When Gu Liyan arrived at the demon clan base, she found that there were more patrolmen around. Remembering that Mo Bai had said he would explain for her, she simply walked over.
"stop!"
Just as they approached the waterfall, a red-haired patrolling goblin came up to them and asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
"Hello, brother... senior. I am a fox demon who has just transformed into human form. I am here to find my organization!" Gu Liyan said humbly.
"Looking for an organization?" The red-haired imp looked Gu Liyan up and down, and seeing that he was indeed wearing a mask, pointed at him and said, "If you're looking for an organization but don't dare show your true face, take it off quickly!"

The red-haired imp turned to look at Gu Liyan and said, "Hurry up and go inside, or you'll be in big trouble if you offend the master!"
Gu Liyan curled her lips and thought to herself, "This guy, does he really have to be so materialistic?"
Gu Liyan entered the cave and immediately saw Mo Bai looking at her with a smile.
Seeing Gu Liyan's resentful expression, Mo Bai couldn't help but laugh and asked, "What? Did those demons discover you? So you came back so quickly?"
Gu Liyan pouted, "Wasn't this all your idea? I've never lied to anyone..."
"Haha, who told you to let me go and gather intelligence and you wouldn't let me! Are you that afraid I'll steal your little girlfriend?" Mo Bai squinted at Gu Liyan and teased.
"You don't even like Xue'er, how can you expect her to trust you?" Gu Liyan said irritably. "Besides, I could never deceive my father!"
"It's clearly your acting that's lacking! If it were me..." Mo Bai chuckled, but seeing Gu Liyan's gloomy gaze, he didn't continue. "Alright, it's my fault for not thinking things through, okay? But you also bear some responsibility. Who told you to be so focused on being with your little girlfriend? When you're fighting a war, you have to act like one! What kind of talk is this, all that lovey-dovey stuff!"
Gu Liyan spoke with a serious expression, "You've never liked anyone, so you won't understand my thoughts. If one day you like someone, you might be just like me, willing to sacrifice everything for her!"
Seeing Gu Liyan's serious expression, Mo Bai smiled awkwardly, "Okay, alright, I believe you..."
Gu Liyan suddenly remembered something and asked, "Is the management of the demon race at the grassroots level not comprehensive enough? That red-haired guy was so powerful just now."
"Haha, you were actually stopped outside by a nobody! I found your angry but speechless expression hilarious!" Mo Bai couldn't help but laugh.
"You still have the nerve to say that! You were the one who had them stand outside to watch me make a fool of myself, weren't you?" Gu Liyan glared at Mo Bai.
"Congratulations on guessing correctly, there's a reward!" With that, Mo Bai took out a sword and handed it to Gu Liyan.
"This is..." Gu Liyan took the sword and looked at Mo Bai with a puzzled expression. "A sword?"
The sword in his hand was black and white, with shimmering light that resembled flowing water ripples; it looked like an extraordinary object.
“Yes, that’s right. I discovered it by chance in the Outer Nine Netherworlds.” Mo Bai said with a smile, “As a senior, consider it a gift for meeting you.”
Gu Liyan held the sword in his hand and swung it a few times with surprising ease. He smiled and said, "Thank you for the gift. I'll give you one another day!"
Mo Bai was taken aback. "Oh? Do you have anything valuable on you?"
"You underestimate me too much. I have treasures too!" Gu Liyan said with a smile.
"Then what are we waiting for? Hurry up and share it!" Mo Bai said with a grin.
"Not now, I need to confirm before I can take it out," Gu Liyan said after thinking for a moment.
He needed to confirm whether the ancient legends of this world possessed the Nine Dust.
"Okay." Mo Bai said expectantly, "I really can't wait to see what gift you'll give me!"
"Don't worry, if I can afford it, I definitely won't treat you unfairly!" Gu Liyan said with a smile.
Mo Bai reminded him of Gu Changyuan, but Mo Bai felt more approachable.
Hearing Gu Liyan's promise, Mo Bai patted Gu Liyan on the shoulder, "You truly are a good brother I've chosen. By the way, do you think if we appear together in front of Gu Yan, he might mistake us for someone else?"
Gu Liyan immediately shook his head. "No, your personality is too different from mine. Father can see through you with just a word or a smile."
"What, you've learned something new again!" Mo Bai joked, throwing a light punch at Gu Liyan's chest.
"Uh..." Gu Liyan groaned, clutching his chest with a pained expression.
"What's wrong? I didn't use much force just now!" Mo Bai asked with concern.
"It's nothing, I just got a little injured on the way back," Gu Liyan said. "But it's nothing serious, I'll be fine after some rest."
Gu Liyan didn't directly mention the injury Cangyi sustained, fearing Mo Bai might do something impulsive, but his worries were unfounded...
"Don't lie to me. Did they discover your purpose and attack you?" Mo Bai said coldly.
