Sui Xin was taken aback, stopped in her tracks, and asked, "Who are you?"
A flash of light appeared, and a young man with a gentle and refined appearance appeared before them. He said, "I am the spirit of the Heavenly Ladder, named Tongtian. Young brother, could you please not come here again?"
"Why?" he asked casually.
“The place you are in now is my origin. It has been a long time since anyone came here. It seems like the last time was thousands of years ago,” Tongtian said. “The spiritual energy you absorb here is all my purest primordial spiritual energy, which is related to my cultivation. I can’t let you absorb it anymore.”
"Besides the original source, what you destroyed was my original body. You have no idea how much pain it caused, it was absolutely excruciating," Tongtian said, his eyes welling up with tears.
Tongtian grabbed Suixin's hand and said with deep affection, "My good brother, please don't come again, okay?"
Sui Xin got goosebumps all over, her face full of disgust, and broke free from his hand. "Did you bring me here?"
"Yes, that feeling was so painful, I couldn't stand it, but who knew that you would start absorbing my essence as soon as you arrived," Tian Tong said pitifully, his tone full of grievance, and then grabbed Sui Xin's hand.
"Hey, stop grabbing me," Sui Xin said, shaking off him with disdain. "Then why can I crush your original form?"
This is also the biggest question I've had along the way: my situation is completely different from what Elder Jian described, and the so-called pressure seems like a trivial matter.
"Hehe, that's because you have extraordinary talent, unparalleled in heaven and earth, the best in history, super invincible and awesome, worthy of being my good brother," Tian Tong said with a fawning expression, and even tried to grab Sui Xin, but fortunately Sui Xin dodged it.
Sui Xin's face darkened. Although he was praising himself, she didn't appreciate it at all. "Speak properly and tell me the reason."
Tian Tong looked puzzled, then became more serious and said, "That's the reason. You are the most talented person I have ever met. Even that person from thousands of years ago couldn't compare to you."
That's why I can't measure your potential, so the pressure you face will never reach your limit.
"Really?" he asked casually, clearly not entirely convinced.
“Of course it’s true. Don’t believe me? How about I take you to the top of the mountain to see?” Tongtian asked, adding, “The pressure is greatest there.”
"You won't hurt me, will you?" Sui Xin asked cautiously.
Having only met briefly, I couldn't help but become a little wary.
Tongtian was taken aback and retorted, "How could I harm you? If I had that ability, you would be dead by now."
On a whim, he realized that made sense; otherwise, there would be no need for him to waste time with him. "Okay, take me to see him."
“No problem,” Tiantong responded.
After saying that, he disappeared from the spot with Suixin, and when he reappeared, he had already arrived at the top of the mountain.
As soon as he looked out, he was stunned by the scene before him. His eyes shone brightly, and he showed an expression of disbelief.
What a beautiful sight it was!
It was as if we were in the heavens, with the stars and moon hanging not far away, much larger than we usually see; countless fluorescent lights floated in the air, like fireflies constantly dancing.
Although it was night, it didn't feel gloomy at all; instead, it had a unique sense of mystery under the light.
The ground was covered in soft, green grass, which felt very comfortable to walk on.
Sui Xin was still immersed in the beautiful scenery. Unlike inside the Heavenly Destiny Pearl, the scenery here was more natural, vibrant, and refreshing.
I never imagined there could be such a beautiful scene in the world. I just don't know if it's an illusion or the real world.
Suddenly, Sui Xin thought of Xi Yun and wanted to share this beautiful scenery with her.
"Hey, hey, big brother, stop inhaling!" Tongtian kept tugging at Suixin from the side, and it took a while for him to come back to his senses.
Sui Xin was stunned. He didn't know when his cultivation had broken through to the third level of True Essence, and a vast amount of spiritual energy was still surging into his Qi Sea.
Looking at Tiantong next to him, he saw a distressed and dejected expression.
Seeing this, Sui Xin felt a little embarrassed, stopped absorbing spiritual energy, and changed the subject, "Ahem, where is this? This doesn't look like the mountaintop that the other person came to."
"Sigh, everyone's reach is different. This is the highest place my true form can reach," Tong Tiansheng explained with a look of despair. If he weren't afraid that Tong Tiansheng would take more of the drug, he wouldn't have given him such a pleasant look.
"Is this the real world or an illusion?" Sui Xin continued to ask.
“Reality is this: the sky is 500,000 meters high,” Tongtian said. “I originally thought that no one would ever come here, but I never expected to run into one today.”
Suddenly it dawned on me: it's so high up, no wonder the stars and moon are so clearly visible.
"Is this also your true form?" Sui Xin asked.
“Yeah, so what?” Tian Tong said nonchalantly, adding, “This is my last physical form, just in case.”
"Oh, I see."
Sui Xin then asked, "Can I bring one more person up?"
"What? You want to bring more people up? Bringing just one of you is already a good thing, I can't handle too many," Tian Tong said.
"Hey, just one, is that alright?" Sui Xin laughed, putting his left hand on Tian Tong's shoulder. "We're brothers, just one."
"Alright, alright, I'm unlucky to have met you," Tian Tong said. "But you'll have to pick him up yourself. I'll come back to pick you up when you reach a certain height."
"No problem, thank you very much," Sui Xin said with a smile, expressing her heartfelt gratitude. "Please take me downstairs."
Tian Tong didn't say a word, but with a gentle wave of his hand, he returned to his original position. "I released my spiritual energy, and you trampled me again."
