Gu Liyan thought of a person whose hateful and greedy eyes lingered in his mind.
"Xiao Li, who do you think that person is?" Qingge looked at Gu Liyan with a puzzled expression, wondering who the person he was talking about was.
Gu Liyan took a deep breath and shouted towards the door, "Yang Wei, I know it's you! You've tried to harm Qingge time and time again, what exactly are you trying to do!"
As soon as Gu Liyan finished speaking, Yang Wei's laughter came from outside the door, "Hahaha! Gu Liyan, I have to say you're really smart!"
"Yang Wei!" Qingge's expression changed slightly, her anger rising. "Yang Wei, the imperial rule is over, why are you trying to harm me and Xiao Li?"
"Princess Qingge, please don't misunderstand. From the beginning, all I wanted was you. It's your fault for looking down on me and getting involved with this unknown pretty boy!" Yang Wei said coldly. "Today, I'll send you and your lover to hell together!"
"You...cough cough..." Qingge was so angry that she couldn't stop coughing because she was choked by the smoke.
"Qingqing." Gu Liyan patted Qingge's back tenderly, and said to Yang Wei outside the door, "Now that the Three Kingdoms have been unified, the imperial power is only in name. A new era is about to begin. Even if you kill us, it won't change anything!"

Upon hearing this, Qingge's expression suddenly changed. "Oh no, my regulations!"

"Qingqing...are you alright?"
Hearing the voice beside her, Qingge breathed a sigh of relief. Opening her eyes, she saw Gu Liyan pinning her to the ground, looking at her with concern. She shook her head and said, "I'm fine, thank you, Xiao Li..."
"It's good that you're alright..." Gu Liyan said, then his body went limp and he fell into her arms. Only then did Qingge realize that Gu Liyan had been shot in the back by an arrow.
"Xiao Li!" Qingge hugged Gu Liyan in her arms, her eyes welling up with tears. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't been so reckless, you wouldn't have gotten hurt."
Qingge felt deeply guilty. Even if the regulations were destroyed, she could have rewritten them! She wouldn't have caused Gu Liyan to suffer further injuries.
Gu Liyan comforted her, "I'm fine, Qingqing, it's alright..."
Just then, Yang Wei's voice came from outside: "Archers, fire!"
Gu Liyan's expression suddenly changed. Sensing danger, he quickly flipped over and pinned Qingge down again. Qingge cried out in alarm as she saw countless arrows shooting in from the window behind Gu Liyan.
"Ugh..." Gu Liyan groaned and fell into Qingge's arms. Several more arrows were shot into his back, leaving him covered in blood and looking gruesome.
"Xiao Li! Xiao Li!" Qing Ge cried out in anguish, "No, don't do this, don't protect me anymore, run away, run away!"
Qingge knew that Gu Liyan was capable of escaping, and she tried to push him away, but Gu Liyan hugged her tightly instead, his voice weak, "Qingqing, please don't push me away... I want to hold you like this forever..."
Qingge trembled, tears streaming down her face. "Xiao Li, don't do this! You'll die! You'll die!"
Gu Liyan smiled slightly, "To die in your arms, I am very happy..."
Qingge choked up and couldn't speak, tears streaming down her face.
"Qingqing, do you know... I have so many stories I haven't told you yet, not just the story of the little flower fairy and the little fox..." Seeing the flames trapping them inside, Qingge stopped struggling and instead held Gu Liyan tightly, smiling as she said, "Little Li, I have no regrets about dying with you..."
Just as Qingge was filled with despair, there was a loud bang as the door was kicked open.
"Gu Liyan!" Hearing the familiar voice, Qingge's eyes lit up. "Here! We're here!"
Li Erniang rushed over following Qingge's voice, and was stunned when she saw Gu Liyan. Gu Liyan was covered in arrows, his body now a blood-red hedgehog. Even so, he still held Qingge tightly beneath him.
