Mo Chen stared blankly at the mountain gate with the words "Sword Pavilion" written on it. The dilapidated building gave people a feeling that it was about to collapse in the cold wind.
He subconsciously swallowed, then spoke to Yin Yang and Xuan Qing'er beside him:
"This, this is the Sword Pavilion you belong to?"
Yin Yang looked up at the broken sword stuck in the pavilion, rubbed his nose, and nodded somewhat awkwardly, saying:
"Well, it is a bit dilapidated, but it is indeed Sword Pavilion..."
Mo Chen's lips twitched involuntarily, and he thought to himself:
"This isn't just a little dilapidated, it's practically a beggar's camp!"
Seeing Mo Chen's expression, Xuan Qing'er immediately covered her mouth and chuckled:
"Actually, it was Yin Yang who taught the Sword Pavilion's law enforcement elders a lesson. The two fought for three days and three nights, leaving the Sword Pavilion in this state!"
Upon hearing this, Mo Chen looked at Yin Yang with surprise, "Three days and three nights?! You certainly have boundless energy!"
This guy's reputation as a killing god is no less than it used to be!
Yin Yang listened to Xuan Qing'er's words, his old face turned red and he explained to Mo Chen, "Don't listen to Qing'er's nonsense. When I was on duty for Qing'er, I accidentally burned down his residence. That guy insisted on punishing Qing'er. I was so angry that I drew my sword and chased him for more than twenty streets. The power of the last sword was just a little too much!"
Xuan Qing'er covered her mouth and chuckled, "Yes, she even shaved off the Sword Elder's head! Ever since she started practicing Yin and Yang, she's been the only female elder in our Sword Pavilion! She went straight from disciple to elder, something even I, her sister, never expected."
Looking at the dilapidated state, Mo Chen couldn't help but chuckle and click his tongue in amazement: "Tsk tsk tsk, the power of your sword strike is truly astounding!"
Yin Yang rolled his eyes. "I fought him for three days and three nights before I could even stretch my muscles, but who knew that old man was so useless..."
The words had barely left his mouth when a soft cough came from behind him. "Cough cough cough!"
Everyone turned to look and saw a bald, plump middle-aged man standing behind them, holding a basket of vegetables.
Upon seeing this person, Xuan Qing'er's expression immediately changed, and she hurriedly greeted him respectfully, "Greetings, Elder of Law Enforcement."
Mu Xiu gave a cold snort and said, "Since you're back, hurry up and go inside. What are you chatting about outside?"
Xuan Qing'er stuck out her tongue and tugged at Yin Yang's sleeve. Yin Yang turned his head and glared at Mu Xiu, who choked and dared not speak again.
However, when he caught a glimpse of Mo Chen out of the corner of his eye, his eyes lit up immediately. He hurriedly put away his vegetable basket and walked over, saying respectfully, "This must be the Chosen One, right? I am Mu Xiu, the Sword Elder of the Sword Pavilion. Please forgive me for not greeting you properly."
Mo Chen blinked and casually said, "My Heavenly Guardian is injured and needs treatment. I happened to run into my old friend Yin Yang and am planning to stay in Sword Pavilion for a few days. What do you think?"
“There’s no problem with Elder Yin Yang’s friends, let alone the Chosen One himself visiting my humble abode! Please come in, I’ll go and inform the Pavilion Master right away!” With that, Mu Xiu rushed into the pavilion like a gust of wind, shouting, “Pavilion Master! The money-giver has arrived!”
Mo Chen's lips twitched involuntarily. "Do you know how poor your Sword Pavilion is?"
Yin Yang shook his head with a wry smile. "What can we do? Most people in this world cultivate spiritual power, only a few cultivate their bodies, let alone come to the Sword Pavilion to learn swordsmanship."
Mo Chen gave Yin Yang a deep look. "Aren't you going to help?"
Hearing Mo Chen's words, Xuan Qing'er looked at Yin Yang strangely, thinking to herself, "Could it be that Yin Yang is a powerful figure who can change the fate of the Sword Pavilion?"
Yin Yang noticed Xuan Qing'er's gaze and deliberately changed the subject, saying, "Me? How could I possibly have that ability? Stop talking nonsense and hurry up and heal your friend!"
Mo Chen knew that Yin Yang had his reasons, so he stopped asking and simply nodded, saying, "Yes, you're right. Healing Jin Yi is the priority."
Yin Yang and Mo Chen headed towards the Sword Pavilion. Xuan Qing'er watched Yin Yang's retreating figure with some suspicion. "Why do I always feel that Yin Yang is deliberately hiding something from me? What is it that she refuses to tell me?"
Xuan Qing'er shook her head, intending to find an opportunity to ask Yin Yang.
...
At this time
A middle-aged man dressed in a blue robe sat upright before a Buddha statue, his face bearing the marks of time, gazing devoutly at the image, muttering incantations:
“My benefactor, it has been thirty years since you left. Ever since you told me that if I have Buddha in my heart, I will have the opportunity to become famous throughout the world, I have prayed to Buddha for countless days and nights for thirty years! But now I have not had a single opportunity to become famous throughout the world! Alas, times have changed. I am afraid that in a few more years, if my cultivation cannot keep up, I will not be able to lift this Heavenly Sword!”
The man's gaze fell upon the Buddha, where the golden Huangtian Sword sighed repeatedly.
Just then, Mu Xiu ran in, panting, "Sect Master! Sect Master...it's done!"
Pavilion Master Cui Ming spoke impatiently, "What's wrong now? I have no more funds for compensation!"
"No, no, it's, it's a good thing!"
Seeing Mu Xiu's excited expression, Cui Ming looked puzzled. "What good news is making you so excited? It's like someone can help us rebuild Sword Pavilion!"
At this point, Cui Ming looked distressed and began to speak to himself:
"I remember that Yin Yang kid said he would rebuild the Sword Pavilion for me within three years, but two years have passed and he still hasn't fulfilled his promise! As a result, none of the disciples who have come to join the Sword Pavilion in the past two years have any respect for us because of the state of the pavilion!"
"No, don't worry..." Mu Xiu coughed because of the smell of incense. "Cough cough, Sect Master, why are you praying to Buddha again? And burning so much incense, cough cough, I can't take it anymore, I'm a little short of breath, I'm going out to rest."
