A mournful, plaintive fox cry echoed throughout Thousand Absolutes Mountain, followed by a burst of brilliant light emanating from the once bottomless abyss.
The demons retreated, covering their eyes. It was unclear how long the light lasted before it gradually faded, at which point they opened their eyes and looked at the cliff again.
The cliff face at the bottom was deserted, with only the safety lock hanging forlornly. There was no sign of Gu Liyan or Gu Lingshuang.
Where are they?!
"Could they have fallen down?"
Just as the demons were worried about the two's lives, a little demon suddenly pointed to the opposite bank and exclaimed, "Look! Isn't that the soul of the White Emperor?!"

The demons on the opposite bank, watching Gu Liyan collapse, began pointing and whispering about him:
"Why did this guy pass out?"

"That's possible!"
Seeing Gu Liyan fall, Huo Ling's expression tightened. After a moment's thought, she put on her safety harness and leaped directly to the other side. The expected gravity didn't materialize; Huo Ling landed easily. Without thinking twice, she rushed over and asked, "How is he?"
Gu Ling Shuang looked at Gu Li Yan with a worried expression and said, "It's nothing, he just fainted from exhaustion, it's nothing serious."
Huo Ling breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
