"What? Why is it my fault? Brother Mo clearly ran away when he saw you! He wouldn't have avoided me!" Wang Qi pointed back.
"Hmph, don't talk big. If you hadn't come out, how could he have run away as soon as he saw you? I bet you scared him half to death by chasing after him!" Liu Liuli sneered.
"You..." Wang Qi was so angry that she couldn't speak, but she was helpless because she couldn't find Gu Liyan. She stomped her foot and said, "I'll go tell Liu Changxian!"
Liu Liuli curled her lips, "If you can't find anyone yourself, you have to ask for outside help. That's typical of the Wang family!"

Upon hearing Liu Changxian's voice, Wang Qi immediately realized who this person was, stood aside, and shut his mouth, no longer speaking.
Liu Changxian picked up a new scalpel and continued the subsequent surgery.
Just then, Liu Liuli arrived at the door. Looking at Liu Changxian's retreating figure, a picture of a fearsome poison doctor flashed through her mind. Seeing Gu Liyan's deathly pale face, her eyes immediately turned red, and she blurted out:
"Dare to hurt the man I've set my sights on! Die—"
He picked up the scalpel that had fallen to the ground and stabbed it towards Liu Liuli. Wang Qi, who was standing nearby, hurriedly cried out, "No!"
Hearing the sound behind him, Liu Changxian was about to turn around when he saw Liu Liuli stabbing at him. He panicked and forgot to dodge.
Just as the blade was about to pierce Liu Changxian, a force suddenly pulled him back, and in an instant he fell into a cold embrace.
Liu Changxian clearly saw the scalpel in Liu Liuli's hand flash by with a cold light, and then it pierced straight into Gu Liyan's arm.
Upon realizing that the person she had stabbed was Gu Liyan, Liu Liuli was so frightened that she quickly let go of his hand and looked at the suddenly awakened Gu Liyan in surprise, "You, you're not dead..."
Gu Liyan glared fiercely at Liu Liuli, then turned his head and his gaze softened immediately. He looked at Liu Changxian, who was unharmed in his arms, and breathed a sigh of relief, saying softly, "Thank goodness, you're alright."
Liu Changxian hurriedly sat up, looking at Gu Liyan's pale and weak appearance, unable to meet his gaze. "I..."
Gu Liyan smiled slightly and lay down weakly.
Liu Changxian asked worriedly, "Are you alright?"
Gu Liyan pointed to the scalpel still stuck in his left shoulder and said with a wry smile, "I'm injured again. Can you treat me?"
