Suddenly remembering something, Gu Tao asked, "By the way, where's Xiaoying who came back with us? Has she eaten?"
"Xiaoying needs to be punished for sneaking out. She's currently locked in the next room and needs to recuperate for seven days without food," Gu Cheng explained.

As soon as she finished speaking, footsteps and tinkling sounds came from the corridor. Curious, Gu Tao looked out the window and saw a figure wearing a cloak, whose face and gender were indistinguishable, walking towards the study in the dark corridor. In the blink of an eye, the figure arrived at the study door.
Upon seeing this person, Gu Cheng quickly stood up and respectfully bowed, saying, "Greetings, Your Excellency."
An envoy? Gu Tao blinked as she looked at the cloaked figure, thinking that this person must have a background!
When Sakura saw this person approaching, her legs went weak and she knelt on the ground, trembling with fear and unable to speak.
Seeing that Xiaoying was trembling with fear, Gu Tao quickly said, "Who are you? Don't scare me!"
The person addressed as "Your Excellency the Messenger" said nothing, took out a bunch of keys, found one, and opened the door to the study.
Seeing the study door open, Gu Tao was dumbfounded. "This, this... are you the master of this place?"
Gu Cheng hurriedly said, "Young Master, you misunderstand. This is the Master's personal bodyguard."
Gu Tao nodded in realization and looked at the cloaked man, asking, "Cloaked man, can you take me to find the master?"
The cloaked figure nodded, pointed at Gu Tao, and turned to leave.
Gu Tao was overjoyed and said to Gu Cheng and Xiao Ying, "You two wait here for me, I'll be right back!"
Gu Tao followed, trailing behind the cloaked figure.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Gu Tao felt her legs were aching terribly and couldn't help but ask, "Where are you taking me? You've already explored every Thousand Absolute Fortress. When are we finally going to get there?"
Gu Tao asked questions one after another, but the man remained silent and continued to walk forward. Gu Tao couldn't help but purse her lips and say, "This guy, could he not speak?"
The cloaked figure remained silent, but stopped in his tracks, for he had reached the end of the road.
Gu Tao looked at the wall in front of her, which was engraved with mysterious symbols, and immediately asked, "Have we gone the wrong way?"
The cloaked figure remained silent, stepped forward, and pressed down on one of the bricks. The wall suddenly became transparent, leaving Gu Tao speechless with astonishment. The cloaked figure then turned and bowed to Gu Tao before disappearing into the darkness.
Gu Tao intended to ask him where they were, but the cloaked figure had vanished without a trace.
