Chapter 1 A Hundred Miles of Wind Rises

Within the territory belonging to the demon realm, there is a territory called Thousand Absolute Mountain, where people are known as the White Clan Ancient Clan, mostly descended from white foxes.

The Bai ethnic group's Gu clan is led by a nine-tailed fox. Foxes with a cultivation of a thousand years can help people find their romantic destiny. At the same time, there are also rumors that this clan has guarded a divine artifact for generations, and whoever obtains this artifact will have eternal life...

Therefore, all realms spared no effort to slaughter the creatures of Thousand Absolute Mountain in order to seize this divine artifact, forcing the Gu clan to hand it over!

However, the divine artifact was not yet produced, and the Bai tribe was not yet destroyed. Only the Thousand Absolute Mountain lost its former prosperity, leaving only endless snow and desolation.

The frigid and desolate Thousand Absolute Mountain was deserted, and people gradually forgot about the legendary artifact.

However, it is unknown when it started, but flute music often came from within Thousand Absolutes Mountain, sometimes mournful and sometimes melodious, intermittent and leisurely.

If one were to investigate diligently, one would find a seven-foot-tall young man dressed in white atop Thousand Absolutes Mountain. He held a jade flute and gazed up at the sky, completely unaware of the biting cold wind.

His gaze was clear, as mysterious as the vastness of the stars, and his long silver hair cascaded down his shoulders, highlighting his stunningly beautiful yet devilish face.

She put away her jade flute, raised her palm, and let the snowflakes fall and melt into her hand. A hint of sadness appeared on her beautiful face as she sighed softly, "Even a thousand years of cultivation couldn't change the outcome of a city being burned in one night? So all life in the world is so fragile!"

With a slight frown, looking at the snow-capped Thousand Absolute Mountains and feeling the chilling wind, Gu Liyan sighed helplessly, "Bai Clan, when will I be able to restore its former glory on my own?"

Confusion, helplessness, and bewilderment made him feel inferior. Suddenly, he remembered that tall figure and couldn't help but mutter to himself, "If he hadn't left, Thousand Absolute Mountain would definitely not be in this state now..."

Thinking of this, he shook his head, realizing that person would probably never come back...

"If you can't do anything, just give up. Why be confused and conflicted?" The cold wind was biting, and the abrupt voice entered my ears.

Gu Liyan turned around, looking at the person who had suddenly appeared, somewhat surprised, and asked warily, "Who are you?"

The newcomer wore a dark purple robe, his eyes filled with a chilling intent, and he wore a dark green mask through which one could see his sinister green eyes...

"My name is Mo Han." Mo Han chuckled. "I've heard that there are immortals living in Thousand Absolutes Mountain, possessing great supernatural powers and able to predict marriage. I would like to ask if you could guide me to find the immortals' whereabouts?"

That smiling face had an indescribable eerie quality.

Upon hearing his voice, Gu Liyan felt a sense of familiarity, but couldn't recall where he had seen him before. He simply shook his head and said gently, "I have been here for many years, but I do not know that there are immortals on this mountain. Moreover, the wind and snow on Thousand Absolute Mountain are not something ordinary people can withstand. If you do not want to suffer from the cold, you should hurry down the mountain!"

Mo Han sneered with disdain, "Heh, I am not afraid of this little snowstorm, since I can talk to you without batting an eye. Please tell me the truth!"

Gu Liyan's gaze turned cold, and he retorted without any politeness, "Since you have the ability to come here, you have the ability to seek the answer yourself. Why ask me, an unknown junior? Besides, is this not your original intention?"

Mo Han narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at Gu Liyan, then smiled sinisterly and said, "Hehe, that's right. Since that's the case, then—I won't hesitate to offer my guidance!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Mo Han raised his sleeve, and a hidden weapon, sharp and merciless, shot towards Gu Liyan. The latter couldn't help but sneer, seemingly having anticipated this. He raised his jade flute to block in front of him, and with a clang, the hidden weapon embedded itself in the snow, its sharp edge gleaming.

Gu Liyan flashed and stood at a safe distance of a hundred meters from Mo Han. His gaze was stern as he looked at him coldly and said, "You bastard, you've come to Thousand Absolute Mountain to search for divine artifacts, haven't you? Are you a demon? Or which branch of the demon race?"

Mo Han smiled broadly, showing no disappointment at her earlier mishap. She simply looked at Gu Liyan with a grin and said, "Haha, don't you understand what kind of hidden weapon I threw?"

Gu Liyan frowned and looked at the dart on the ground. He froze on the spot after just one glance.

"Jiu Chen?! How is this possible?! You, how could you have the token of my Bai Clan Chief?!" Gu Liyan stared at Mo Han in astonishment.

This Nine Dust is a semi-divine artifact. There were originally two in the world. One of them was the clan leader's token passed down through generations of the Bai clan, while the other had been missing for many years.

"Hahahaha! Gu Liyan, you didn't expect this, did you? When you came out of seclusion, the Bai Clan was wiped out, and even the Bai Clan Chief's token fell into someone else's hands! However, I still have to praise you - I didn't expect that your cultivation level, which was only a thousand years in seclusion, would already be close to three thousand years. Indeed, his old man's vision was very sharp!" Mo Han laughed loudly, but his cold tone revealed resentment.

Gu Liyan's pupils contracted slightly. "You know me? You even know my martial uncle? Just who are you?"

"Heh, what? You haven't mastered the Nine Fate Illusion Technique of Yuan Yuan Jiu Chen, and you haven't even mastered the most basic Soul Painting Eye?" Mo Han sneered.

A sharp glint flashed in Gu Liyan's purple eyes. He had seen through Mo Han's soul. Mo Han couldn't help but tremble, gritting his teeth in disbelief, and asked, "You, who are you..."

"Heh, even the third level of the Soul Painting Eye is enough to see through my soul. You've already guessed it, haven't you?" Mo Han sneered as he reached out and removed his mask, revealing a cold and resolute face that exuded icy arrogance.

Looking at Gu Liyan's stunningly beautiful yet astonished face, he smiled wickedly, "Long time no see, my—junior brother!"

Gu Liyan's heart trembled violently. The person in front of her was the heir of the Bai clan, the traitor who revealed that the Bai clan possessed a divine artifact, and Gu Liyan's senior brother—Gu Changyuan!
