Chapter 36 The Leader of the Meteor City Troupe 36 (Organization revised...)

Kuroro was genuinely startled.

But he quickly realized what had happened and reacted immediately, getting up to help Ayana and raising his voice to call out into the house.

Is anyone there? Who hasn't gone out?

Kuroro supported Ayana with his left shoulder and tried to pull the irrational boy on the ground forward with his other arm, looking very hard.

However, his strength was not great enough to drag two people at the same time, and the boy on the ground was only moved forward a couple of times.

"What's all the noise about, Kuroro? Can't a person get some sleep at night?"

Uvogin walked out of his room, his hair a mess.

He seemed to have been woken up by Kuroro's voice. He was currently very sleepy and his voice sounded a little irritable, but when he saw Ayana at the door, his sleepiness vanished instantly.

Uvogin leaped in front of Ayana in a few steps: "Ayana?! Who beat you up like this?! Do you want me to avenge you?!"

Ayana waved her hand, indicating that it wasn't necessary, then pointed to the boy on the ground and squeezed out a voice with difficulty: "Help me, get him in there. Is Feitan there? Let him try to get some information out of him."

Uvogin quickly caught the boy on the ground and rushed into Feitan's room in one go. His extremely fast speed and unrestrained strength allowed him to slap Feitan's door open with one hand.

As Ayana heard the door being slammed against the glass and the glass shattering, she also heard her own heart breaking.

Aaaaaahh ...

Ayana roared inwardly, her expression even contorting into a ferocious grimace.

"Ayana?" Chrollo seemed to understand Ayana's thoughts and comforted her from the side, "It should... it should be fine. Feitan will have Uvogin fix the door for his room, so you don't need to worry."

Sure enough, the next second, a sound of anger came from Feitan's room.

Ayana's lips twitched. She rubbed her temples, deciding to ignore the matter. Leaning against Kuroro, she slowly walked to the living room, collapsed onto the sofa, radiating exhaustion.

"Thank you for your hard work, Ayana."

Kuroro wasn't idle either. He was truly a sweetheart. Seeing that Ayana was too tired, he jogged over to get her some water, then took out a few pieces of bread from the refrigerator, quickly ran back, and handed them to Ayana.

The little boy's eyes were full of concern: "Have some water first, then eat something. You've worked so hard, you must have used up a lot of energy, you must be tired and hungry?"

"If this isn't enough, I'll find a way to make you something else?"

Ayana took the water: "No need, it's alright, don't bother me so late."

She struggled to lift her upper body from the sofa, took the water Kuroro handed her, and said, "I'll take a shower in a bit, then I need to rest as soon as possible. I need to get some information from Feitan tomorrow morning. Kuroro, you should go to sleep early too."

“It’s not good for children to stay up late.” At this point, Ayana’s voice suddenly stopped.

She suddenly looked Kuroro up and down very seriously, her eyes gleaming with what seemed like maternal love. This startled Kuroro for a moment, and he hesitated before asking, "Wh...what's wrong?"

The boy's face had gained some weight, and the baby fat typical of this age had increased a bit, making him even cuter.

The boy, dressed only in a white shirt and black shorts, was still very thin, and his exposed arms were so thin that you could even see the bones, which was heartbreaking to see.

"Kuroro!!" Aiana's voice suddenly rose, she became excited for some reason, and pressed her hands on Kuroro's shoulders, "Have you been eating properly these past few days!"

Kuroro was completely bewildered by the question: "Huh? Yes... I guess so?"

"What does 'yes' mean? It means either yes or no!"

"Don't lie to me! Or I'll get angry!"

The girl adopted a mature demeanor, her brows furrowed, and she put her hands on her hips as she began to lecture: "Do you know that health is the foundation of everything, and to have good health, eating well and being well-fed is the basics!"

"You are still in a critical period of growth. If you don't get enough nutrition, how can you grow tall and strong? What will you do in the future?"

"Ah...ah?" Kuroro's eyes were filled with confusion.

On the system's numerical panel, Kuroro's various physical stats remained at a very low level, and the red "malnutrition" indicator was heartbreaking to see.

Ayana is determined to raise Kuroro, this adorable little boy, into a big, healthy man.

"Wait...wait, Ayana, why are you suddenly bringing this up?"

Kuroro was a little taken aback. "I can handle things like eating by myself."

"No way! You don't seem to have a big appetite, and you're not very enthusiastic about eating. If I don't keep an eye on you, Uvogin and the others will definitely eat all the food, and what will you get to eat?"

Ayana didn't back down at all. She pressed down hard on Kuroro's shoulder and stared at him: "Listen to me, I'll make sure you eat from now on!"

Kuroro opened his mouth, but didn't refuse. He grinned, his expression seemingly one of gratitude, but something felt off: "Okay, thank you, Ayana, you're so thoughtful."

“But Ayana, aren’t you treating me like a child? We’re about the same age, aren’t we? Why are you acting like my elder?”

The boy blinked twice, a hint of sadness in his eyes: "You're always the one taking care of me, but I don't have much of a chance to care about you. I don't think that's right."

"What's wrong with that?" Ayana didn't understand. "Isn't it good that someone cares about you?"

“That’s not what I meant… I’m happy that Ayana cares about me.” Kuroro paused for a moment, then smiled again. “It’s okay, just pretend I didn’t say anything.”

“I’m already so happy that Ayana is in my life and cares about me so much. You’re like an angel to me.” Kuroro said, looking at Ayana with genuine affection.

The boy's voice suddenly lowered for some reason, so low that it was like the buzzing of a mosquito. You could only vaguely tell that he was speaking, but you couldn't make out what he was saying.

"Angel or something... no way, I'm not that good." Ayana scratched her head sheepishly, then asked, "What did you say at the end? I didn't hear you clearly."

"It's nothing." Kuroro shook his head.

He helped Ayana to her feet: "Ayana, you're not feeling well, are you? Let me help you to the washroom."

"I got the question out."

Feitan looked somewhat irritated. He glanced at Uvogin sitting on the other side, his voice tinged with anger: "Uvogin, you'd better fix my door by today."

"Oh, is it really worth making such a fuss over a broken door?!" Uvogin said nonchalantly, stuffing food into his mouth. "Fine, you can stay in my room!"

"I'm not staying in your room." Feitan was already on the verge of exploding with rage; he practically gritted his teeth as he spoke. "Besides, didn't you already smash the door to your room? What's the difference between me staying in your room and me staying in my own?"

"Huh? That seems to be true!" Uvogin seemed to suddenly realize something, and he grinned again. "Well, since that's the case, don't worry about it so much. Actually, it doesn't matter whether there's a door or not. A door is just a decoration. Don't worry about these details!"

"This is a detail? Uvogin, I'll tolerate it..."

"Okay, stop."

Just as the conflict was about to escalate, Ayana spoke up in time.

She had anticipated this situation, and although it pained her, she still reluctantly promised, "Feitan, I'll figure out how to close the door to your room. Let's get down to business first, what did you find out?"

Feitan's anger was somewhat suppressed.

He glanced sideways at Uvogin, snorted coldly, and began to get down to business: "That group's goal is our 'organs,' and to satisfy some perverse desires they can't find outside."

"Meteor City is a lawless place. The residents here, especially the children, are not protected at all. You can do anything to them and they will not be punished. In any case, weak children have no ability to retaliate."

His voice suddenly turned cold: "The children they target and take away have almost no chance of survival. They will all die in an extremely tragic way, leaving no trace of their bodies."

“These people are an organization with a large number of members and a deeper foundation than we thought. Dealing with them will not be easy.”

He looked up at Ayana: "This means that our next operation is extremely dangerous. Each of us could die, and in ways far beyond your worst imagination. We might even be repeatedly tortured, unable to die."

Feitan paused for a moment before finally revealing the key information: "According to his confession, there is a leader known as 'The Doctor' who oversees organ harvesting at one of Meteor City's outposts. Every three days, they transport organs from the outskirts of Meteor City."
