"Everyone in the convoy behind, get down too!" the middle-aged man shouted.
As soon as he finished speaking, a figure jumped out of the car behind him and quickly walked towards him.
The middle-aged man paused for a moment upon seeing the newcomer, but upon noticing that he was dressed in men's clothing, he immediately raised his gun and pointed it at him. "Stop! Don't move! Or I'll shoot!"
Liu Changxian approached the middle-aged man with a murderous look on her face. His gun was pointed at her, but she was not afraid at all. She directly pressed her chest against the muzzle of the gun and quickly took out a scalpel and placed it against the middle-aged man's neck.
The cold temperature on his neck startled the middle-aged man, making him forget that he had a gun and miss the best opportunity to retaliate.
Seeing Liu Changxian hold the scalpel to the middle-aged man's neck, the group behind him involuntarily took a step back.
One of the boys spoke up urgently, "What are you going to do? Release Uncle Meng right now!"
Meng Zhong swallowed hard, not daring to move an inch. He vividly remembered the time when Gu Liyan used a scalpel to wreak havoc!
Liu Changxian's gaze swept over them, and she said coldly, "Do you know that your act of blocking the road almost killed Mo Li? If he had died, all of you would have died!"
"Mo Li? Brother Mo?!" Upon hearing Liu Changxian's words, the young man hurriedly ran forward and asked, "Brother, I am Brother Mo's younger brother. Is he in the carriage?"
Meng Zhong also realized what was wrong with Brother Mo.
Liu Changxian frowned as she looked at them...
A group of people surrounded the car, anxiously peering inside. Among them, a woman, though covered in dust and dirt, with a captivating figure, asked with particular concern.
"Brother Huo Tong, is our benefactor injured?" Li Wan'er asked.
Huo Tong shook his head. "I don't know either, but Brother Mo's kung fu is so good, he should be fine."
Li Wan'er nodded happily, "That's good, I must thank him in person later."
Li Wan'er was the woman among the three people Gu Liyan saved back then, and she has now fully recovered.
Meng Zhong took a bottle of anti-inflammatory medicine out of his package and handed it to Liu Changxian. "Look, is this it?"
Upon seeing the ingredients, Liu Changxian nodded excitedly, "That's right! This is it! I'll inject it into him right away."
Meng Zhong said, "It's quite a coincidence that Brother Mo was the one who found the medicine. If he hadn't risked his life to retrieve it, those three lives would have been lost in vain!"
“Mo Li is really kind. He helped me prepare the antidote and got injured himself…” Liu Changxian said while injecting the medicine. She lowered her head with a guilty look and said regretfully, “If I had trusted him a little more, he wouldn’t have been injured so badly.”
Meng Zhong didn't blame Liu Changxian, and comforted him, "Brother Mo is just that kind of selfless person, you don't need to take it too seriously."
Liu Changxian nodded, and seeing that Gu Liyan's breathing had calmed down, she smiled and said, "Yes, that's just the kind of person he is."
"Alright, you take care of him. I'll go out now," Meng Zhong said before leaving.
As soon as Meng Zhong came out, he was surrounded by others. "How is Brother Mo?"
"How is my benefactor?"
"Is Brother Mo alright?"
Meng Zhong reassured everyone, "He's alright, don't worry."
"That's good, I'm glad you're alright."
Li Wan'er stepped forward and said, "Uncle Meng, may I go in and see my benefactor? I'm only alive because of him, so I should at least know what he looks like, right?"
Meng Zhong thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright, go in and take a look."
"Me too, me too!" Huo Tong raised his hand and said when he saw Li Wan'er was going.
Knowing that Gu Liyan and Huo Tong were close, Meng Zhong nodded and said, "You two go in, the rest of you wait."
Li Wan'er and Huo Tong got into the car. When they saw Gu Liyan trying to walk over, Liu Changxian frowned and scolded, "You two should just stand there and watch. Don't go over."
Huo Tong quickly stopped, not daring to take another step. Li Wan'er, however, couldn't take her eyes off Gu Liyan's face. It was the first time she had ever seen such a handsome man…
“A gentleman like jade on the road, unparalleled in the world. I always thought there was no such gentleman in this world as described in the poem, but I never expected that my benefactor would be such an ordinary person!” Li Wan’er said excitedly.
Liu Changxian felt uneasy: What did this woman mean? Coming up to praise the man she liked, could it be that she had fallen for Gu Liyan?
Liu Changxian is feeling very sour right now, as if she's drunk a bottle of vinegar!
"Cough cough..." Gu Liyan coughed again.
Li Wan'er rushed forward to take care of Gu Liyan, but Liu Changxian pushed her away and said irritably, "You're so dirty, how many germs must be on you! Who will be responsible if his wound gets infected again!"
Li Wan'er was so frightened that she quickly retreated, not daring to take another step forward.
Seeing her standing obediently in place, Liu Changxian proudly raised her chin and hugged Gu Liyan in her arms.
Seeing Liu Changxian's actions, Li Wan'er and Huo Tong's eyes widened. They exchanged a glance, and both saw an ambiguous meaning in each other's eyes.
Seeing the two of them still standing there, Liu Changxian said irritably, "What are you looking at? This is how I treat Xiao Li! If you don't want to look, then get out!"

Huo Tong stared wide-eyed at Liu Changxian, speechless with astonishment.
Li Wan'er raised an eyebrow, looked Liu Changxian up and down and found that she did indeed look like a woman. Then she saw Gu Liyan being held in her arms and didn't know what to say, so she turned and left.
Seeing Li Wan'er leave, Huo Tong followed her, turning back every step of the way.
Liu Changxian looked at Gu Liyan in his arms and smiled smugly, "Little Li, in this world, no one can take you away from me!"
