I still can't use the spiritual energy in my body, and I can't open the Eye of Destiny either. It's as if my whole body is sealed off.
He walked forward cautiously, his eyes darting around frantically, as if afraid some monster might suddenly rush out.
After walking more than ten meters, I suddenly felt a chill on my back, as if someone had poked me in the back.
He was a little scared. When he was little, he told Xiyun that he was afraid of ghosts, and he wasn't just saying it; he was genuinely afraid of ghosts and monsters.
He didn't feel this way when Xi Yun was with him, but now that he was alone, he panicked and broke out in a cold sweat.
He only realized now that having Xiyun by his side made him feel so safe, and he was terrified.
"I didn't feel anything," Sui Xin comforted herself, forcing herself to keep walking forward, her heart pounding in her chest. "Yes, I didn't feel anything."
After taking a few steps, he was suddenly poked again, and Sui Xin trembled all over, his face turning pale.
"Junior Brother Ye?" a female voice called out, cold and aloof, just like the voice of the female ghost that Sui Xinxiang had imagined.
"Ah, a ghost!" Sui Xin cried out in fright and quickly ran a few steps away.
Turning around, she realized it was Xiao Xue. Calming herself down, she complained, "Senior Sister Xiao, why do you walk so silently? Don't scare me, okay?"
It's not that Senior Sister Xiao walks silently; it's just that Sui Xin was too nervous and didn't notice someone coming from behind.
"Pfft," Senior Sister Xiao was also amused by Sui Xin's appearance and coughed lightly, "I am Xiao Yu."
"Huh? Xiao Yu?" Sui Xin was taken aback. The person in front of her was actually another Senior Sister Xiao. They looked so alike, but upon closer inspection, there seemed to be some subtle differences between the two.
"Master Xiao, Senior Sister, why are you here too?" Sui Xin asked.
After thinking about it, I realized that it was necessary to separate Xiao Xue and Xiao Yu, otherwise they would get mixed up in the future.
Let's call her Senior Sister Xiao and Senior Sister.
"I don't know either. I was enveloped by a black aura and lost consciousness. When I woke up, I was here," Xiao Yu said, regaining her usual calm demeanor.
"Oh, I see." "Does Senior Sister know what that black mist is?"
"Demonic energy".
"Does Senior Sister still have that black energy inside her?"
"No, it just brought me in, I didn't feel anything else."
Sui Xin was taken aback. "You don't feel anything? You can still use your cultivation level?"
"Hmm, what's wrong?"
With a wry smile, he said, "I can't use it anymore."
Was it because it absorbed the spiritual energy from the coffin? Or is it because of the large mass of demonic energy still inside its body?
That's right, it's demonic energy. Apart from the aura being slightly different from that of the demons before, there's basically no difference.
What's even more frustrating is that the original wisp of demonic energy seems to have found nourishment, absorbing some of the black energy, and has now grown much larger, about the size of a heart.
"It's alright, I'll go ahead and protect you," Xiao Yu said lightly.
"Well, thank you very much then," Sui Xin said, glancing at Xiao Yu.
The people of the Sword Sect are really nice, much better than I expected, completely unlike the rumors that they are cold and unapproachable.
And so, Xiao Yu walked ahead, while Sui Xin followed behind.
As they walked to the edge of the large central pool, the abundant spiritual energy nourished their bodies, much like the pure spiritual energy on the coffin lid.
Before Sui Xin could stop her, Xiao Yu had already absorbed a lot of it. She could only hope that nothing bad would happen.
"Senior sister, are you alright?" Sui Xin asked cautiously, somewhat embarrassed. "I absorbed this spiritual energy before coming in, and I forgot to remind you."
Xiao Yu was taken aback, and after a while looked at Sui Xin, "It's unusable."
Sui Xin could only manage a dry laugh, unsure of what to say.
My curiosity grew even stronger. It was definitely spiritual energy, but spiritual energy didn't look like this. It was intriguing.
Looking into the pool, it was crystal clear and didn't look like an evil thing at all. Reaching out to scoop it up, I found it was slightly viscous like blood. It seeped into my body and still felt very comfortable.
"Why don't we go up and take a look?" After exploring the surroundings again and seeing that he hadn't found anything, Sui Xin looked up at the throne above and said to Xiao Yu.
Xiao Yu nodded; that was exactly what she was thinking.
After walking a distance, the two walked side by side up the stairs.
The thumping sound came from below and echoed inside the palace.
At first, I didn't feel anything, but the higher I went, the more intense my unease became.
The surrounding temperature dropped sharply. Sui Xin turned her head to look down and realized that she had somehow climbed so high that she could no longer see the ground she had just been standing on.
Looking further up, it was still very far.
I didn't feel this far just now down there, so how did it suddenly become like this?
Sui Xin couldn't help but worry, but now she could only move forward.
Inside the palace, whether due to excessive tension or isolation from the outside world, one could not even perceive the passage of time.
It was very quiet; apart from the sound of their footsteps, not a single word was spoken.
Looking up and estimating the length, Xiao Yu felt that they had probably covered half of it.
"Senior Sister, what happened between you and Senior Sister Xiao?" Sui Xin suddenly asked. "Of course, you can leave it at that if you don't want to talk about it."
Feeling the chill around her, Sui Xin didn't know why she was so afraid.
It seems like they're being a little too afraid.
If she doesn't say something soon, Sui Xin feels like she's about to suffocate.
"Me and her?" Xiao Yu murmured, slowing her pace.
After thinking about it, I decided to speak up.
"She and I are twin sisters. We used to live with our parents. But later, our parents separated because of some issues, and we were separated as well."
