Seeing Gu Liyan in a daze, Liu Mengxian, enraged, pushed him out the door, yelling, "Aren't you done asking? You can leave now! Get out of here!"
"Xian'er, don't be angry, listen to me first..." Gu Liyan was about to explain when Liu Mengxian, while crying, pushed Gu Liyan out the door. "You know I'm a murderer, and you still won't leave? Do you want me to kill you too?!"
Just as Gu Liyan was about to say something, Liu Mengxian touched the wound on his back with force, causing him to stumble and fall at the doorway.
Seeing Gu Liyan fall, Liu Mengxian looked at him worriedly and was about to ask what was wrong when she saw Gu Liyan stand up unharmed. She immediately became furious and said, "Are you dead?! Should I call an ambulance for you?!"
Gu Liyan was sweating profusely from the pain. He finally managed to stand up and heard Liu Mengxian's words. His heart ached terribly. He turned to Liu Mengxian and said pitifully, "Xian'er, I had some doubts about you. I have let you down these past few days. Please don't be angry, okay?"
Seeing Gu Liyan's pale face and cold sweat streaming down his face, Liu Mengxian, remembering how he had ignored her and hurt her time and time again, spoke with resentment, "You bully me without even saying an apology?"
"I'm sorry, can you forgive me?" Gu Liyan asked pleadingly.
Liu Mengxian pursed her lips and said, "You, you just took what I...that...you said you don't want to take responsibility for me?"
Gu Liyan, panting heavily, said, "Tell me how you will take responsibility, and I will do as you say!"
Liu Mengxian looked at Gu Liyan with excitement and shouted, "I want you to marry me!"
Looking at Liu Mengxian, Gu Liyan felt as if he were transported back to the days they spent together. He had forgotten that although he had expressed his feelings, he had never given her a wedding!
Seeing Gu Liyan in a daze, Liu Mengxian assumed he was unwilling, and her eyes immediately reddened. She said with a wronged expression, "If you don't agree, then forget it. I won't force you..."
Gu Liyan snapped out of his daze, looked at Liu Mengxian and smiled, "If you marry me, I dare to marry you!"
Liu Mengxian looked at Gu Liyan, and his serious expression made it clear he wasn't lying. Finally, tears welled up in her eyes, and she rushed forward to hug Gu Liyan tightly, crying, "I'll marry him! I'll marry him!"
Gu Liyan smiled and hugged Liu Mengxian, saying, "I'll marry her! I'll marry her!"
