"During the six months she was taken home, Jingya desperately wanted to escape, but how could her family let her escape again?"
As a result, Jingya was placed under house arrest. Her father was very disappointed in her when he saw her madness.
They originally brought Jingya back because they were worried that something might have happened to her, and that she had been tricked into running away from home. But after bringing Jingya back, they realized that they were completely wrong.
Jingya left on her own; she wasn't deceived. She left home because of her own impossible little thoughts.
But no matter how disappointed they were in Jingya, they didn't want her to go back to that kind of hard life.
After discussing it, the family decided to marry Jingya off to a local merchant. When Jingya found out, she used a trick to escape.
After escaping, that's what I just mentioned.
Jingya was shocked by the ruins on the island, and she was horrified to discover that she could not remember what Dias looked like.
So, she went mad.
When Jingya's family found her again, she was in a state that was neither human nor ghost.
Driven by extreme hatred, Jingya killed her own family.
Upon hearing this, Shen Zhiyi didn't know what to say.
He killed his parents for an impossible mermaid?
But that's someone else's story, and she shouldn't make any judgments.
After killing her family, Jingya burned down her former home.
She said she didn't need this family; it was this family that ruined her and destroyed everything she had.
Then she disappeared.
When he reappeared, Dias had become the new king of the merfolk.
Jingya no longer remembers Diyas's face, or perhaps she also hates Diyas.
Jingya stole Dias's crown. Without the crown, Dias's throne was somewhat illegitimate.
The mermaid clan, of course, was not as peaceful as it appeared; after the crown was lost, internal strife broke out.
Jingya knew that she had become like this because of the mermaid, and that her disappearance was due to her fall into witchcraft.
"After all, only wizards can contend with mermaids."
Jingya frequently stirs up trouble involving mermaids and often instigates wars between the mermaid race and other races.
The constant warfare left the mermaid race exhausted. In the final battle, the mermaids were ambushed by Jingya and defeated.
The mermaid race was already plagued by internal strife, and Jingya's actions caused it to fall apart.
The mermaids, led by Dias, left the seas where they had lived for generations and went south.
The mermaids, led by the second prince, Tiano, went to the northern sea.
The sea area where they had lived for generations was naturally taken over by Jingya and became her base.
Because the mermaid race split into two, and many things were taken away by the other side, very few of their offspring survive.
However, neither side was willing to back down, and before long, the Northern Mermaids were wiped out, and there were no more Mermaids in the Northern Sea.
Only the Southern Mermaid remained, barely clinging to life.
The biggest beneficiary, Jingya, used forceful means to plunder the treasures left behind by the mermaids in the North Sea and seize them for herself.
By this time, Jingya had long since become a profit-driven sorcerer.
Later, many, many more things happened.
There are not many mermaids left in the South China Sea. In order to support the newborn twins in their tribe, the remaining tribe members all turned into nutrients to support the twins.
The twins did not disappoint their expectations; they grew rapidly, reaching a very powerful level. It's a pity they couldn't see it.
The NPC smiled and shook his head, expressing regret for the story.
Shen Zhiyi frowned and asked, "Jingya, didn't she suffer any retaliation? It was clearly her own ulterior motives that caused the mermaid clan to fall apart."
"Her? Well, how should I put it?" The NPC pondered for a moment, then said, "Don't you think all of these parties are at fault?"
Shen Zhiyi nodded. In this story, there is no right person, nor is there anyone who is completely right.
The NPC stood up and said, "Go ahead, you can go for a walk around the neighborhood. Otherwise, it'll be quite boring to stay in this courtyard with me all day."
Shen Zhiyi also stood up, "There are kittens in the courtyard, so you won't be bored."
The NPC shook his head and headed towards the backyard. "Jingya has become a renowned witch, and because of her resentment, she occasionally comes out to harm living beings."
"When Jingya learned that the twins were the last bloodline of Dias, she had the idea of killing the twins."
"One of the twins was found by Jingya shortly after giving birth to a daughter."
In order to save her child's life, she dragged her weakened body away from Jingya, only to be cruelly murdered by Jingya.
Jingya did look for the child, but she didn't find him. She thought that a child couldn't cause any trouble, and besides, mermaids can't survive without nourishment.
Therefore, Jingya stopped searching for the child.
Shen Zhiyi followed slowly behind the NPC, "So, did that child survive in the end?"
The NPC turned around and gave her a meaningful look. "Of course."
"However, Jingya will not allow the bloodline of Dias to survive in this world. She cannot kill the other twin son, but she can target the child of the deceased son."
After learning that the child was not dead, Jingya went to great lengths to find her, raised her at all costs, and sent her to the side of another child.
And then, by some unexpected coincidence, she was told who had murdered her mother.
At this point, the NPC stopped talking.
Shen Zhiyi also understood the reason behind the story told by the NPC.
Some legends may seem like just legends, but... what if one of them is actually true?
The NPC and Shen Zhiyi have arrived in the backyard.
He pointed to the vegetable garden and said, "See that vegetable? Pick some, I'll make you vegetable pancakes."
Shen Zhiyi nodded and went into the vegetable garden to help pick vegetables.
The NPC walked away with a smile, and disappeared to do something else.
After picking for a while, Shen Zhiyi called out, "How many do you want to pick?"
"Fill the basket." The NPC left a basket there before walking away.
After picking the vegetables, Shen Zhiyi came out of the vegetable garden, took a basket, and went to the well to wash them.
The NPC also emerged from one of the small rooms.
He handed the necklace to Shen Zhiyi, saying, "Take it."
Shen Zhiyi wiped her wet hands on her body and took the necklace from the NPC with a bewildered look.
"Isn't this a special snowflake? Why did you give me another one?"
The NPC grabbed a stool from the side and came over to help Shen Zhiyi wash the vegetables.
"Just take it, you'll need it later."
