Chapter 225 The Fragrance of South Town, NPC Feeding Fish

"Just two days ago, a crazy woman came to West Town and actually brought explosives with her."

"After taking it, she secretly planted the explosives in a house in the east of the city when no one was paying attention to her, and detonated them at night."

At this point, the female guard sighed, feeling very sorry for the family.

"You have no idea, not a single one of those seven family members survived."

"By the time we arrived, it was already a pile of ruins. The seven people were blown up and crushed to death by the house destroyed by the explosives."

"The manner of death was extremely gruesome. When we took the body out, it was truly a sight to behold."

At this point, the female guards could no longer continue.

This shows how terrifying the scene was.

The female guard checked Shen Zhiyi from head to toe to make sure she wasn't carrying anything she shouldn't have before letting her go.

They didn't even spare Fox Moon, who was standing to the side.

He was held in the arms of the female guard, who carefully stroked his fur to make sure there was nothing hidden inside.

"..."

Shen Zhiyi fell silent.

The inspection was very thorough.

After passing the inspection, Shen Zhiyi and Hu Yue successfully entered Xizhen.

Shen Zhiyi felt that the bombing incident the female guard had just told her about was not a coincidence.

Rather, it was done intentionally by someone.

How could it be such a coincidence that the explosion happened before she was supposed to come to Xizhen?

That family of seven probably knew something but didn't want her to find out, so they simply went all the way and blew them all up, destroying the house as well.

Make sure she can't find anything.

This bombing was quite a coincidence.

However, Shen Zhiyi did not intend to stay in West Town for long; after finding the NPC, she still had to rush to North Town.

Oh right, Lin Qingrong gave her a gift when she left. She opened it afterward; it was a piece of coral.

The search for coral has reached (5/10).

The task submitted to the NPC for the special snowflake has been stuck at (3/10).

Although Wang Qianyu took the special snowflake meant for her, the progress has not shown any upward trend.

Wang Qianyu still did not accept that special snowflake.

Shen Zhiyi guessed that Wang Qianyu might only accept the special snowflake after she unraveled the secret surrounding Wang Qianyu and completed the fifth task.

Hmm, I still need to find some time to go find Goddess Blade.

Shen Zhiyi still gets a headache just thinking about it now.

The NPCs in West Town were easy to find; I found one right away and submitted it.

After submitting the submission, Shen Zhiyi was about to leave when an NPC called out to her, "Hey, little girl, did you just come from South Town?"

Shen Zhiyi looked at the NPC with a puzzled expression, "How did you know?"

"Hey, I have a relative in Nanzhen. Every time she goes to Nanzhen and comes back, she always carries a special fragrance of Nanzhen with her."

"I just smelled your scent, that's why I thought of asking you."

Fearing that Shen Zhiyi might misunderstand, the NPC quickly explained to her.

After saying that, the NPC paused for a moment, "There seems to be this smell in those ruins too..."

"What are you talking about?"

Shen Zhiyi heard everything that came before, but she didn't hear the last sentence clearly because the NPC spoke in a low voice.

"Ah, it's nothing." The NPC realized what was happening and quickly said, "When you came from South Town, did you see anyone suspicious?"

Actually, this NPC has some connection with the guards of West Town. She also wants to find out more clues for the guards so that they can bring that person to justice.

Shen Zhiyi hesitated. Come to think of it, besides Aunt Lin and the escaped Guo Zexin, she couldn't think of anyone else who might be suspicious.

However, she wasn't quite sure if it was either of those two people.

After thinking for a moment, Shen Zhiyi told the NPC what she knew. If one of the two people was still in Xizhen, it would be good if they were arrested.

"Okay, okay, thank you so much for telling me all this." The NPC patted his pockets, suddenly pulled something out, and stuffed it into Shen Zhiyi's hand.

"I don't have much, so I'll just give you this."

After stuffing the items in, the NPC turned and left, not giving Shen Zhiyi a chance to speak.

Shen Zhiyi looked at the small box in her hand, then at the NPC who had already walked away.

Silently, I opened the box; inside were a few beads.

Shen Zhiyi raised an eyebrow, feeling that this thing was a sea pearl?

He opened the panel, traded with Chen Peng, left a message, and continued searching for the next NPC.

Upon arriving at the location indicated in the information, Shen Zhiyi did not see any NPCs. She took out the information again and checked it, confirming that she had not gone to the wrong place; this was the place.

There is a river on the edge of Xizhen, and the place mentioned in the information is the riverbank.

Shen Zhiyi found a place to sit by the river, thinking she would wait and see if the NPC would appear.

I sat there for a long time, and the sun was almost setting, before a figure finally strolled over from the side.

The man was carrying a box in one hand and holding a fishing rod in the other.

After finding a good spot, the man took a small stool, set up a lamp on the side, and began to slowly fish.

Shen Zhiyi came over after he finished his work.

"Hello, I'm here to deliver special snowflakes."

Shen Zhiyi tugged at her pants and squatted down next to the NPC.

"Special snowflakes? Can I see them?" The NPC's voice was very old.

Shen Zhiyi then realized that this NPC was already an elderly man in his twilight years.

"Why are you fishing by the river at this hour?" Shen Zhiyi disapproved of the NPC's actions and took out a special snowflake.

The NPC smiled and said, "I'm used to it."

"If I don't come fishing, I don't know what else to do, so I'll just come fishing, hahaha."

“The road here isn’t very easy to walk on. Haven’t you thought about going somewhere else?” Shen Zhiyi handed over the special snowflake.

The NPC took the special snowflake, held it to his eyes, squinted, and examined it closely. "Oh, my little daughter used to love special snowflakes."

"It's a pity she's no longer here."

The NPC caught a fish on his fishing rod. With a pull, he yanked the rod up, revealing a plump fish on the hook.

The NPC removed the fish from the hook and tossed it aside.

Shen Zhiyi was somewhat puzzled by the NPC's actions, but she did not ask any questions.

Just then, a commotion came from the bushes on one side.

An orange kitten stretched out its paw from the grass. It first looked at the familiar NPCs, then at the new strangers, and hesitated for a moment.

Then he retracted his paws, lay down in the grass and stared at Shen Zhiyi, his airplane ears sticking out.

"Don't be afraid, come and eat the fish," the NPC called out gently.

Upon hearing the NPC's voice, the orange kitten wanted to rush out, but then it saw the humans nearby. After thinking for a moment, it circled around and picked up the fish next to it.
