Chapter 24 Death at Will?

The cultivators on the ground were caught off guard by the attack from the demons in the sky. Some cultivators were injured, and two disciples were killed.

"Your time to die has come," Nanshan sneered as he saw the other cultivators being held back, revealing his true spirit cultivation.

A hand transformed into a giant palm and slapped at Ye Suixin. The latter had no choice but to stand up and desperately resist, a trickle of blood flowing from the corner of his mouth, his legs trembling, making it difficult for him to even stand.

"Suixin, no!" Ye Xiyun, enduring the excruciating pain, sat up and called out to Ye Suixin.

She would rather get hurt herself than let Ye Suixin get hurt because of her.

Ye Suixin ignored him, gritted her teeth, and roared at Nanshan, "If you want to kill her, you'll have to get past me first."

"Hmph, you dead rat, I could wipe you out with a flick of my wrist."

He then increased his strength, forcing Ye Suixin to her knees. Ye Suixin coughed up another mouthful of blood, staining her clothes and the ground red.

Ye Suixin sneered and spoke with some difficulty, mocking, "That's it? You... you're not good enough either." Her voice was intermittent, and with each sentence, a lot of blood flowed from the corner of her mouth.

"Just hold on a little longer. As long as we can break through the blockade, there will still be a chance," Ye Suixin thought, deliberately provoking the other party.

Nanshan's face darkened, and he roared, "Fine, since you want to die, I'll send you to your death!" He clenched his large hand and grabbed Ye Suixin.

"Ahhh!" Ye Suixin felt as if her bones were being crushed, and her whole body was in excruciating pain, so she couldn't help but cry out.

Accompanying this were the cracking sounds of bones breaking and the sounds of fighting all around.

"Suixin, get out of the way! He's trying to grab me! Get away from me!" Ye Xiyun looked at the pained Suixin, tears streaming down her face.

Looking at the pained Ye Suixin, her heart ached.

Nanshan also heard Ye Xiyun's words, and reacted by transforming his other hand into a large hand to grab at Ye Xiyun.

"How dare you!" Ye Suixin glared angrily at Nanshan, trying to break free from the large hand.

Suddenly, like a clear spring gushing forth, a surge of power erupted from his dantian, and a faint flame slowly appeared on his body.

It is the true Phoenix Fire.

According to ancestral records, members of the Ye family have a very small chance of awakening when external factors threaten their lives or when their emotions fluctuate greatly.

However, the vast majority of the clansmen do not achieve this, not only because the moment of life and death is rare, but also because even in that moment, the chance of awakening is not high; generally, only two or three people in each generation can do it.

Ye Suixin did it, all to protect Xi Yun behind her.

Then, crimson flames erupted from his body, burning the illusory giant hand to ashes. He fell to the ground, and the flames gradually disappeared, receding into his dantian.

Nanshan clutched his hand and spat out a mouthful of blood. At that moment, the Emperor's voice came from his mind, "Quick, they can't hold on much longer."

Nanshan's face turned fierce. "Fine, fine, you forced me to this. Since you two are so close, I'll send you both to your deaths."

An even larger hand slammed down on the two of them, obscuring the sky and the sun above their heads.

A roar and a wail reached his ears, a huge palm wind howled overhead, a chill rose from his heart, an intuition of death.

It seemed there was no way to avoid it. Ye Suixin lay on the ground, looking helplessly at the hand about to strike. She still hadn't protected her well... and she couldn't look at Yun'er again...

Ye Suixin had no strength left and couldn't even turn her head.

As soon as I closed my eyes, it was as if I suddenly remembered something.

That bead I gave to Xiyun should be able to protect Yun'er, right...?

Behind her, Ye Xiyun looked at Ye Suixin in front of her and shed two lines of tears, completely ignoring the large hand that was about to fall, as if she had let go of her feelings.

That's fine.

If it weren't for him, I might not still be in that period of pain.

There doesn't seem to be anything to miss, except for the fact that I'm a little reluctant to leave my parents and master.

With him by my side, what fear is there of death...

In that instant, time seemed to slow down, but everything around seemed to be isolated; the wind could not be heard, nor could the sounds of battle be heard.

Without a doubt, the palm struck down, and Ye Suixin coughed up a mouthful of blood. Her head was driven into the ground, her body collapsed, and a fleeting glimmer of light appeared...

Ye Xiyun closed her eyes, but the excruciating pain she had imagined did not come. Instead, a tremendous force surged into her body from the top of her head and flowed through her limbs.

In an instant, her injuries were almost completely healed.

Ye Xiyun suddenly opened her eyes. What she saw was a broken hairpin floating in the air, with a small bead at the end that was gradually dimming, and Suixin lying motionless on the ground not far away.

Ye Xiyun, her hands trembling, stood up and slowly walked towards Suixin: "Suixin, don't scare me, Suixin? Suixin?"

As she walked, she couldn't help but burst into tears. She now understood why Sui Xin had given her a gift for no apparent reason; it turned out...

Nanshan, somewhat taken aback, said, "Why don't you go down and keep him company?" and launched another attack at Ye Xiyun.

Ye Xiyun was still looking at Sui Xin when she raised her hand to grab the large hand that was slapping her, and roared, "You killed Sui Xin, I'll make you pay with your life!"

Ye Xiyun's long hair danced in the wind, a faint aura spreading outwards. In an instant, all the surrounding spiritual energy was absorbed into her body. With a "crack," the barrier shattered, and she broke through the True Qi barrier, entering the True Spirit Realm.

Ye Suixin and Xi Yun crushed the giant hand that had materialized with a single, forceful movement. They then charged forward, smashing Nan Shan away with a single punch, followed by another that knocked him to the ground.

"I'll kill you to avenge Sui Xin!" he roared, while relentlessly pounding Nanshan's fists.

Nanshan had just used up too much spiritual energy and was now somewhat overdrawn; in addition, he had been burned by Suixin's fire and suffered some injuries, so he was completely unable to withstand the girl's heavy punch.
