Chaos Update

Chaos Update

late at night.

When the temperature reached 38 or 39 degrees Celsius, the mold on the second floor seemed to have arrived in heaven. It blossomed in all colors and began to expand its territory outward in an orderly manner, slowly on the damp tile floor and faster on the walls painted with putty, especially on the wooden doors and windows. Overnight, they were covered with all kinds of strange and bizarre fungal entities, commonly known as mushrooms.

Colorful molds with hyphae slowly crawl on the ground and walls, and brightly colored and beautiful mushrooms bloom on the wood.

Looking from the corridor on the second floor, the walls on the ground look like a lawn full of colorful flowers. You might even feel as if you have fallen into a fairy tale world. In the dim moonlight, it feels as eerie as if you are facing a rag doll.

What a rapid expansion capability!

Jiang Miao stood on the stairs, secretly frightened. He took out a toy slingshot and a block of alcohol, lit them, and immediately shot them inside.

The block of alcohol fell on the beautiful lawn with flames. The fiery red flames immediately broke through the hypocritical beautiful appearance, revealing the dirty black and gray heart underneath.

Then, Jiang Miao threw a dozen alcohol blocks into the corridor, which burned into a large area with a bright red glow. The mycelium made crackling sounds in the firelight, but it was just as Jiang Miao had guessed.

It is not a group of millions, but individuals sharing one brain.

It immediately abandons the place where the alcohol block is, and forms a circle around it to control the fire source inside. It waits until it burns out and the temperature drops, then it slowly occupies the place again.

The entire second floor hallway was filled with this stuff, and there was no way to clean it out unless you burned the house down!

But it was hailing outside and we couldn't get out. If the fire spread out of control, the people inside might die sooner than being infected by the mold.

Jiang Miao tried many methods throughout the night, but this thing was so stubborn that there was no way to eradicate it. Seeing that it was almost dawn at five o'clock, she had to return empty-handed.

The next morning, Jiang Miao ate two steamed dumplings. Before he could finish the third one, he heard someone in the dormitory next to him crying, "Am I hallucinating because of hunger? I smelled the scent of Kung Pao Chicken yesterday, and now I smell the scent of soup dumplings... woooo..."

The water vapor would carry the smell of food and spread everywhere. Jiang Miao silently stuffed the unfinished steamer into the space and replaced it with sandwiches and coffee as breakfast.

The aroma of Chinese food is so strong and fragrant that it will be exposed if you are not careful.

This also served as a wake-up call for her to pay attention to this issue in the future.

"Ah——!" It was as if the scream of a death knell rang out again. Everyone's face looked shocked and painful, and they even felt resistance and didn't want to understand.

Classmates can resist, but teachers cannot.

Two teachers hurried to the fourth floor. The four students who were assigned to clean up the mold yesterday had mold of different colors fluttering in the wind in their eye sockets, nasal cavities, mouths and ear canals, as if they were proudly declaring their victory.

Another person died... Teacher He slumped to the ground with a look of despair in his eyes. Including what happened yesterday, six people have now died in the dormitory building. This is a very serious safety accident. He might even go to jail!

The weird scene frightened everyone and made them step back. Such a horrifying scene made everyone afraid to move the body. A student on the fourth floor covered his mouth and nose and pulled two teachers to the stairs: "The third floor, the third floor is probably already..."

Looking down through the gap in the handrail, the lawn-like mold hyphae have surrounded the entire stairwell on the third floor, and you can't even see a trace of the intact ground in the corridor on the third floor!

But there are still three students on the third floor who haven’t come up yet…

No screams were heard, and it might even be that when they closed their eyes and fell asleep, the spreading mold silently climbed up their beds, clothes, and skin, and then unscrupulously absorbed their vitality, and then slowly devoured them, becoming one with them.

Such a horrifying conjecture makes one's hair stand on end. These molds are simply killing people invisibly!

Seven lives, this terrible horror mold has claimed the lives of seven people.

In the sultry weather, everyone's scalp was tingling and cold sweats were breaking out on their backs. No one dared to step forward to take a second look at the corpses; they were almost numb.

Because of the unknown and fear, humans continue to give up their own territories, and the scope of free movement has shrunk again. Now, only the fifth floor of the entire dormitory building is the safest.

But the fifth floor does not accept people from the fourth floor. They have all received nine years of compulsory education and everyone knows that mold can spread and reproduce through spores.

They stayed on the fourth floor for a whole night. Who knows if they would bring mold up and contaminate the last pure place on the fifth floor!

The students on the fourth floor were of course indignant. How could they dare to stay next to the corpse when that thing was so scary! They only regretted that they thought it was troublesome to move an extra floor. Who could have known that this thing was so scary!

Both sides insisted on their own opinions and refused to give in. The two teachers looked dazed. It turned out that they were the ones who harmed these students, directly or indirectly.

Among all the students, the one who jumped the most violently was Jiang Xiang. She seemed to be crazy and kept cursing people for being conscienceless, immoral, and having no classmate friendship and refusing to take them in. Her words were extremely unpleasant.

Jiang Xiang's classmates on the fifth floor saw her jumping up and down like a clown and couldn't help but sneer: "Do you have any sense of shame? Who on earth took in a half-dead man and brought him to our girls' dormitory to cause so much trouble? What qualifications do you have to express your opinions here?"

Jiang Xiang raised his neck and argued loudly: "I was not the only one who agreed at that time. The two teachers also agreed. Otherwise, how could I dare to rescue him openly!"

The two teachers were suffering from more and more heart attacks and were unable to speak.

"Don't be so shameless, you are everyone's sinner, do you know that? We are all qualified to enter the fifth floor except you!"

"That's right! Do you deserve it? You white lotus saint, how dare you harm the entire dormitory building?"

The situation was at a stalemate for a while, with both sides blocking the stairs and refusing to give in.

"It's so fast! Look how fast it is!" someone cried out. The students on the fourth floor immediately stretched their heads to take a look and exclaimed, "Those things are climbing up the stairs!"

"Oh my god, is the fourth floor going to be..."

The fear of death enveloped everyone. They dared not breathe deeply, and could only cover their mouths and noses, sobbing and begging quietly: "Please let us in, otherwise we really won't survive tomorrow!"

Seeing them crying so pitifully, a girl advised them, "Why don't we let them in? We can squeeze in and find a place to stay."

Another person yelled, "Don't be silly, it's the end of the world! Do you understand the end of the world?!"

Hail was crackling, and bricks were falling from the sixth floor from time to time, so we didn't dare to live there. Seeing that thing was about to climb up the second step leading to the fourth floor, the students on the fourth floor became anxious and prepared to rush in!

In the dormitory, Jiang Miao was calculating its speed on the balcony.
