However, I think you are very similar to the person I used to be.” Gu Liyan looked at Mo Bai and said with longing, “I really want to… really want to go back to the past, to that carefree time!”
Upon hearing Gu Liyan's words, Mo Bai immediately suppressed his smile. For some reason, he sensed Gu Liyan's helplessness and pain at that moment, and felt a great sense of unease in his heart.

"Five hours?!" Mo Chen was startled, but then he realized it made sense; everything in Jiuyou was indeed different. He calmed down and sighed, "I'll go find the strategist right away and apologize."
Mo Chen went directly to Gu Yan's residence. "Strategist, I am Mo Chen. I heard you were looking for me..."
"Come in!" came Gu Yan's voice from inside.
"yes."
Mo Chen walked in and saw Gu Yan and Gu Li there. The two of them frowned as they looked at Mo Chen.
"Where did you go?" Gu Li asked.
"I've gone out on a mission with Lord Baidi..."
Before Mo Chen could finish speaking, Gu Li slammed his fist on the table and yelled, "You just go because he tells you to?! Are you stupid?!"
"Strategist, what do you mean by this? That's the White Emperor!" Mo Chen said angrily. "How can we disobey the White Emperor's orders?"
"You dare talk back to me..." Gu Li said angrily.
"Alright, stop arguing!" Gu Yan interrupted them sharply. "It's understandable that Mo Chen was unaware of the situation. Who would have thought someone would impersonate the White Emperor!"
Upon hearing Gu Yan's words, Mo Chen was startled and exclaimed, "What? Someone is impersonating the White Emperor!"
Thinking of Gu Liyan's actions, Mo Chen asked incredulously, "Strategist, are you mistaken? How could someone possibly look exactly like Lord Baidi?"
“The art of changing one’s appearance is the simplest thing in my fox clan. I only discovered later that the White Emperor was not the real White Emperor at all!” Gu Yan said with a frown.
"Kid, hurry up and tell me, where did that White Emperor go?" Gu Li slammed his fist on the table and shouted.
