Chapter 4 Junior Sister

Lin Miao smiled and looked at Sui Xin, "Little Sui Xin, what do you want to learn?"

"Ah... can I not study?" Sui Xin's voice grew softer and softer as she spoke. They were just having a nice chat, and suddenly she was saying she had to study.

Lin Ling tapped Sui Xin lightly and said irritably, "Of course, otherwise why would your parents send you here?"

"Why don't you learn alchemy? Our peak is famous for alchemy, though we have other skills too, but the teachers at Medicine Peak are generally more skilled in alchemy," Lin Miao added.

"Alright, I'll listen to my master," Suixin had no choice but to agree.

"You know about the cultivation realms, right? Before reaching the True Spirit Realm, you should first learn the theoretical knowledge."

"This is the 'Medicinal Herbs Classic,' which records millions of medicinal herbs from the celestial body. This is the 'Qi Circulation Method,' which records the structure of the human body and the methods and key points for absorbing spiritual energy." Lin Miao became more serious and handed the two books to Sui Xin.

"From now on, I'll teach you the Foundation Building method in the mornings, and then assign you some memorization tasks in the afternoons. You can leave after completing the tasks I give you; there's no rest time otherwise, so if you want to go out and have fun, you'd better put in the effort!"

"Also, I'll be here the next morning to check on the completion of the tasks. If you leave before you've finished, there will be a penalty. Don't worry, there won't be too many tasks, as long as you put your heart into it, you can definitely complete them." Lin Ling knew that being playful was fine, but serious matters couldn't be taken lightly.

He went on and on about the rules of Xiaoyao Peak, which Sui Xin found very boring, but she could only listen quietly.

It was almost noon.

"Come on, let's go eat first. I have a delicious lunch," Lin Miao said to Sui Xin with ill intent.

"Can I go back and eat with my parents?" Looking at Lin Ling, Sui Xin felt inexplicably scared.

"No, I've given you the best food, so don't be shy," she said, and then flew towards Little Medicine Peak with Suixin in her arms.

"Master, when will I be able to fly?" Sui Xin really likes the feeling of flying. He was a little scared when Ye Hao first took him, but now he feels very comfortable, like a bird soaring in the sky.

"It's still early. You know the cultivation realms, right? You need to be at least at the True Spirit Realm to fly."

"Oh," Sui Xin was a little disappointed, but it also strengthened her resolve to cultivate.

Suddenly, a bright light plummeted from the sky ahead, landing not far from the two of them. In an instant, the light shone brightly, and Lin Ling and Sui Xin could hardly open their eyes. The ground also shook violently.

Two breaths later, it gradually returned to calm.

"Master, what is that?" Sui Xin asked, puzzled.

"Let's go down and take a look," Lin Ling said. She didn't know either, but she thought it was probably a rare object that had fallen from the sky. Such things often happened in the cultivation world, but none were as dazzling as this.

Lin Ling, holding Sui Xin, slowly descended, gradually approaching the center of the light.

"It's actually a little girl?" Lin Ling was very surprised. Normally, how could a child suddenly appear out of nowhere?

In the center of the light was a little girl.

With light blue hair, long eyelashes, a delicate but slightly pale face, and a light-colored dress, she looked very cute.

The skirt was so long it didn't even reach her ankles. It was easy to tell that the skirt had probably been worn for a long time, as some parts had faded from wear. But even so, it couldn't hide the girl's delicate features. She was probably about a head and a half shorter than Sui Xin.

The girl wore a pair of worn-out shoes on her small feet, probably because her family was not well-off in the past.

"Wow, what an adorable little girl!" Sui Xin was also a bit stunned.

"Sir, why don't we take her home?"

He jumped down from Lin Ling's arms and looked at the little girl.

"Ninth Junior Sister, what happened?" Before Lin Ling could reply to Sui Xin, a male voice came from behind her.

The man then walked closer and saw the little girl.

"Fifth Senior Brother, how come a little girl fell from the sky?" Lin Miao asked, puzzled.

"This... I don't know either. Should we ask our senior brothers to come and take a look?" Fifth Senior Brother Qi Yuan had also witnessed the strange phenomenon and was puzzled.

"Okay, senior brother, please watch over the disciple for me while I go and invite Third Uncle." Lin Miao pushed Sui Xin to Qi Yuan's side.

"Uh, okay," Qi Yuan was a little surprised, wondering when his junior sister had taken on a disciple, but he didn't say anything more.

After Lin Ling left, Sui Xin gave Qi Yuan a slight bow and said, "Greetings, Fifth Martial Uncle."

"Hello, what's the child's name?"

My name is Ye Suixin.

After a brief exchange, there was a long silence. Sui Xin remained silent, and Qi Yuan didn't know what to say either.

Sui Xin's mind wasn't on Qi Yuan's side either. His eyes were fixed on the little girl lying on the ground. He wanted to go over and take a look, but he was afraid of what his master would say.

In the end, he couldn't resist moving a few steps closer to the little girl. Seeing that his master didn't say anything, he walked directly to the girl's side, squatted down, and looked at the little girl's cute face, unable to look away.

"So cute," she thought, pinching the little girl's cheek with amusement.

Qi Yuan wanted to stop her, fearing an accident, but seeing that Sui Xin had already gotten the hang of it, she didn't say anything more.

"Oh dear, I hope I haven't caught a cold," the girl suddenly thought to herself, her hands trembling slightly.

"It's so cold," he said, then touched the girl's hand and felt it was a little cold.

So she turned to Qi Yuan and asked, "Uncle-Master, do you have any extra clothes? She seems very cold."

Qi Yuan, who had been watching this side, heard Sui Xin's words and tossed her a coat.

He casually placed the coat on the ground, then picked up the little girl and wrapped her up in it.

Then, like a little adult, he picked up the little girl and stood there quietly without moving, as if afraid of disturbing her.

I wish I had a younger sister, so we could play together and blow up the latrine together. Playing alone is so boring!
