Gu Liyan's ears twitched, confirming that the person's footsteps were heading this way. He quickly jumped off the table, his figure instantly transforming into human form. He approached the door and quietly peeked through a crack, only to see two guards walking towards him.

What came into view was a completely different scene. Duan Tianqi frowned slightly. It was indeed as the two guards had said. The tables and chairs here were dilapidated, and there was nothing presentable at all!
"That's strange. The outside of the door looks brand new, so how come the inside is a completely different world?" Duan Tianqi wondered.
"Huh?" Suddenly, the guard pointed at the chair with a surprised look. "This chair was just lying on the ground. How come it's been picked up now? Second brother, did you pick it up when you left?"
