Chapter 85 Heading to the Family Reunion

"The clothes fit perfectly; they suit you both very well," Junlan said, noticing how well the two of them looked.

"Hehe, Aunt Jun's clothes are still the best."

Junlan gently shook her head. Without a beautiful person, even the best clothes are just clothes.

The three of them then chatted for a while longer.

"The family gathering is about to start, let's go quickly," Junlan said.

The family gathering was held at the end of the street by a small river.

Changliu River.

It's not very big, only about four or five meters wide, but it has a long history, and many people come here by following the river.

Holding the event here is also a way to express our longing for our hometown through the Changliu River.

Upon arriving at the riverbank, a wooden flower shed comes into view, with twelve pillars standing around it and a row of parallel wooden beams on top, decorated with flowers and plants. A large lantern hangs from each of the four corners of the beams, and the "Fu" (福, meaning good fortune) character pasted on the door is particularly eye-catching.

The flower shed looks beautiful overall, complementing the surrounding snow; outside the shed there is a large bonfire, with sparks scattered everywhere, creating a unique aesthetic.

Upon entering the flower shed, it was brightly lit, measuring approximately thirty meters in length and width, and about eight meters in height.

Ten rows of six long benches were placed on the wooden floor, each bench accommodating two people; in the middle of the six rows of benches was a large table about three meters wide, on which were placed a lot of food and drinks.

Many people have already arrived, and most of the seats are occupied.

Normally, everyone is dressed sloppily because they have to work, but now they are all very energetic, clean and tidy.

There are no wealthy or powerful people here; most of the attendees are small street vendors. Even so, the event setup looks quite exquisite. It would be difficult to achieve such an effect without ten or twenty days of preparation, which shows how much importance everyone attaches to it.

The three entered the house, which was filled with laughter and lively chatter.

"Let's find a place to sit," Junlan said.

"Um"

The three of them chose a seat in the middle or back. Sui Xin and Xi Yun sat together, while Jun Lan sat on a stool to Xi Yun's left.

"Aunt Jun, what activities are planned for later?" Xi Yun asked.

Junlan smiled gently, "You'll find out soon enough."
