"Do you know why I brought you here?" Jian Jun asked meaningfully, his eyes deep and unfathomable, as if he could see through the heavens.
No one answered; they slowly stood up, waiting for Jianjun's reply.
"Haha, how do you all feel about your cultivation journey so far? Is your cultivation path in line with your expectations?" Jian Jun asked suddenly, looking at everyone.
"Uh, that's good," the chubby boy said without thinking.
Fei Rong and Qian Yu nodded as well.
Lu Cheng, Peng Fei, and Sui Xin remained silent, seemingly deep in thought.
Jian Jun looked at Lu Cheng and slowly said, "Young friend, you are from one of the Ten Royal Clans, aren't you?"
"Mm," Lu Cheng nodded.
"Aren't the Ten Royal Clans good enough? If you want to go to the Xuanyu Sect or come to the Sword Sect, your family shouldn't be much worse than the Xuanyu Sect, and your cultivation methods should be more suitable for you, right?" Jian Jun asked with interest.
Hearing Jian Jun's words, Lu Cheng, unusually, showed a hint of helplessness on his face and sighed, "It's a good place there. I have no worries about food and clothing, and I'm surrounded by wealth and glory. Because of my status as a young master of the clan, everyone tries their best to please me, even if I look indifferent."
In my eyes, they seem to only know how to smile. Even when I make mistakes, my parents can't bear to scold me. But the more they act like this, the less I feel anything.
From birth, I have appeared cold and indifferent, but I know that my heart is not like that. I also feel sadness and sorrow, and I also have emotions, but I can hardly express them through facial expressions.
I wanted to break the so-called curse and escape this cage, so I asked my parents about going out to cultivate, and that's how I ended up at the Xuanyu Sect.
"But I still don't seem to have found the answer," Lu Cheng said, shaking his head and glancing to the side. "It's a bit ridiculous, sometimes I feel like I've grasped a sliver of inspiration, but then I let it drift away. As for cultivation, it's going smoothly, without any major problems."
Everyone listened quietly without disturbing the conversation.
It's unexpected that Lu Cheng, who is usually very quiet, would reveal this side of himself.
Being born expressionless must be a truly unpleasant curse. After all, the best way for a person to express their emotions is through facial expressions, which explains why Lu Cheng is usually quiet and rarely talks about his family.
"Old Lu, we're still here, aren't we? We'll help you too, and the answer will come eventually," the chubby boy said with a smile, his right hand on Lu Cheng's shoulder.
Lu Cheng's eyes lit up, and he looked up at everyone. "Yes, I originally thought I wouldn't fit in with everyone, but in the end I realized that it was with everyone's company that I was able to come this far."
"We're all family, don't be shy," Peng Fei said with a smile.
The others nodded in agreement.
Jianjun, standing to the side, looked at the group and smiled gently, "It seems you have a deep bond."
"That's right, we're sworn brothers and sisters," the chubby boy laughed.
Jian Jun nodded, then looked at Peng Fei and asked, "Young friend, what do you think of the cultivation?"
"It's really great. Originally, like Lao Lu, I couldn't let go of the past. But looking back, I realized that I no longer need to care about what others think. I also believe that one day, I will reach the summit, higher than the sun, moon and stars, standing in the heavens above, looking down on all the mountains below."
Peng Feiping spoke calmly, but the hint of domineering power in his words was unmistakable, which even surprised Jian Jun.
Judging from his usual performance, Peng Fei's talent is not exceptional, but what is most admirable is his belief in being a strong person.
"Well said!" Jianjun exclaimed, his heart filled with emotion.
As Peng Fei spoke, he couldn't help but think of the woman he had met in the Divine Realm. Even though they had only met once, she was still etched in his mind and couldn't be forgotten. She was also his goal.
"Old Peng, not bad at all. I didn't expect you to be so eloquent," Fei Rong said with a smile.
She and Peng Fei hadn't known each other for very long; they had only been cultivating together for the past few months.
"Oh dear, after spending so much time with the chubby boy, I've inevitably become a bit arrogant," Peng Fei said, looking at the chubby boy somewhat embarrassed.
"Hey, hey, Lao Peng didn't say that," the chubby boy quickly retorted.
This caused everyone to burst into laughter, lightening the atmosphere considerably.
Young people are always like that; once they start talking, they can talk endlessly about the topic.
The weather was lovely today. A gentle spring breeze blew past, ruffling our clothes and scattering leaves, highlighting our figures. The warm sun shone brightly through the treetops, casting golden light upon us, as if our own radiance was reflecting the sun's brilliance.
It took everyone a while to realize that Jianjun was still standing beside them.
Jian Jun remained silent until they stopped, then looked meaningfully at Sui Xin and Xi Yun, "What are you two young friends cultivating for? Has your journey been smooth?"
Sui Xin and Xi Yun, still holding hands, looked at each other and said almost simultaneously, "For him (her)."
They were both taken aback for a moment, then smiled calmly.
Sui Xin continued, "At first, I started cultivating just for fun. But later, I realized that there are some people I need to protect with my heart and with my strength."
Xi Yun nodded, saying exactly what she wanted to say.
"As for whether it went smoothly or not..." Sui Xin glanced at Xi Yun, unsure whether it could be considered smooth.
In terms of cultivation and strength, things went very smoothly. He was saved by the Heavenly Fate Pearl after his near-death experience, and through this misfortune, he learned the Origin Scripture, which raised his level of life. He then went to the Divine Realm, met Elder Long, and had all the cultivation techniques he could want.
But the process in between didn't seem to go smoothly. He almost died. Xi Yun first lost her memory, and now she's in this state because of him.
