Chapter 153 This is an array

Is this a scene from ancient times?

Jiang Zhi then added red crystals to several other array nodes, and the array nodes displayed different images.

Soon the light on the array core disappeared, and it started absorbing water again. Jiang Zhi entered the space, changed to a new oxygen tank, and then took a large number of high-level crystals. She planned to put a large number of high-level crystals into the array core.

I don't know what will happen, but I'll try anything, even if it seems hopeless.

A large number of crystals were thrown into the array's core, emitting a huge, colorful, and beautiful light.

Jiang Zhi grabbed a rock at the bottom of the water and watched the light refract in the water.

Suddenly, the ground shook violently, and a burst of mud and water rushed out. Jiang Zhi immediately flashed into the space, bringing some mud and water with her. After cleaning up, Jiang Zhi changed into a diving suit and exited the space. The mud and water had been washed away, replaced by a light circle that could only accommodate one person at a time.

She grabbed a chicken from the spatial dimension, tied a waterproof camera and a rope to it, and then threw the chicken into the circle of light. A minute later, she retrieved the rope; the chicken was gone, but the camera was still there.

What happened?

Shi Yang went directly into the space, operated the computer for a while, and the image captured by the camera appeared.

There was a grassy area over there, and you could vaguely see houses.

Wait, why does this scene look so familiar?

It looks exactly the same as the one in my own space.

Is this aperture the entrance to my own space?

Jiang Zhi was stunned.

Wait a minute, her space was originally an independent spacetime, the former Blue Star, not a private domain belonging solely to her. Every time she entered the space, it was a time travel.

She can travel through time with her mind, so what kind of reaction would occur if she entered this circle of light herself?

The chicken was taken from the space and has absorbed its atmosphere.

Just as Jiang Zhi changed into her everyday clothes, Wan Fu appeared in front of her with a bloody, mangled chicken.

"Ouch, Mom, this chicken suddenly appeared and started bleeding. I had to untie the rope."

"Did you notice anything unusual? For example, when this chicken appeared, were there any energy fluctuations around it?" Jiang Zhi asked eagerly.

"I think so."

“Let’s get ashore first and capture two mutated beasts alive. We’ll go into that circle of light like this chicken did. You have to keep an eye on how they appear for your mother,” Jiang Zhi said.

Wanfu nodded and said, "Okay, Mom."

Jiang Zhi didn't go out immediately, but instead chose to eat and drink in the space and rest for two days.

Two days later, she put on her diving suit again, attached her oxygen tank, and stepped out of the space. As soon as she stepped outside, a wave of pressure washed over her. She focused her mind and circulated her internal energy, which greatly reduced the pressure. The higher she went, the less pressure she felt.

Twenty minutes later, Shi Yang stood on land. Looking out, all he could see was a vast ocean.

This is the rhythm of land turning into sea.

Jiang Zhi sat on the kayak and casually released Wanfu. The two of them floated on the water for a long time before catching two mutated animals. Jiang Zhi directly stunned the five or six unknown mutated fish. It was clear that these fish originally had no teeth, but after mutation, they became something like piranhas.

After being anesthetized, they tied him up tightly and left him on the dinghy.

Then, a camera was hung around Wanfu's neck and sent into the space. The main purpose was to prevent the mutated fish from entering the space from different places. What Wanfu's eyes saw was very likely to be different from what she saw, so the camera was used to record it.

After completing all this, Jiang Zhi herself entered the space and set up a camera network within it.

It mainly detects the edges of space and the scene outside the space.

Having lived through so many years of apocalypse, I've never seen anything outside of space.

Jiang Zhi had a bold idea: each array eye should correspond to a light circle, and this light circle is a teleportation array. Perhaps the next light circle will not teleport her to her own space.

That's why so many fish were caught, so that something could be put into each aperture.

The next morning, Jiang Zhi left the space and looked up at the sky, feeling that the sky seemed less bright than usual.

Her time is running out.

Once the polar night arrives, this place will be frozen solid, and since there's no teleportation ability, she'll be trapped inside.

After replenishing their energy, they continued diving, placing live animals and cameras into each of the array's points.

As she expected, each array point led to a different destination. Once the mutated fish entered, the ropes snapped.

What exactly is going on?

Jiang Zhi carefully felt around the center of the formation; what did the pattern represent?

She didn't have many memories inherited from the ancients, and she couldn't figure it out for the time being.

Back in the space, Wanfu was fishing in the pond. He caught two fish, but Jiang Zhi didn't want to eat them. Her mind was filled with images of the mutated fish after they entered other array eyes, and she lost interest in eating them when she saw them.

"Mom, don't worry, we still have time."

Jiang Zhi stroked Wanfu's head. Twenty years before and after her rebirth, Jiang Zhi's mentality had undergone earth-shattering changes. She longed to return to a peaceful and harmonious world, a world full of warmth and humanity, instead of the one where everyone was struggling to move forward.

She could have easily retreated to some corner of the world and lived in seclusion, but the legacy in her mind told her that no one could escape it, including herself.

Blue Star will be reduced to nothing, restarting its millennia-long evolution. She has died once and doesn't want to die a second time.

Even rebirth cannot change the complete demise of life.

Why not take a gamble? Even if the final outcome is still death, it doesn't matter.

Wanfu keenly sensed Jiang Zhi's emotional change, nestled beside her legs, and rubbed against her skin.

The warm fur gave Jiang Zhi a sense of security.

She said, "Yes, I'm sure I'll find a way."

Jiang Zhi quickly grilled some beef skewers and then immersed herself in reading ancient books. Some of the patterns were obscure and difficult to understand, but Jiang Zhi, Wan Fu, and the cat managed to decipher them by combining their brains.

Over the past ten years, Jiang Zhi has done much more than just farm. She has read all the useful books in her space and hasn't neglected her studies at all.

"Found it!" Wanfu pressed its paw against the image on the book and excitedly called out to Jiang Zhi, "Mom, come and see this."

Under Wanfu's claws was a picture book with star patterns drawn on it, and these patterns were very similar to those of a magic array.

Jiang Zhi picked up the book cover.

"This is a hand-drawn book." It's obviously not from a regular publishing house; it was just something I accidentally picked up when I was collecting materials.

The star pattern on it also resembles a Bagua (eight trigrams), but it's slightly off-center.

Jiang Zhi copied it down and combined it with what she saw in the water and what was passed down, connecting them together.
