Chapter 43 Six Pieces
Shang Chen frowned: "I'll call Assistant Wu and have him send someone over."
Wenxi accompanied him to Jiangnan, and the trip was arranged entirely by Assistant Wu. Did Assistant Wu forget to put the pajamas away?
"Forget it, don't bother people so late at night."
Wenxi simply pulled a men's shirt out of the closet. "This shirt is made of pretty good material. It can be worn as pajamas."
Shang Chen's eyes flickered slightly when he saw the shirt in Wen Xi's hand.
“I’ve worn this before.”
"No wonder, the material is softer than the others."
Wenxi hesitated for three seconds, "Can I wear it?"
"certainly."
Wenxi took Shang Chen's shirt and went into the bathroom.
After Wenxi went into the bathroom, Shang Chen called Assistant Wu: "There are no women's pajamas in the villa."
Assistant Wu: "I'm sorry, Mr. Shang, it was my oversight. I'll have someone send it over immediately..."
"No."
Shang Chen glanced at the cosmetics laid out on the dressing table next to her.
Assistant Wu is always meticulous, even remembering to buy cosmetics, but forgot about pajamas?
"Let someone deliver it tomorrow."
"yes."
When Wenxi came out of the shower, Shang Chen had already finished showering and was sitting on the sofa looking at his computer.
Afraid of disturbing him, Wenxi quietly went around to the bedside and began applying body lotion.
The bracelet on her wrist reflected a soft glow in the light, making her fair skin appear even more striking.
Shang Chen shifted his gaze from the computer screen to her.
Wenxi leaned against the headboard, her slender legs slightly bent, their lines graceful, and her skin glowing white.
The black shirt draped over her body looked somewhat loose, highlighting Wenxi's slender frame.
A very alluring pose.
Yet her aloofness and serious demeanor made her seem unapproachable.
Shang Chen felt that Wen Xi was not only suitable for wearing bracelets, but also for wearing anklets.
He shut down his computer and stood up. "Would you like some red wine?"
Wenxi paused.
Was Shang Chen implying that she should do it?
Their first encounter was sparked by red wine, so much so that whenever Shang Chen mentions red wine, Wen Xi can hardly help but overthink things.
"We're going horseback riding tomorrow, so go to bed early tonight."
Shang Chen nodded slightly: "Okay."
Seeing Shang Chen turn off the light and lie down, Wen Xi also quickened her pace.
Just as she was about to turn off the lights and go to sleep, she suddenly remembered that she had put a case study book on Shang Chen's bedside table while packing her suitcase.
Wenxi glanced at the distance; she couldn't reach it with her hand.
She bent down, her knees reaching around Shang Chen's waist, to pick up the book.
Just as Shang Chen closed his eyes, he suddenly heard a noise beside him, and a faint fragrance wafted over.
He slowly opened his eyes and saw Wenxi's hand supporting him on the side, her dark hair half-down, her profile exquisite.
The oversized shirt tilted slightly, revealing her delicate collarbone and deep curves.
Shang Chen's breathing became slightly heavy. "What do you need?"
Wenxi turned her head, somewhat surprised, but mostly calm: "A book."
"I'll help you."
There was a hint of helplessness in Shang Chen's low voice.
As soon as Shang Chen finished speaking, Wen Xi's legs went weak and she sat on his waist.
Wen Xi was a little embarrassed: "...Unexpected."
This dramatic turn of events between her and Shang Shen was truly awkward, failing to spark any romantic feelings whatsoever.
Shang Chen didn't reach for the book, afraid she would fall, and instead reached out to support her waist.
The man's large hands were burning hot, as if they would scald Wenxi's skin through the thin shirt.
Wenxi had already nimbly taken the book over.
She was about to turn over and go back to her seat when Shang Chen pressed her down and kept her in place.
Wenxi met a pair of dark, unsettling eyes and fell silent.
Okay, there were still sparks.
There was a faint feeling of sparks flying everywhere.
Wenxi swallowed hard. "We're going horseback riding tomorrow."
"There probably weren't any family planning supplies prepared in the villa."
In the darkness, Shang Chen's voice was a little hoarse: "Assistant Wu should be ready."
Wenxi asked instinctively, "How many are in the pack?"
Shang Chen: "..."
Is this important?
Shang said in a muffled voice, "I don't know."
Wenxi thought for a moment, then bent down and opened the drawer to take a look.
She didn't even need to look for it; she just saw a few boxes at the very back of the drawer.
Pack of six.
Wenxi glanced at it, decisively closed the drawer, removed Shang Chen's hand, and turned over to lie down.
Go to sleep early, goodnight!
The entire process was carried out smoothly and without the slightest hesitation.
Shang Chen: "..."
Her attitude was too firm. Even if Shang Chen wasn't a person who valued desires, he would be too embarrassed to continue asking for more.
The next morning, when Wenxi opened her eyes, she saw Shang Chen coming out of the bathroom.
The man's hair was slightly damp, and he was neatly dressed.
Wenxi then remembered that she and Shang Chen had been married for two months.
She had never seen Shang Chen with his skin exposed during the day.
No matter when or where, this man always buttoned his clothes up tightly, covering himself completely.
Shang Chen was too gentle and upright, coupled with his full authority, giving off an aura of inviolability.
Wenxi: "Have you finished your run?"
Otherwise, why would I get up so early to take a shower?
Shang Chen casually made up an excuse: "I sweated a little."
Without thinking much, Wenxi lifted the covers and prepared to get out of bed.
As soon as the lid was lifted, two long, bare legs were revealed, their skin dazzlingly white.
Wenxi quickly pulled the blanket back up and silently pulled down the shirt that was piled around her waist.
Shang Shen was looking for a hair dryer when he saw this scene and silently looked away.
His shirt was too big; it really wasn't suitable for Wenxi to wear.
However, the pure black tone made Wenxi's skin appear even whiter than snow, creating a strong visual impact.
After breakfast, Shang Chen took Wenxi to the horse farm.
As soon as Wenxi came out after changing her clothes, Shang Chen led a horse to her with his men.
This horse is pure white, with smooth fur and strong limbs, and looks exceptionally beautiful.
Wenxi: "This horse is really nice, is it yours?"
People of Shang Chen's status often have social engagements involving horseback riding, and they usually keep their own horses at a horse farm.
Wenxi loved horseback riding when she was in college, so Wenzhou bought her a horse at a horse farm in Germany as a birthday present, and it's still being kept there.
Shang Chen emphasized, "It's your horse."
Wenxi was taken aback at first, then pleasantly surprised: "A gift from you?"
"I guess so."
Wenxi was quite knowledgeable; this horse had excellent bloodline and qualities, and its insurance was estimated to be worth several million, or even tens of millions.
Wenxi: "You and Mom are truly mother and son."
They all acted with great generosity.
Shang Chen: "Take this as a compliment."
Wenxi was in a good mood, and her happiness was straightforward and frank: "I'm just praising you, Mr. Shang, you don't need to question it."
After Wenxi finished speaking, she nimbly mounted her horse, her movements clean and stylish.
Shang Chen's outstretched hand froze in mid-air before he reluctantly withdrew it.
Wenxi: "I'll try riding around once first."
The horse began to trot lightly, its speed gradually increasing.
Wenxi's figure gradually walked away, but her posture was exceptionally graceful.
Shedding her cold and hard exterior, she was noticeably more at ease and composed on the racetrack.
When she returned from her rounds, Wenxi had a clear smile on her face. "I really like this gift. Thank you, President Shang."
Shang Chen's expression was serious and solemn: "...Don't call me President Shang."
Wenxi raised an eyebrow and reached out to pat the horse. "Then thank you, husband."
She sat high on horseback, her delicate and aloof eyes sparkling with a smile, like a morning breeze brushing against the heart, stirring up ripples.
Shang Chen's breath hitched slightly, but his expression remained calm: "We are husband and wife, there's no need for thanks."
This was the first time Wenxi had called him "husband" to his face.
