"Let's go and redeem the mission first," Sui Xin said, as it was getting close to noon and it wasn't very early.
"Um"
Outside the mission hall, there were many people coming and going. Sui Xin and his friends also went in and came to a mission settlement table.
"Hello, we're here to settle our quests," Sui Xin said, handing the quest card to an elder in front of her.
"Yes, bring out all the materials," the elder said.
"Hehe, Elder, this land might not be enough to accommodate you," the chubby boy laughed.
His eyes were full of pride, and his voice was several decibels louder.
"Huh? A lot?" the elder asked. The open space in front of them was quite large; they could definitely fit thirty or forty animals.
"Yes, there are seventy or eighty," the chubby boy said.
"Pfft!" Upon hearing the chubby boy's words, one of the disciples next to him couldn't sit still any longer.
He then mocked, "Do you think sword turtles are some kind of trash? Seventy or eighty of them? You're just showing off without knowing the situation."
"Are you sick? Did I talk to you? You're just barking like a dog. Besides, just because you can't do it doesn't mean we can't. That's ridiculous," the chubby boy retorted.
A number of disciples gathered around, all waiting to see a good show, but most of them thought the chubby boy was just bragging.
After all, seventy or eighty is a really huge number.
"Then show it to us!" the disciple shouted hastily, his face ashen.
"Alright, I'll broaden your horizons," the chubby boy said, and poured out the sword turtles, about a dozen of them.
"Hahaha, is that all?" The disciple laughed immediately, his eyes full of contempt, looking at the scattered sword turtles on the ground.
"Don't worry, we have more."
Sui Xin and the others also poured out the sword turtle. In an instant, the sword turtle's corpse piled up like a small mountain among them, barely enough to fit.
"Hahaha, how about it, are you still going to call me or not?" the chubby boy laughed, not taking his disciple seriously at all.
"Hmph," the disciple said, his face flushed, and quickly walked towards the door.
"There really are so many," the elder was also astonished by the number of sword turtles. It had been a long time since he had seen such a large workload completed in one go.
"Wow, that's a fortune!"
"It's only the first month, is it really necessary to be so curvy?"
A murmur of discussion arose from the crowd; some were surprised, others envious.
"Let me count it," the elder said, standing up as he counted the number.
"There are 84 in total, three points each, that's 42 credits per person," the elder said after counting, adding 42 points to each of the six people's scoreboards.
"Thank you, Elder."
Amidst the murmurs of the crowd, a few people emerged, each one beaming with pride, walking with an air of superiority, and appearing much more dignified.
After leaving the mission hall, the six of them went to the cafeteria for a meal, and then rested for a while by the cliff that Suixin and Xiyun had discovered.
The group lay under the shade of a tree, feeling the gentle breeze; it was incredibly comfortable.
"Fatty, what were those precautions the elder mentioned this morning about advancing to the True Essence Realm?" Sui Xin suddenly asked, not knowing why, but he seemed to be taking this matter very seriously for no reason.
"I only heard about that last year, Elder."
He said that there are three major hurdles in a cultivator's journey: the first is from True Spirit to True Essence, the second is from Earth Essence to Heaven Essence, and the third is from Profound Essence to Divine Essence, each one more difficult than the last.
"The hurdle we're facing right now is what we're going through. It's said that during the advancement process, you'll go through all your previous life's cultivation again, deepen the process, summarize your insights, and solidify your Dao heart."
Dao Xin, a term that seems lofty and profound, yet is invisible and intangible.
Very few people can truly see through it all.
"However, that's a bit of an exaggeration. This process varies from person to person, and it has nothing to do with talent. It depends on past experiences. In the history of the sect, there have been many disciples with exceptional talent who have perished. At best, they lost their cultivation; at worst, they died outright." The chubby boy recounted these stories one by one.
"Is it that serious?" Sui Xin couldn't help but feel worried. What she feared most was the phrase "it varies from person to person." Who knew if Yun'er or her friends would get into trouble?
"Actually, it's not too bad. For us, being relatively young, we can usually get through," Lu Cheng replied.
“Yes, the older you get, the more you experience, and the harder it is to get through,” Peng Fei said.
"Fatty, you should be breaking through soon, right?" Lu Cheng said.
"Yeah, I almost broke through to the next level at that cave entrance the day before yesterday, it really gave me a fright. The breakthrough should happen in the next few days."
"Are you ready? What do you need us to do?" Sui Xin asked.
"Hey, I've had a smooth journey so far, there's nothing to be afraid of, so don't worry about it," the chubby boy said nonchalantly.
"Alright then, you be careful too."
The chubby boy nodded and didn't say anything more.
The afternoon was a swordplay class. The two of them had practiced basic swordplay for about seven or eight days beforehand. Although they had to leave for a few days due to a mission, they had become quite proficient.
"Sui Xin, Xi Yun, demonstrate the basic sword techniques. I want to see how well you've practiced them," Guo Ling said, looking at the two people in front of her.
She always felt that the two of them were somewhat different, not in terms of strength, but in terms of intuition about swords.
Sure enough, watching the two wield their swords was a comfortable and pleasing sight. An invisible charm was contained within them, their free and easy movements were restrained, while Xi Yun's movements were sharp and outward.
This is also thanks to the baptism of sword intent in Sword Valley at that time, and the Soul-Separating Sword Intent that is still in Xi Yun's body now.
"I didn't expect you to improve so much," Guo Ling couldn't help but praise after the two finished their demonstration.
