Li Erniang hurried back to Weilong Kingdom, arriving drenched in sweat. She reached the East City military camp and sneered, "Finally got those two guys out of there. Now..."
Upon entering the military camp, no one stopped Li Erniang from entering; she went straight to push open Gu Liyan's door.
Hearing the door open, Li Jin thought Mo Han and the others had returned, and her heart tightened. But when she looked up, she saw Li Erniang covered in sweat and was somewhat surprised. "Erniang, why are you back? And those two gentlemen..."
“They haven’t come back. Now you and I, along with Gu Liyan, must leave immediately!” Li Erniang said urgently.
“What? But…” Li Jin glanced at Gu Liyan and became worried. “What if those two adults find out?”
"They won't be coming back for now!" Li Erniang said as she went to Gu Liyan's side to take his pulse. "That's great! His injuries have improved, and he should be able to recover by tomorrow. It seems that my sister was right; Gu Liyan really is that person!"
Li Jin didn't understand Li Erniang's meaning, and considering Li Erniang's mysterious nature, she didn't press the matter further.
"Alright, let's not waste any more time. It would be terrible if others found out." Li Erniang said hurriedly, and stepped forward to carry Gu Liyan on her back.
But just as she touched Gu Liyan, Gu Liyan suddenly asked, "Where are you taking me?"
"Wow! You...you...you woke up without saying a word!" Li Erniang was startled.
Gu Liyan took a deep breath and said helplessly, "Your voice is so loud, and you even said you wanted to secretly take me away. Of course, I need to hear your plans more."
Li Erniang said irritably, "Didn't I tell you before that I'd ask you to do me a small favor after I cured you?"
“But I’m not better yet. My back aches, my legs cramp, how can I be considered better?” Gu Liyan said.
"Huh? Don't think I don't know! The life-and-death contract in your body has been restored, how could you still have backaches, leg cramps!" Li Erniang blurted out.
"Oh! So you know about the life-and-death contract." Gu Liyan said with a smile.
Li Erniang was taken aback, realizing she had let something slip, so she decided not to hide it anymore and spoke sincerely:
"I admit that I knew your identity from the beginning and was planning to get you to help me, but accidentally poisoning you was absolutely unintentional. I just wanted you to handle things here so that you could come with me to save people."
Gu Liyan nodded. "I didn't reject you."
“Then why are you still…” Li Erniang choked.
Gu Liyan sighed and smiled, "You've already lingered here for so long, I don't think you're in a hurry to save someone. Why don't you wait until I've recovered?"
Li Erniang frowned. "Who knows if you'll change your mind because of that woman!"
Gu Liyan was slightly taken aback, thought for a moment, and then said, "If you're worried about that, then I'll go with you once my senior brother and the others have stabilized the situation."
“Alright! It’s a deal!” Li Erniang nodded in agreement without hesitation.
"Since you've agreed, please leave. You're keeping me awake." Gu Liyan said with a smile, issuing an order to leave. "Also, don't let anyone in."
Li Erniang glared at Gu Liyan with annoyance. "I know! Li Jin, let's go out."
After the two left and closed the door, Gu Liyan slowly stood up, removed the gauze covering his eyes, and slowly opened them...
A glint of light flashed in his purple eyes, reflecting the light and shadow, and in an instant the world was illuminated.
Gu Liyan smiled slightly, "I didn't expect that this misfortune would turn into a blessing in disguise. Not only has the Painting Soul Eye recovered, but it has also improved."
Suddenly, Gu Liyan felt a pang of longing for Qingge. His purple eyes blinked, a purple light flashing within them, and his vision shifted, placing him in Qingge's palace—
Qingge stood blankly in front of the mirror, combing her long hair. Gazing at her reflection, she murmured to herself, "Qingge, you are the princess of Weilong Kingdom. People all over the world admire your beauty and wisdom, and you have countless admirers. Why are you so concerned about a fox?"
Qingge sighed, stood up, and went to the window, unaware that a purple light flashed across the mirror.
Outside the window is a sea of flowers, the garden is filled with fragrance and is extremely beautiful.
"Flowers bloom at the wrong time, and those who don't like them still don't like them. What's the point of trying so hard to be beautiful?" Qingge sighed sadly. "You only have yourself to blame for being blind back then..."
Seeing Qingge's sorrowful expression, Gu Liyan felt a pang of heartache and quickly looked away.
"So... Qingqing does care about me!" Gu Liyan smiled gently, inexplicably happy.
Gu Liyan's face stiffened again, and he looked flustered. "Oh no, what happened to her last time? Will she hold a grudge against me? She was so heartbroken, will she hate me? Oh dear, I'm so stupid! How could I forget to use the Soul Painting Eye to check her luck? That way I would know if she resents me."
Gu Liyan looked annoyed. "The Soul Painting Eye can't be used on the same person twice in a row. It seems I'll have to ask Qingqing in person!"
Having made up his mind, Gu Liyan prepared to sneak into the palace. He quietly opened the door and found that Li Erniang and Li Jin had already returned to their room. After thinking for a moment, he closed the door again.
"If I leave like this, and they find out, they'll probably search high and low for me. Perhaps..."
Gu Liyan's eyes lit up, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
Lan Ying lived in the next room, and Li Jin lived in the other room. At this moment, Li Erniang and Li Jin were talking in their room.
"Jin'er, I don't need this poisonous heart for the time being, so I'll leave it to you for safekeeping," Li Erniang said, taking out the poisonous heart.
“Second Aunt, I don’t need it. You can use it to remove the toxins from your body,” Li Jin said.
