Chapter 140 Team Members

Gradually, perhaps due to sleepiness, or perhaps because of each other, the two fell asleep.

...

...

After an unknown amount of time, the moon began to set in the west.

Sui Xin was suddenly startled awake, her forehead still covered in beads of sweat.

What happened? He didn't know.

The only thing I can see now is that the room is filled with golden light shooting from my eyes, flickering and eerily bright.

Xi Yun woke up immediately, a bad feeling creeping into her heart. Her voice trembled as she said, "Could it be a nightmare?"

Sui Xin had told her everything about the Eye of Destiny, and she also knew about the ability to predict the future through dreams. She couldn't help but worry about Sui Xin's nightmares, as they were never good things.

Sui Xin was also completely bewildered. He didn't know if he was dreaming or not, so he could only vaguely say, "I don't know either. I don't remember it. It shouldn't be a dream. Don't worry."

Xi Yun was silent for a while, then suddenly spoke, her tone resolute, "No, I'll come find you in twenty days at most."

"Huh? Yun..."

Just as Sui Xin was about to speak, Xi Yun immediately interrupted, "What 'ah'? I've already made up my mind."

This was quite imposing, and Sui Xin could only smile helplessly.

He didn't want to think too much about what had just happened. After what happened last time, he understood that the future was not fixed and anything could happen. Thinking too much was pointless, as long as it didn't involve Xiyun.

Before you knew it, it was dawn.

The two woke up one after the other and remained nestled together.

"Yun'er, let's go for a walk," Suixin said.

"good",

Not far away, on the edge of a cliff, Sui Xin and Xi Yun leaned against each other. This was where they had slept when they first arrived at the Sword Sect.

He didn't say a word and sat there for four hours without getting bored at all.

"Yun'er, I may have to leave soon," Suixin said, turning to look at Xiyun.

Xi Yun nodded and opened her arms, indicating that he should hug her again.

Sui Xin pulled Xi Yun into her arms and whispered, "You must take good care of yourself and wait for me to come back."

There was some worry in his tone. Even within the sect, Sui Xin couldn't guarantee that Xi Yun would be completely safe, given that there had been precedents.

"good".

"If you need anything, go to your master or Sword Master."

"Um"

"Don't get cold at night if you're alone."

"good"

...

They chattered on and on, but when it was time to leave, they realized that there was never enough to say, just like a stream of water, one gust after another.

"besides…".

"Don't say anymore. You must stay safe and sound and come back soon. I'll be waiting for you," Xi Yun interrupted Sui Xin, tears already silently streaming down her face.

"Mmm," he nodded casually, savoring her delicate fragrance one last time.

Ten minutes later, around noon, Sui Xin sighed, "Yun'er, I have to go. Elder Jian is still waiting for me."

Xi Yun consciously let go of Sui Xin, touched his cheek, and gently kissed him on the face. "I'll wait for you to come back."

He forced a smile and nodded emphatically, "Mm."

She stood up, took one last look, and resolutely flew away.

As soon as she left, Xi Yun could no longer hold back and began to sob softly, looking somewhat helpless.

The sun shines brightly, yet it seems somewhat harsh; the spring breeze gently caresses, but a faint chill is felt, all because the beloved is not here, and the one I love is gone.

Arriving at Jianjun's bamboo house, Sui Xin calmed himself down and knocked on the bamboo door, "Senior, I've arrived."

“Suixin’s here. It’s getting late. Let’s talk as we walk,” Jianjun said, as he summoned his flying sword and pulled Suixin away into the distance.

"Haha, did you manage to win over Xiyun?" Jianjun teased.

"You flatter me, senior," Sui Xin said with a smile.

Then he asked, "Could you do me a small favor, senior?"

"You said that as long as I can help you, it's not a problem."

"If I haven't returned in twenty days, and Xiyun asks you where I went, could you please not tell her?" Suixin said. This was also his biggest worry, and he felt uneasy if he didn't handle it well.

"Huh? What should I say if she asks?" Jianjun asked instinctively.

Sui Xin stroked his chin, thought for a moment, and then said, "Then could you please point her to a safe place? I'll come back and find her later, is that alright?"

"Haha, alright, alright, just don't blame me if Xiyun gets angry," Jianjun laughed.

"That's natural."

"Oh, by the way, senior, what is this training?" Sui Xin asked, puzzled.

"It's a secret realm a thousand miles south of the Sword Sect," Jian Jun said. "It was just discovered last month. Most sects have already sent people to explore it, so it's perfect for you True Essence Realm disciples."

"But you still have to be careful. There is no absolute safety in the world. After all, a secret realm is a secret realm, and accidents can happen from time to time. Remember to prioritize safety," Jianjun advised.

"Yes, thank you very much, senior."

"I've also arranged the disciples who will be with you this time. There are three of them in total, all of whom are at the sixth level of True Essence. They are among the top disciples in our sect," Jian Jun continued.

He valued Suixin's safety highly, not only because he was an exchange disciple of the Xuanyu Sect, but more importantly because he thought highly of Suixin and had a good impression of him.

Of course, he also highly valued the most outstanding disciples of the Sword Sect. Although Sui Xin's strength was only at the third level, he was not inferior to them.

His only worry was that the Sword Sect disciples were all incredibly arrogant, and he didn't know if he could get along with them.
