Chapter 448 Hierarchy and Superiority

Cang Mu had long been unable to tolerate this group of rude demons. Just as he was about to take action, Cang Yi stopped him, saying, "It's better to avoid trouble. Let's make things clear."

Cang Mu squinted at the group of demons and said angrily, "Cang Yi, don't you understand what they mean? We haven't been back for too long, and some people have already forgotten that the Demon Clan has a Holy Son and a strategist! Those who want to replace us are getting impatient!"

Cangyi sighed. He had naturally discerned some of the meaning, but he simply couldn't bring himself to distrust his own people. He was utterly helpless, and there was nothing he could do to stop Cangmu.

"Hmph, the Holy Son and the strategist have been on the front lines for many years. The current strategist is Lord Cang Hong. If you want to usurp the throne, you should at least find out the details! You're incredibly stupid!" the demon captain sneered.

Upon hearing his words, Cangyi's face darkened, and his chest heaved.

Yan Muxue behind him also frowned, but did not ask any questions.

Gu Liyan was also curious. How could the Demon Clan's system be so flawed that there was even talk of internal strife?

Thinking of this, Gu Liyan recalled that ancient books had recorded that during the ancient war, all beings in the three realms united against a common enemy, which brought about a peaceful era.

But now he couldn't remember which power that "external" referred to...

Upon hearing the demon captain's words, Cang Mu angrily pointed at them and cursed, "You bastards! Not only did you attack us without even asking what happened, but you also dare to say that I've already sacrificed myself! I wouldn't mind dying a thousand times over!"

Cang Mu said fiercely, "If I don't teach you a lesson today, it seems you don't know what respect and hierarchy are!"

The demons behind him were intimidated by Cang Mu's imposing aura and took a step back, but the leader of the demons spoke with disdain, "Hmph, even if you were the strategist in the past, you still have to abide by the new laws of the current strategist! The clan leader has accepted them all, and you must obey!"

"Listen to my ass! The strong rule, that's the ironclad law of the Demon Race!" Cang Mu said angrily. "If you're not convinced, then fight me one-on-one!"

Seeing that Cangmu intended to declare war, the demon captain was overjoyed. "Do you really think I'm stupid enough to fight you one-on-one, you traitor of the demon race?"

"Traitor?" Cang Mu's face turned ashen, his eyes bloodshot, and he said viciously, "Say it again if you dare!"

The demon captain was intimidated by Cang Mu's imposing aura and took a step back. However, considering his superior numbers, he figured Cang Mu and his group couldn't cause any trouble. He coldly declared, "You are a traitor! The strategist's formation only reacts to demons. You triggered the formation as soon as you entered, proving that you are colluding with the demons! No matter how great your achievements, if you are connected with the demons, you are traitors!"

Azure Wing glared at him coldly, "Shut up!"

The demon captain trembled again at Cangyi's presence. Although Cangyi's aura was even stronger than Cangmu's, he still refused to believe it and arrogantly declared, "Traitors, you shouldn't have come back. Even if you had, you would still have died!"

“You…” Cangyi gritted his teeth in anger, his fists clenched, wishing he could teach him a lesson, but he held back.

As the Holy Son of the Demon Clan, one is expected to set an example, and one's words and actions must be superior to those of others. However, Cang Mu is different…

"Azure Wing, I can't hold back anymore! I have to teach these guys a lesson today!" Azure Wing said angrily, the edge of the Dark Domain swirling in his hand.

Cangyi was already furious. Instead of stopping Cangyi, Cangyi narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Cangmu, just teach them a lesson. Let them know that they have no right to stand and speak in front of the strong!"

Cang Mu squinted at their group and said, "That's exactly what I was thinking!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Cang Mu transformed into a strange shadow and disappeared underground.

Gu Liyan activated his Soul Painting Eyes and saw him moving swiftly through the crowd like a ghost, accurately stabbing each person in the right calf with a dagger.

In the blink of an eye, the gathered demons all knelt on one knee, writhing in pain, and their gazes toward Cang Mu and the others were filled with terror.

However, the one who was most terrified was not them, but the leader of the demons standing in front, whom Cangmu had not yet attacked.

He looked around in panic, his eyes constantly fixed on the shadow of Cangmu, and he was covered in cold sweat from the tension.

Looking at him like this, Cangmu mocked, "Ha, as a demon captain, you actually fear battle, how laughable!"

"I'm not afraid! Come out here and fight me fair and square!"

Upon hearing Cang Mu's words, the demon captain's eyes inexplicably turned bloodshot. Enraged, he grabbed his sword and lunged at Cang Mu. But Cang Mu was nowhere to be found; he missed his target and stumbled, falling flat on his face.

"Hahaha, your ridiculous appearance is even more amusing than their kneeling!" Cang Mu revealed his true form, came to the demon captain, and mocked him.

The demon captain glared at Cang Mu with a ferocious and terrifying expression, "Those who insult my demon race shall die!"

He pulled a tiny hidden arrow from his sleeve and thrust it toward Cangmu.

Cang Mu sneered, raised his foot and kicked him to the ground. Cang Mu gave him no chance, stepping on his head and snorting, "Hmph, you dared to spout nonsense while launching a sneak attack? How utterly foolish! Whether it's strength or insidious schemes, you are not worthy of being a member of my demon race, much less worthy of being my enemy, Cang Mu!"

Cang Mu narrowed his eyes and coldly said, "Remember, every year on this day, it is your—day of death!"
