Mo Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing that Gu Liyan's eyebrows twitched slightly, indicating that he was about to wake up, he gently laid Gu Liyan down on the bed.
Mo Chen looked at Gu Liyan with a worried expression. "Gu Liyan, are you alright? Please, please don't get hurt. If you die, I can't live—"
Gu Liyan seemed to hear Mo Chen's voice, slowly opened her eyes, and vaguely saw Mo Chen, Jin Yi, and Wu Wenfeng in front of her, before her vision cleared:

Gu Liyan took a deep breath, her body trembling slightly.
Mo Chen felt a sharp pain in his chest and hurriedly grabbed Gu Liyan's collar. "Gu Liyan! Tell me, where are you hurt? Why are you still hurting me? It doesn't matter if you die, just don't let me die without knowing why!"
Gu Liyan, panting heavily, stared blankly at Mo Chen, gritted her teeth, and finally spoke, "Mo Chen—"

Mo Chen was startled. Suddenly, Gu Liyan spat out another mouthful of blood, staining the back of his hand red.
Jin Yi and Wu Wenfeng were immediately startled.
Suddenly, Mo Chen thought of something and directly reached out and tore Gu Liyan's robe to shreds, causing the three of them to gasp in shock.
Gu Liyan's body was covered in a dense network of wounds, the skin torn and flesh gaping open, yet no blood seeped out, though the wounds were so deep that bone was visible...
Mo Chen pursed his lips and pulled down Gu Liyan's pants as well, revealing them to be as tangled as a spider web—
Wu Wenfeng swallowed hard. "This, this must... hurt so much..."
Jin's eyes reddened slightly; he felt as if he were about to stop breathing.
Mo Chen gritted his teeth, took out the Nine Springs Token, pulled out a sword from it, and handed it to Wu Wenfeng, saying, "Go sell it and buy the best external wound medicine!"
Wu Wenfeng took the sword, glanced at it, and was stunned. "Brother, this is—this is…"
Mo Chen waved his hand and said seriously, "Don't ask any more questions, go and sell it!"
Wu Wenfeng gave Mo Chen a deep look, then glanced at Gu Liyan, gritted his teeth, turned around, and walked out the door.
Mo Chen looked at the already sleeping Gu Liyan and said, "I won't let you die..."
A short while later, Wu Wenfeng rushed back, bringing back bags of healing medicine, which he handed to Mo Chen. "The white packets are for external application, and the black ones are for internal use."
Mo Chen nodded and took the white bag. Just as he was about to give it to Gu Liyan, Jin Yi stopped him, saying, "Let me do it. Actually, my medical skills are better than my martial arts skills!"
Mo Chen glanced at Jin Yi, seeing sincerity in his eyes. Then, looking at Gu Liyan's unconscious state, Mo Chen smiled slightly and patted Jin Yi's shoulder. "It's up to you now!"
"Say it!" she said, pulling Wu Wenfeng along as they prepared to leave. "Let's go!"
Wu Wenfeng looked bewildered. "Huh? Going out so late? Where are you going?"
"I'll take you on a decadent adventure!"
"ha?"
The two jumped out of the window and left the room.
Jin Yi turned to look at Gu Liyan with a smile and said, "Gu Liyan... I want to see what you're really made of!"

Three days later
Gu Liyan finally fully woke up from the darkness. Although his wounds had not fully healed and the pain had not completely subsided, he couldn't wait any longer. He didn't want to lie in bed all day...
However, there is a very serious problem before that!
"Mo Chen!!! That old bastard! How could he, how could he be so rude as to tear my clothes to shreds!" Gu Liyan was furious.
If he was just going to take it off, that would be one thing, but why did he have to tear it to shreds?! This guy is really indecent!

Gu Liyan nodded. "Oh, those two went out..." Gu Liyan's eyes darted around. "Um, um, look, Mo Chen tore my clothes... Could you please find me a new one?"
Jin Yi glanced at Gu Liyan, who was completely covered up, and couldn't help but smile. "Lord Gu, you don't actually think that I, Jin Yi, am a man?"

Jin Yi smiled and said, "Then I must have misunderstood. I was planning to go back and confess to the person I like after the election! I don't want Gu Shengjun to laugh at me."
Upon hearing this, Gu Liyan's expression softened. "Oh, is that so? Then it's alright." With that, Gu Liyan pulled off the blanket, put on his underwear, and stood up.
Jin Yi immediately noticed the net-like wounds covering Gu Liyan's body, and felt a slight pang in her heart for no reason. Gu Liyan smiled and got off the bed, went to the table, and poured a cup of tea. "I've encountered families where women can marry before, but now I've actually encountered families where men can marry men. I'm really shocked by the world's values regarding same-sex relationships!"
After taking a sip of water, Gu Liyan continued, "To be honest, I'm a little nervous about having such a handsome face. I have to worry about women and men too! It's exhausting! Oh, by the way, don't tell Mo Chen that I said these things, or he'll start saying I'm immature again."
