The sky was grey this morning. As Gu Liyan and Hua Baixian walked out of the hospital, fog began to rise and a light drizzle started to fall. They hadn't expected so many people to come and "see them off"!
Gu Liyan stopped in his tracks, looking at the reporters surrounding him with their phones and cameras. He knew the news of his discharge would inevitably leak out, but he hadn't expected it to have such a huge impact, effectively blocking the entire hospital.

Hua Baixian felt Gu Liyan's hand gradually getting colder and him pulling her hand harder, and she realized that Gu Liyan was in a bad mood.
Hua Baixian also gripped Gu Liyan tightly. Gu Liyan came to his senses and remained silent, but he did not stop negotiating with them.
With the crowd so large, bumps and scrapes were inevitable, and given that most of Gu Liyan's fans were girls, there was an added safety risk. Therefore, Gu Liyan moved slowly, fearing a stampede—there were simply too many people this time!

Gu Liyan quickly pulled Hua Baixian into his arms, letting the things thrown by the excited crowd hit him.
"Ugh—" Gu Liyan was in pain all over his body from the beating and groaned repeatedly.
Hearing Gu Liyan's painful groans, Hua Baixian cried out anxiously, "Stop hitting him! Stop hitting him! He's still injured!"
Hua Baixian's voice was drowned out by the curses from the crowd and had no effect whatsoever.
Gu Liyan's forehead was struck by a heavy object and bled. The bright red blood finally calmed the red-eyed man down.
"Stop hitting him! He'll die if you keep going!" a middle-aged woman who had calmed down shouted.
Gu Liyan was kneeling on one knee, his body supported by Hua Baixian in his arms. His white shirt was dirty and his face was covered in blood. It was because of his parents' blood that people calmed down.
In their excitement, many people had already picked up bricks and stones. It's hard to imagine what would happen to Gu Liyan if all of these were thrown at him.
Hua Baixian, her face streaked with tears, broke free from Gu Liyan's embrace, cupped his blood-stained face, and cried out, "How could you be so foolish?"
Gu Liyan smiled and said, "I can't drag you down with me..."
The rain gradually intensified, washing away the bloodstains from Gu Liyan's face. His handsome face smiled weakly, devoid of any dissatisfaction.
Hua Baixian looked worriedly at the wound on Gu Liyan's forehead. Although the wound was not deep, it was still prone to infection. "Shall we go back to the hospital to get it bandaged?"
"Don't go, it's just a minor injury. Let's hurry, or we won't be able to get home before dark." Gu Liyan struggled to his feet, but before he could even steady himself, his legs gave way and he leaned against Hua Baixian. Hua Baixian quickly supported Gu Liyan and asked anxiously, "Xiao Li, how are you?"
Touching Gu Liyan's body, she felt a burning heat, and Hua Baixian immediately panicked, "You have a fever..."
"No, it's nothing, don't make a fuss, let's leave quickly..." Gu Liyan's voice gradually weakened.

Hua Baixian stood at the intersection, pacing back and forth. Gu Liyan's body temperature was rising higher and higher, and the rain was relentlessly getting heavier. If he continued to get soaked in the rain, he would get sick even if he wasn't already!
Hua Baixian had no choice but to continue walking with Gu Liyan. After walking for an unknown distance, they finally saw vehicles on another street. Although the traffic was congested, it was good that Gu Liyan was getting wet in the rain.
Hua Baixian called several taxis, but when the drivers saw that Hua Baixian was followed by a group of reporters, they locked the doors without thinking and didn't give Gu Liyan and the others a chance to get in the car.
Hua Baixian was so angry she wanted to curse. Was she just going to let Gu Liyan continue to get soaked in the rain?
At this moment, Gu Liyan's consciousness was somewhat blurred, and he slumped against Hua Baixian. Hua Baixian hurriedly helped Gu Liyan to sit down on the side, saying, "Little Li, Little Li, hang in there, we'll be able to leave soon!"
