The Nine Netherworld Emperor laughed loudly, "That's right! You didn't lose to me, but to fate!"

The Nine Netherworld Emperor stared in astonishment at the awakened Gu Liyan. "No, impossible! You, how could you come back to life? You were completely..."
"You mean I'm completely lifeless, with no signs of life at all?" Gu Liyan smirked. "It's quite a coincidence, I have to thank you for all of this."
"What?" The Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor looked at Gu Liyan with a surprised expression.
Gu Liyan smiled and said, "Actually, I have to thank you for everything. If I hadn't absorbed the death energy of the undead under your command, I might not have been able to understand the transformation between life and death."
"I also want to thank you for bringing Mo Bai to the Heavenly Palace. Without that, I wouldn't have seen Yin and Yang, nor would I have understood that the transformation of Yin and Yang is no different from the transformation of life and death." Gu Liyan said slowly, "Just as I was about to fall, I merged the last bit of life energy in my body into death energy, and life and death were transformed. Even though I was already dead, I would be resurrected again because of the life energy!"
Upon hearing Gu Liyan's words, the Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor was completely dumbfounded. "This, how is this possible? This is different from every other time! Why is this happening!"
