With a splashing sound, Gu Liyan asked, somewhat puzzled, "Is it... raining?"
"No, it's a waterfall!"
"Who?!" Gu Liyan was startled by the sudden, aged voice and immediately asked.
"Shh, keep your voice down, don't wake my precious disciple!" the Scorpion said.
Gu Liyan looked around and, by the dim light, finally saw Hua Xiaoxiao lying next to him.
"Xiaoxiao!" Gu Liyan looked at Hua Xiaoxiao. Although she looked tired, she was not injured. Gu Liyan breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he had protected her and she was not hurt.
"Hmm..." A cold wind blew into the cave, and Hua Xiaoxiao shrank back, feeling a little cold.
Gu Liyan hurriedly took off his long robe and covered Hua Xiaoxiao with it.
"Seeing how much you care about her makes me feel relieved!" Scorpio said with a smile.
Gu Liyan then remembered that there was a third person here, and turned to look at the direction of the Demon Scorpion. "Who are you? How come you are Xiaoxiao's master?"

Gu Liyan looked at the Demon Scorpion warily, and finally saw the true face of the old man in front of him. His limbs were severed and his aura was chaotic. He looked just like an old man on his deathbed!
"Don't be nervous, I pose no threat to you!" the Scorpion said calmly.
Gu Liyan frowned as she looked at him, somewhat suspicious, "Are you a Scorpio?"
No one could have imagined that this dying old man would be the source of the disaster that the Nine Springs Order was hunting down and harming the region!
"Hehe, do you still think I would lie to you?" Scorpion chuckled, looking at Gu Liyan with great interest.
Gu Liyan looked at him, then at the sleeping Hua Xiaoxiao. "Are you her master?"
“That’s right!” The Scorpion squinted at Gu Liyan, then glanced at Hua Xiaoxiao and said, “She’s been busy gathering herbs for you all day and won’t wake up for the time being. You can kill me now without her knowing!”
"You knew I was going to kill you? Then... why did you save me?" Gu Liyan frowned, sensing that the poison in his body had been expelled, and had already guessed what was going on.
Scorpion chuckled and spoke without any politeness:
"Indeed, all foxes in this world are clever! And the reason I saved you is naturally to obtain your ability to heal my injuries!"
An endless cycle of life?!
Gu Liyan was shocked. The scorpion wanted the life force within his body!
