After saying that, Murong Xiaoxiao turned and ran away, but Mo Chen reacted quickly and grabbed her by the back of her collar, pulling her back.
Murong Xiaoxiao was dragged back by Mo Chen, and she looked at the three of them pitifully as she spoke:
"Heroes, I was just passing by and needed to use the restroom! I absolutely did not intentionally overhear you talking about the little fox! Please forgive me!"
Hearing this blatant attempt to cover up her misdeeds, Xiao Tao put her hands on her hips, raised her hand without saying a word, and used her supernatural powers to summon flower vines to bind Murong Xiaoxiao tightly.
"Tell me, how come you look so much like that dead transvestite at the city gate!" Xiao Tao interrogated her.
Murong Xiaoxiao's eyes darted around, and she immediately realized who the "dead transvestite" she was talking about was. She then said awkwardly, "Ahem, that's my sister, Murong Xiaoxiao!"
"Murong Xiaoxiao? Her name is Murong Xiaoxiao, so what's your name?" Mo Chen looked at Murong Xiaoxiao intently and asked with some curiosity.
"My name is Murong Xiaoxiao," Murong Xiaoxiao said.
"Alright, Murong Xiaoxiao, I'm asking you, why were you following us?" Mo Chen asked directly.
"I..." Murong Xiaoxiao was about to tell the truth when her eyes darted around and her tone changed, "I didn't follow you, I was just passing by!"
"Nonsense! As the young lady of the Murong family in Central City, you would follow a bunch of scoundrels like us?" Pang Zi immediately perked up and retorted, "You're clearly following us on purpose, searching for the whereabouts of our master!"
Hearing Pang Zi's words, Murong Xiaoxiao knew that her identity had been exposed and she could no longer hide it. She immediately said angrily, "Yes! I came to find Little Fox! But don't misunderstand, I'm not following you. Little Fox is nearby, and I found him on my own!"
Upon hearing her words, Mo Chen immediately asked nervously, "You came here yourself? How did you know he was here?"
"He took my compass, which bears my soul imprint. I can naturally find him using the compass's location!" Murong Xiaoxiao said, seeing the worried looks on everyone's faces. "You'd better release me quickly, or you'll delay his recovery. If he dies, my Murong family won't take the blame!"

"You can't kill her, we still need her to find your father!" Mo Chen said calmly.
Xiao Tao thought for a moment and decided that finding her father was more important. She withdrew her hand and said, "Okay, let's keep her until we find my father!"
Mo Chen turned his head and looked at Murong Xiaoxiao, speaking gently, "Help us find him, and then we'll release you!"
Murong Xiaoxiao dared not disobey and hurriedly nodded.
Pang Zi glanced at Murong Xiaoxiao and pouted, seemingly somewhat dissatisfied.

"You two know each other?" Mo Chen looked at Pang Zi with some surprise.
Murong Xiaoxiao: "I know her!"
Pang Zi: "I don't know him!"
Mo Chen looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression, then frowned and asked, "Tell me, what happened?"
“He’s my brother-in-law!” Murong Xiaoxiao ignored the look Pang Zi gave her and pointed at Pang Zi as she spoke.
"Shut up! You brat!" Pang Zi was startled and immediately scolded.
"Oh?" Mo Chen looked at Pang Zi with suspicion. "So you're the son-in-law of the Murong family, a clan of exorcists?"
Xiao Tao looked at Pang Zi with a wary expression.
Pang Zi said awkwardly, "It was an engagement made a long time ago, it's no longer valid!"
"Liar! You and my sister were so close! Even after your Pang family was wiped out and you became so depraved, my sister didn't despise you!" Murong Xiaoxiao said angrily. "It's all your fault for being irresponsible! You were afraid of bringing bad luck to my sister!"
"I--"
Pang Zi was speechless for a moment, not knowing what to say.
"So you're a jinx to wives?" Xiao Tao blinked her big eyes as she looked Pang Zi up and down.
Before Pang Zi could speak, Murong Xiaoxiao interjected, "That's not true! He first brings misfortune to his parents, then to his neighbors, and only then to his friends and wife!"
Xiao Tao looked at Pang Zi with a look of sudden realization, "So that's how it is!"
"Enough! Murong Xiaoxiao, you, you shut up! You're just a junior, don't spread rumors about me and your sister!" Pang Zi couldn't bear it any longer and pointed at Murong Xiaoxiao, scolding her. He could only admit that he knew Murong Xiaoxiao.
