Chapter 17

Qin Xin knew that the little monster had a strong taste, and she did not forget that he had coated the gray meatballs with chili powder before eating them last night.

When choosing dishes, choose those with strong flavors.

It's summer now, and the best thing to eat is crayfish, so this dish is essential. She doesn't like spicy food, so she sent Aunt Zhang a menu with one spicy crayfish and one garlic crayfish.

There was also pickled fish, braised pork, Kung Pao chicken, mapo tofu... braised spareribs, all of which she wanted. Of course, these were not her favorites, but were prepared for that little monster.

Considering that she had a big appetite, I picked out some light dishes.

Ice cream and watermelon too!

Many people would like to have something cool and refreshing after eating these heavy flavors. The little monster has a big appetite, so she specifically asked for more ice cream and the watermelon must be big and sweet so that she would not have to eat it all.

After sending a series of menus to Aunt Zhang, Qin Xin got busy.

Aunt Zhang didn't ask why when she received the news. Her employer had ordered her to prepare these things, and all she had to do was prepare them. Only by talking less and doing more could her employer be satisfied.

Working here is almost like retirement. She is responsible for cooking and doesn't have to clean, so it's very easy.

It was around nine in the morning when Jane heard some noise outside. She knew Aunt Zhang came around this time every day, but usually not so loud.

She walked out of the room and realized what was going on.

Aunt Zhang must have brought a group of chefs with her. They were all dressed like chefs, and their attire alone made them look very professional. Actually, they were quite quiet, but Jian Yi was very sharp and could hear the difference from the usual noises. After all, there were seven or eight people here, and the sound of their movements was definitely different.

"Aunt Zhang, this is..." Jane Yi asked habitually when she saw Aunt Zhang looking at her.

Aunt Zhang put on a smile and said, "We are all here to help Miss Qin prepare lunch. We need too many dishes, so we asked the chef to come and help."

"Oh oh oh, so that's how it is." Jane Yi's eyes lit up. This is the life of the second generation. Look at the second generation, they can eat whatever they want. Just give an order and someone will bring a chef to cook at home.

This is the benefit of having a small appetite.

Take her family for example. Her parents have good salaries, but they all have big appetites, so they basically spend all their money as soon as they get it.

When she was a child, her parents would save money and eat very sparingly, after all, they had to raise a child. After she became an adult, she never heard of her parents' salary being in their bank account for more than three days.

Jane expressed her envy, saying her parents could spend their wages immediately after receiving them. After all, they were government employees, and their meals were usually provided by the government. But she was different, having to eat sparingly.

Alas, life is not easy, and even beasts have to sigh.

Jane Yi returned to her room and continued to think about her food-streaming career. She even opened a document to make plans. By the time she was almost done, she saw it was already lunchtime. She wondered how busy Aunt Zhang was in the kitchen and what she'd be cooking. She was hungry and eagerly anticipating the meal.

She definitely wanted to do the eating broadcast, as catching evil spirits wasn't something she'd find every day. It was too far, and she didn't want to go because she didn't have the money.

Jane opened the shopping app, intending to buy some gear for her livestream. She still had some money in her account, but she'd been saving it, and it was all gone in a flash.

But if she doesn't make good money this month, she will be starving next month.

The equipment you buy doesn’t need to be too good for now, as long as it is cost-effective.

After placing the order, she planned to go out and take a look.

When she opened the door, she saw Qin Xin standing at the door. Her hand was still there, and she must be here to call her for dinner.

"Just right, let's go out for dinner." Qin Xin put down her hand. "Aunt Zhang has been busy all morning and finally made what I want to eat."

She was used to speaking against her will, and it was also the fault of this little monster.

Jane couldn't help swallowing her saliva and smelled the scent. It was really... fragrant.

I want to swallow the table in one go.

Jian Yi followed Qin Xin to the dining table, which was filled with food, most of which were her favorite dishes. They were shiny red, and the chili peppers made up a large portion of them. She almost lost her composure and started to devour them.

She still has some self-control and will never reveal the truth that she can swallow up this dining table in front of ordinary people.

"Eat." Qin Xin greeted, "Would you like some wine?" Qin Xin pointed to a box of beer on the side, "If you want to drink, take it yourself. There are also drinks over there. I don't usually drink these, so you're welcome if you like. Otherwise, I don't know what to do with it."

Jane tried to maintain her reserved demeanor and smiled, "Then I won't be polite."

Oh, it’s really hard to control myself in front of so many delicious foods.

"The watermelon is huge, and Aunt Zhang didn't finish cutting it. The rest is in the refrigerator, so you can help yourself. Oh, and there's ice cream in the freezer. Aunt Zhang had someone make it fresh." After a pause, Qin Xin said, "I'm going to my parents' after dinner and may not be back until tomorrow night. What do you want to eat? There are plenty of ingredients in the refrigerator, so you can make it yourself."

It was the first time that Jian Yi heard Qin Xin talk about her family, and she subconsciously asked, "In this city?"

"No, it's very close, in the next-door Wan City. I went to college in Rong City, so I chose to live in Rong City. After all, there are more people my age here." Qin Xin explained, "Let's eat. These won't taste good if they get cold."

After Qin Xin said this, Jian Yi could no longer hold back and began to eat politely. Qin Xin looked at Jian Yi's anxious look, wanting to eat but having to eat slowly, and a faint smile appeared on the corner of his lips.

This little monster has quite a bit of endurance.

Even though he is so greedy, he can still control his behavior.

By the way, if the little monster is a Taotie, based on people's understanding of the habits of this ferocious beast, it should be difficult for it to control its greed for food.

However, humans' understanding of these beasts is based solely on information from books, which isn't necessarily true. Only the beasts themselves know what they're really like.

Qin Xin ate a few mouthfuls in a hurry and said goodbye to Jian Yi. Of course, she did not forget to remind Jian Yi that if she couldn't finish the food, she could let Aunt Zhang deal with it.

She saw the stars in Jane's eyes, and she was obviously thinking, this is nothing?

Jane Yi let out a long sigh. She originally held the crayfish in her hand, but she only picked off the head and threw it away, and swallowed the rest.

In fact, it is a waste to throw away the shrimp heads, but she has developed some human habits.

The crayfish's head is full of shit, so forget about eating it. It's a bit disgusting just thinking about it.

Qin Xin was driving on the road, actually a little nervous, wondering if she could get the answers she wanted tonight.

She had no intention of telling her family about her changes. She was still very surprised about this. She had a good relationship with her family, but she didn't want to share this secret.

Meanwhile, Jane had finished her meal and was about to check her shopping app to see if there was anything else she wanted to buy.

As a result, she received a call and looked at the caller ID. It was her college classmate and roommate.

She picked up the phone: "Xu Ling?"

"Is... is it Jane?"

Jane Yi heard the trembling and frightened voice on the phone and asked quickly, "What's wrong with you?"
