Gu Liyan and An Qianbai stood at the door, and the people coming and going from the Wang family acted as if they didn't see them. An Qianbai looked at Gu Liyan with some confusion.
Gu Liyan explained in a low voice, "The new special function of the Nine Springs Token is that it can conceal one's form."
An Qianbai nodded in sudden realization.
Gu Liyan put on the mask and looked at the old man on the bed, thinking to himself, "It seems that the source of death mentioned in the mission is this. As for the source of life..."

Suddenly, a bell rang outside the door. Gu Liyan turned her head and looked in the direction of the sound. She saw a young man in a black trench coat walk in. When he met Gu Liyan's gaze, the young man seemed to be slightly taken aback. Lu Rui quickly concealed the surprise in his eyes and walked towards Lu Yunshan as if he hadn't seen him at all...
An Qianbai tugged at Gu Liyan's sleeve and pointed at Lu Rui. Gu Liyan frowned in understanding and looked at Lu Rui with some curiosity.
"Dad, Mom." Lu Rui greeted Lu Yunshan and Li Fengying as he approached them, then gently wiped away the tears on Li Fengying's face.
Li Fengying covered her mouth, trying not to cry out, and choked up, unable to speak.
"Good boy." Lu Yunshan nodded and said to Lu Rui.
Lu Rui's cold gaze swept over Li Fengxia, who was standing in the corner. The latter's expression changed slightly, and she hid in the corner, not daring to make a sound. It was clear that there was some unpleasantness between the two.
When Li Fengxia's sister-in-law saw Lu Rui arrive, she awkwardly said, "Well, I'll head back now..."
Lu Rui glanced at her and said calmly, "Auntie, don't wander around at night. It's not an easy road to walk at night."
Wang Ping looked embarrassed and didn't say anything, then slipped away as if her feet were greased.

Lu Rui knelt on the ground, took the old woman's hand, and gently said, "Grandma, Xiao Rui is here. No matter how much resentment you have in your heart, don't retaliate in this way. It's not good for you, or for the Wang family!"
Lu Rui released the old woman's hand and covered her eyes. "As the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. Grandma, if you don't want to have worries, some people are better left unseen!"
Gu Liyan, standing behind Lu Rui, looked at him in surprise, because he saw that Lu Rui made no move, and the old man slowly closed his eyes...
Lu Rui took a deep breath and stood up. "Mom and Dad, the air here isn't good. Let's go outside and wait for the geomancer."
Lu Yunshan nodded without hesitation, "Okay."
Lu Rui helped Li Fengying, who was crying and felt weak all over, out of the room.
Just as they reached the door, two people rushed in. It was Wang Dongchuan, the head of the Wang family, and his wife, Wang Xueting.
"Little brother, you've arrived." Wang Xueting spoke first.
Lu Rui nodded. "The air in the room isn't good. I'll take your aunt and uncle outside first."
Wang Xueting didn't say anything, but made way for him. Wang Dongchuan, who was beside her, was reeking of alcohol, but he was much more sober.
The air outside was a bit chilly, so Chen Rui took off his trench coat and draped it over his mother. "Dad, take care of Mom for a bit. I just saw two friends, I'm going to say hello."
Lu Yunshan looked at Lu Rui with some surprise. There was no one on the street at all, so how could he possibly meet a friend?
Although a little curious, she nodded and said, "I understand. Be careful."
Lu Rui nodded and walked towards Gu Liyan.
Gu Liyan noticed Lu Rui walking towards her and went over with An Qianbai.
Lu Rui bowed respectfully and said, "Greetings, gentlemen. I am Lu Rui from the Lu family."
Gu Liyan returned the greeting and introduced herself, saying, "Mo Li, this is Mo Wang."
Lu Rui nodded. "Have you two come from the netherworld?"
Gu Liyan looked at him with some surprise and nodded, "That's right."
“In that case, you two should stay at my Lu family’s residence. I will conceal your identities and help you complete your mission,” Lu Rui said.
Gu Liyan looked at Chen Rui with suspicion. "Who exactly are you? How do you know about the Nine Springs Realm?"
Lu Rui smiled slightly, "In every known world there is a host, and I, Chen Rui, am the host of this generation."
Gu Liyan was relieved. "Okay, I'll listen to you over there."
Chen Rui nodded, his gaze lingering slightly on An Qianbai before he paused for a moment. "This young lady..."
Seeing Chen Rui looking at her with surprise and joy in his eyes, An Qianbai became shy and hid behind Gu Liyan.

In the distance, a brand-new car stopped in front of the Wang family's house, and a family of three got out.
