"Good morning, Teacher Yun!"
Yun Heng and Xu Bo came to the clinic. Ren Xuedong had already cleaned the clinic neatly and wiped the table and stools clean.
Seeing Yun Heng and Xu Bo coming in, Ren Xuedong greeted them hurriedly and placed the cup of brewed tea in front of Yun Heng.
"Teacher Yun, freshly brewed tea."
"Thanks."
Yun Heng thanked him and said, "Doctor Ren, I can do it myself from now on. No need to bother."
This was actually not the first time Yun Heng had said this. He was a little uncomfortable with Ren Xuedong's attentiveness.
"fine."
Ren Xuedong smiled and said, "I'm taking advantage of you by learning from you. I don't have much to give you, so I can only be diligent and run errands for you."
Yun Heng smiled and said no more.
His situation is actually similar to Ren Xuedong's.
Children from poor families have no background and no connections, so they can only rely on themselves. If they want to learn more from others, there is really nothing they can do except be diligent.
"Doctor Xu, this is yours."
Ren Xuedong also placed Xu Bo's water cup in front of Xu Bo.
"Thank you."
Xu Bo thanked him.
"Hey, you're welcome."
Ren Xuedong smiled and didn't take it seriously. These things were just a piece of cake for him.
That means coming to work ten minutes earlier in the morning and running a few more errands.
How big a difference can ten minutes more sleep make compared to ten minutes less sleep?
But there is more than enough time to wipe the table and tidy up the clinic. Making tea is just in the infusion room across the street. Since it is for Yun Heng, it is just a matter of taking an extra cup.
But if I can win the favor of Yun Heng and Xu Bo, it would be worth it.
As it approached eight o'clock, Yun Heng started calling numbers and began his day's work.
The first patient who came in was a woman in her twenties. She was wrapped tightly and was supported by her husband and mother-in-law. Seeing this, Yun Heng hurriedly stood up and lent a hand.
"What's going on?"
"My lower abdomen hurts, and I still have persistent bleeding, sometimes with blood clots. I've already had a uterine cleaning."
After the woman sat down, she let go of her mother-in-law's support and just grabbed her husband's arm, speaking weakly.
"Are you still in confinement?"
Yun Heng asked.
The woman was wrapped up tightly, wearing thick clothes, a scarf and a hat. It seemed that she was still in confinement after giving birth.
"Yes, it's been seventeen days since I gave birth." The woman nodded.
"Come, put your arm up, let me feel your pulse first."
Yun Heng gestured for the woman to put her arm up, and while feeling her pulse, he continued to ask, "How's your diet? Do you have a good appetite?"
“The diet is OK, the food is OK.”
"What about urination and defecation?"
"Burial and bowel movements are also fine."
The two sides asked and answered each other, and Yun Heng let go of the other person's wrist and pondered for a moment.
While he was pondering, Yun Heng inadvertently noticed that the woman's mother-in-law saw that the woman's scarf was loose, and reached out to help the woman, but the woman opened it with her hand.
The mother-in-law didn't say much, she just withdrew her hand.
"Is the baby a boy or a girl?"
Yun Heng asked.
"It's a daughter."
When Yun Heng asked about the sex of the child, the woman's voice sounded a little uncomfortable, and while she spoke, she glanced at her mother-in-law beside her intentionally or unintentionally.
"Um."
Yun Heng had almost made up his mind. He typed the medical records on the computer, printed out the prescription, signed it, and then handed the prescription to the woman's mother-in-law: "Auntie, go and pay the fee and get the medicine. I have something else to tell you."
"Um."
The mother-in-law responded and went out with the prescription.
After the woman's mother-in-law left, Yun Heng asked the woman, "Does your mother-in-law dislike girls?"
The woman was surprised: "Doctor Yun, how did you know?"
The woman felt that she had not mentioned anything about this just now. With her husband and mother-in-law being around, she naturally would not say such things to their faces. She did not expect that Yun Heng could actually see through it.
"Your condition is caused by a bad mood after childbirth, which leads to liver qi stagnation. Emotional stagnation leads to liver qi dysfunction, which in turn leads to persistent lochia..."
Yun Heng explained, "That means your persistent lochia after giving birth is closely related to your mood. I just noticed that you and your wife have a good relationship, and your mother-in-law cares about you. It doesn't seem like a typical mother-in-law-daughter-in-law conflict, so I guess your mother-in-law doesn't like girls, and that's why she's upset about something."
Ren Xuedong, who was sitting opposite, and Xu Bo, who was sitting next to him, both opened their mouths in slight surprise.
Yun Heng's observation is so meticulous that he actually discovered so many problems.
This patient was the first patient today. No one had come in to Xu Bo's side yet, so when the family of three came in just now, Xu Bo and Ren Xuedong observed the situation very carefully, but they did not find these problems.
"Doctor Yun, you are amazing."
The woman was so surprised that she nodded and said, "My mother-in-law really doesn't like girls. When I was pregnant, she kept talking about her grandson all day long. When the child was born, it was a girl. She took good care of her, but she kept complaining about it being a boy..."
"Once or twice I didn't think much of it, but if it happens too often I get upset. But my mother-in-law is pretty good to me, so I haven't told anyone and just keep it to myself."
"Why didn't you say so earlier?"
