Xuan Tiandao stared at Lin Momo and said, word by word, "Then will you become a stumbling block for me?"
Lin Momo calmly asked, "What do you mean by that, Father? Do you perhaps want to rule the whole world?"
"Hehe, rule the world? Just because we can't now doesn't mean we can't in the future!" Xuan Tiandao said with a smile.

She never expected that Xuan Tian Dao would actually send someone to kill her!
Lin Momo accelerated, and the car behind her also accelerated. The modified car was much better performing than Lin Momo's car, and it overtook Lin Momo in just a few breaths.

She immediately opened the car door and jumped out—the driverless car was thrown off the road and fell off a cliff.
Seeing Lin Momo's car plunge off the cliff, the assassin hiding in the car smiled smugly and then left.
Lin Momo climbed up the hillside, blood streaming from her forehead and covered in abrasions, but she seemed to be alright.
Lin Momo wiped the blood from her face, feeling a splitting headache. She quickly took out her phone and dialed a number, "Hello? Send someone to pick me up at this address, I'm on Nanjiao District Road..."
Before Lin Momo could finish speaking, the car that had been leaving rushed towards her at high speed. Lin Momo reacted immediately and tried to dodge to the right, but she still couldn't avoid it. The car hit her waist and sent her flying. Lin Momo fell heavily to the ground and rolled several times before stopping.
Lin Momo felt as if her whole body had fallen apart. She collapsed to the ground, too weak to get up. She opened her mouth to try to get up, but instead vomited blood.
The person who got out of the car walked towards Lin Momo with a loaded gun in his hand. Lin Momo stared at the person with half-open eyes as the dark muzzle of the gun was pointed at her. Lin Momo's people quickly arrived at the scene of the accident and took Lin Momo to the ambulance that had come with them.
The Third Hospital
Gu Liyan dreamt that Lin Momo was lying in a pool of blood, covered in blood, spitting blood and barely breathing. He seemed to be able to feel Lin Momo's pain...
"Lin Momo..." Gu Liyan was anxious to go and save her, but when he got there, he found that she was far away.
Lin Momo seemed to sense his gaze, looked up at him, and her pleading eyes made Gu Liyan tremble, then he snapped out of his daze—

Hua Baixian nodded, "I'll go find her right away, don't worry."

Hua Baixian sat outside the operating room, praying incessantly that Lin Momo would be alright.
After an unknown amount of time, the operating room indicator light went out. Hua Baixian immediately stood up and anxiously asked, "How is she? Where is Lin Momo?"
Dean Gao said with a heavy expression, "I'm sorry, the boss was shot four times, and her injuries were too severe to save her..."
Hua Baixian, tears streaming down her face, choked out, "How could this be? How could she have been shot? The nurse just told me it was a car accident, you're lying to me, aren't you?"
