Gu Liyan chuckled and flicked his hand casually. Something slid from his sleeve into his palm. He smiled and said to Wenhao, "My weapon was prepared long ago, you just didn't notice it."
Gu Liyan's dashing move drew cheers from the audience once again.

Hearing the cheers and encouragement for Gu Liyan, the literary man's face darkened. "Don't think that you'll have face when you lose just because you've won everyone's favor!"
Gu Liyan's gaze turned cold as he looked at Bai Chen, who was surrounded by black energy below the stage, and said coldly, "Loss? I have indeed lost before, but I cannot lose today!"
"Enough with the nonsense, let's get this!" The writer abruptly changed his tone and launched a surprise attack.

Wenhao snorted coldly and charged towards Gu Liyan without hesitation, aiming his sword straight at Gu Liyan's heart.
Gu Liyan showed no fear whatsoever. He simply raised the jade flute in his hand and held it to his heart, and the blade immediately made a crisp "clang" sound.
Wenhao was overjoyed at the thought that Gu Liyan's jade flute was damaged, but upon seeing Gu Liyan's calm and composed face, his joy froze. There, on his own sword, was a tiny nick!
Wenhao's pupils contracted, and he hastily retreated, carefully examining his sword blade. The obvious nick filled him with rage. He turned to Wenren and shouted, "Wenren! Are you trying to kill me?!"
