"There's no trace of him." Mo Chen sighed, unsure of what to do.
Mo Han sat on the tree, looking at the group who had come up empty-handed, and said, "It's a good thing there's no aura. Don't worry too much. He's actually very strong."
Mo Chen sighed repeatedly. Having fought against Mo Li before, how could he possibly trust Mo Han?
Hua Mulan looked at a winding mountain road in the distance and suddenly said, "He's on the other side of the mountain!"
Not only Mo Chen, but even Mo Han looked at Hua Mulan with surprise.
"I can feel it, he's there!" Mulan said firmly.
Wang Qiankun glanced at the winding mountain road and frowned. "We can't jump to conclusions. This road is not suitable for advancing."
Mulan stared intently at the road and said, "I'll go find him myself!"
Mo Chen frowned and said, "No, if anything happens to you, we won't be able to explain it to him!"
Hua Mulan turned her head, looking at them with a determined gaze. "Mo Li is not weak, and neither am I!"
Mo Han leaped down from the tree trunk. "In that case, I'll walk the mountain path with you. Mo Chen, you and General Wang continue on the main road. We can meet up again later."
Seeing that Mo Han had spoken, Mo Chen nodded in relief, "In that case, alright."
Without further ado, Mulan and Mo Chen split up to carry out their missions.
Mo Han walked ahead at a leisurely pace. After nearly an hour, Hua Mulan began to feel tired. Before she could speak, Mo Han said without turning his head, "If you don't quicken your pace, Mo Li might leave this mountain and go to the next one. Then, there will be more than just one mountain separating you!"
Upon hearing this, Mulan felt her strength surge and quickened her pace.
Sensing the persistent aura behind him, Mo Han smiled slightly: "Junior brother, the woman you like is just as persistent and stubborn as you!"
——
As dawn broke, Mo Li gathered some wild fruits from deep within the forest, intending to use them as food for the journey. However, upon returning, she discovered that Kong Le was nowhere to be found.
"Where are the people?" Gu Wenshu asked, not just him.
Mo Li didn't speak, but noticed a note under the tree she had leaned against last night. It clearly stated:
Life and death are predestined, and journeys have their paths; fallen leaves have no roots, and their fate is without end. Let not the departed become nothing but emptiness! Cherish!
"...There is a path to take...fate has no outcome..." Mo Li looked at the familiar handwriting on the note and couldn't help but smile, already thinking, "What a boring person!"
Above the void, a black figure suddenly appeared in the sky. Seeing Mo Li's nonchalant expression as he crumpled up the note, the figure became furious.
"That kid, I helped you gain enlightenment and he said I was being silly! Just wait till we get back, I'll teach him a lesson!"
"You, the dignified Lord of the Nine Springs Realm, are still arguing with a little brat. Don't you have any shame?"
Suddenly, a disdainful voice came from behind.
Yan Ligu turned to look at Gu Yan, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes. He then gave a slight bow and was about to say something when Gu Yan interrupted him, "Never mind, our statuses are different now. You should put away your old manners!"
Yan Ligu didn't say anything. The two silently looked at the world beneath their feet. Gu Yan spoke first, "This clash will usher in a golden age."
Yan Ligu nodded. "In this way, this world can advance a hundred years ahead of schedule."
Gu Yan sighed, "You shouldn't have let him come."
Yan Ligu shook his head. "This is fate's choice!"
As she spoke, her gaze fell upon Mulan, who was only half a hill away from Mo Li. Even though she was exhausted and her feet were blistered from the gravel, Mulan did not stop searching for Mo Li!
Gu Yan narrowed his eyes as he looked at Hua Mulan. "She's far from qualified to be his lover! At least in my opinion, she's not even as good as that girl Mu Qing!"
"This was Xiao Li's own choice..." Before Yan Ligu could finish speaking, Gu Yan sneered:
"I think I should teach them a lesson!"
Yan Ligu was stunned. Before he could react, Gu Yan suddenly rushed down from the clouds toward Mo Han and Hua Mulan, wanting to catch up and stop them, but he held back.
He sighed, then turned and left helplessly...
——
Mo Han's eyelids kept twitching. He suddenly had a bad feeling. Just as he was about to cast a divination, he suddenly felt a powerful aura coming from the sky, which made him feel a little breathless.
Subconsciously looking up, the enormous cloud shadow in the void suddenly transformed into the shadow of a nine-tailed fox.
Mo Han's expression suddenly changed. "Not good! Run!"
Before Mulan could react, she felt a blur before her eyes, and a cloud of mist enveloped her, carrying her into the sky.
The scene terrified Mulan, but she didn't scream in fear. A chill ran through her body as she forcefully suppressed her terror, gripping her spear tightly and plunging it into the clouds that bound her.
However, it was like pricking cotton! It had absolutely no effect!
Upon seeing Hua Mulan captured, Mo Han's expression changed drastically. "Damn it!"
Mo Han flipped his hand, and a jade flute appeared in his palm. "Chang Yi, go—"
The jade flute spun and shot towards Mulan, directly shattering the mist that had been holding her. Mulan immediately fell from the sky, and before Mo Han could react, the mist quickly gathered again and grabbed Mulan once more.
"Damn it!" Mo Han was at a loss.
Just then, a sudden gust of wind arose:
"The wind rises!"
Mo Han turned around, and there was Mo Chen!
The clouds were dispersed by the wind, and Mo Chen manipulated the wind to catch Hua Mulan safely. Seeing that Hua Mulan was safe and sound, Mo Chen and Mo Han both breathed a sigh of relief.
