Chapter 112 A Little Craving, Recommending Snail Rice Noodles

After resting for a while, Shen Zhiyi continued with the afternoon's schedule.

Let Fox Moon knead the dough, and let Shen Zhiyi chop the bamboo shoots. After the pork is chopped, add them in and mix them together.

The little pink-haired girl rested her front paws on the low table, glancing at Fox Moon and then at Shen Zhiyi.

I'm very curious about how steamed buns are made.

It went to play with the dried fish this morning and didn't see how it was wrapped.

Shen Zhiyi let the little pink-haired dog into her arms so it wouldn't have to stay on the low table.

The little pink-haired girl stared at Shen Zhiyi's movements, watching her quickly wrap the buns.

Everyone was shocked.

So that's where the steamed buns I ate for lunch came from.

Humans are amazing!

The little pink-haired girl's brain was working like crazy.

After the aroma of the first batch of steamed buns wafted out, the little pink-haired girl ran out of Shen Zhiyi's arms.

He huddled by the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed), staring longingly at the direction of the steamer, his mouth practically watering.

It smells so good!

The little pink-haired girl slurped a few bites and turned to bite Chen Zhiyi's sleeve.

"Squeak~" It smells delicious! I want to eat it~

The little pink-haired boy's greedy look made Shen Zhiyi laugh.

"It's not ripe yet, wait a little longer, and I'll share it with you when it's ripe."

The little pink-haired creature blinked its eyes, "Squeak!" Okay!

The other little ones, smelling the aroma, also stared at the steamer, looking quite greedy.

Hearing Shen Zhiyi speak, he held back and waited while playing nearby.

His little eyes kept glancing at the steamer.

"Tsk, I wasn't as greedy as they were when I was a kid." Fox Moon shook her head with a tsk.

Shen Zhiyi ruthlessly exposed: "If you had smelled this when you were a child, could you really resist the urge to eat it?"

Fox Moon: "I definitely won't be tempted!"

Shen Zhiyi: "I don't believe it."

"..." Fox Moon snorted, ignoring Shen Zhiyi, and continued to wrap dumplings.

After the first batch of steamed buns was ready, Shen Zhiyi got off the kang (heated brick bed) and opened the steamer.

The kids who noticed Shen Zhiyi's actions immediately surrounded her.

He stared longingly at the steamer in her hand.

I picked up six pieces, put them in a bowl, and placed them on the table. The little ones couldn't wait to run over to them.

It tried to pick one up, and then got burned.

"They're fresh out of the steamer, they're very hot. Let them sit for a while before eating, okay?" Shen Zhiyi was still packing the buns into boxes.

The little pink-haired cat was almost frantic, but since Shen Zhiyi had already said that, it didn't dare to continue biting, afraid of getting burned.

She took a few more and set them aside to cool, so she, Fox Moon, and Ah Jin could eat them later.

Suddenly remembering something, Shen Zhiyi packed two boxes of steamed buns, intending to take them to Qi Jing.

When they opened the door, they found that Qi Jing had already removed the rope and left.

I stood at the door for a few minutes before putting the buns back inside.

After replacing the water tower, I went back to steam the second batch of buns.

The afternoon passed quickly.

I made about 150 steamed buns with bamboo shoot and pork filling.

Shen Zhiyi traded another one with each person.

After deducting what she ate in the afternoon, she still had 40 bamboo shoot and pork filling buns left.

There are still three water tanks that haven't finished filtering.

But the rain outside is getting lighter and lighter, and Shen Zhiyi estimates that it will stop tonight.

For dinner, we ate the braised venison that Sangsang had given us a couple of days ago.

The little pink-haired animals hadn't left yet, and they had already tasted the venison.

The evening routine was the same: putting cotton-padded coats on the shelves.

After finishing her work for the evening, Shen Zhiyi led the little ones into sleep.

The next morning, before Shen Zhiyi woke up, the little pink-haired girl took her friends and left.

When I went out, I ran into a little snow monster playing by itself.

The five beasts and one monster stared at each other for a long while.

Only when the little snow monster made a move did the pink-haired boy quickly lead his friends away.

The little snow monster stared blankly in the direction the pink-haired little creature had left. It took it a while before it came to its senses and looked down at the glowing pearl on its belly.

After waking up, Shen Zhiyi habitually reached out to touch the side, only to find nothing.

When I opened my eyes, the little pink-haired girl was gone.

Looking to the side, I saw that only Little Fish Dried Fish was fast asleep in the spot where Gudu Beast was sleeping.

After working hard for several days, Shen Zhiyi was exhausted and decided to give up for a day.

This also meant that Black Wolf no longer needed to go out and photograph the Yeti, and they could just sit around doing nothing.

Black Wolf hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

Okay.

So he lay down on the kang (a heated brick bed) again, squinting his eyes.

I had only been slacking off for two minutes when Sangsang's video came through again.

Sangsang: "Xingxing! The rain has stopped outside! Thank goodness for your reminder, I've stored up a lot of water."

Shen Zhiyi got up several times last night and replaced all the water tanks outside that were always in use.

Now all eleven of her water towers are filled with clean, usable water.

She also pulled out the rainwater she had collected during the last heavy rainstorm from her backpack, which she had left unfiltered.

We still need to get this done today.

Shen Zhiyi sighed. She couldn't slack off today; she still had to work.

"Xingxing, why are you sighing all of a sudden?" Sangsang asked.

Shen Zhiyi snapped out of her reverie. "It's nothing, I just suddenly remembered something."

"Oh, right!" Sangsang took something out from the side. "This morning, a star beast came to my nebula and gave me some supplies."

Sangsang was holding a packet of snail rice noodles.

"So, how about we have a stinky meal together for lunch?" Sangsang suggested.

Shen Zhiyi hadn't had snail rice noodles in a long time and was craving them too. "Okay, then go ask Brother Peng?"

Speaking of Chen Peng, Sangsang's face fell. "I just asked him, and Brother Peng rejected me without hesitation."
