"An illusion?!" Di Moyue was utterly shocked. "How is this possible?!"
"Hallucination! This must be a hallucination!" Di Moyue looked at Mo Han in disbelief and subconsciously took a few steps back. But he suddenly realized that the distance between him and Mo Han had not changed at all!
Mo Han suddenly laughed. "Have you admitted defeat?"
Di Moyue stared at Mo Han in astonishment. "You're fake. You can't fool me, and I won't lose!"
Mo Han's lips curled up slightly. "But you've already lost."
"Impossible!" Di Moyue exclaimed angrily, brandishing her curved sword.
Mo Han smiled slightly and waved his hand, suddenly disappearing from Di Moyue's sight. Then, Di Moyue's vision blurred, and when he came back to his senses, he found that the people standing in front of him were not Mo Han, but Mo Chen and Li Erniang, who were looking at him with surprise.
"What, what's going on?" Di Moyue looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression.
“You lost…not unjustly!” Li Erniang said, her lips twitching slightly.
"What? I lost?!" Di Moyue exclaimed in astonishment.
Li Erniang chuckled twice and looked up at Mo Han on the city wall.
Following Li Erniang's gaze, they found themselves standing beneath the city wall without realizing it.
Mo Han, standing on the city wall, looked down at him with a smile.
Di Moyue was slightly taken aback. "How... how is that possible? I was clearly up there..."
Suddenly, Di Moyue remembered her actions in that illusion, and her expression changed drastically. "Could it be that I came down on my own?! How, how is that possible?!"
Mo Han's lips curled up slightly as he leaped down to Di Moyue's side. "In this world, there are only things that haven't happened yet, nothing is impossible! A bet is a bet, what else do you have to say?"
"I, I...I admit defeat." After saying these three words, Di Moyue deflated like a punctured balloon, all her arrogance gone.
"Mo Chen, let's go!" Mo Han called out to Mo Chen and walked towards the city.
"Alright!" Mo Chen chuckled and followed Mo Han into the city.
Upon hearing the name "Mo Chen," Di Moyue froze, staring blankly at their receding figures. Suddenly, her eyes lit up and widened in surprise. "Mo Chen? Could they be the Punishers of the Nine Springs Realm?!"
"You discovered it too late." Li Erniang looked at Di Moyue with a sympathetic expression and thought to herself.
Li Erniang glanced at Mo Han and the other person's retreating figures but did not follow. According to the agreement, after reviving Gu Liyan and sending them into the city, she could leave.
Li Erniang glanced at the terrified Di Moyue, snorted coldly, and turned to leave...
Di Moyue swallowed hard. It was probably too late to inform Shangguan Honghuo now.
"Li Erniang didn't come along?" Mo Chen turned around and asked, "Did she fall behind?"
“No, we made a private agreement that after saving Gu Liyan, we would bring her to the Kingdom of Warriors and then she would leave,” Mo Han said.
"What? You just let her go like that? We don't even know what her purpose was in getting close to Gu Liyan!" Mo Chen said anxiously, "No! I have to find her and bring her back!"
"You don't need to look for her, she must have gone back to find Gu Liyan," Mo Han reminded her.
"You wouldn't have given her this opportunity on purpose, would you?" Mo Chen smiled meaningfully.
Mo Han raised the corners of his mouth. "Heh, who knows!"
The two exchanged a knowing smile and walked into the city.
Upon entering the city, Mo Han and his companion were immediately captivated by the simple and honest local customs. The neat streets were lined with shops selling handicrafts and various weapons and tools. The only legitimate shops were restaurants.
Moreover, Mo Han and his companion discovered that the people here had no concept of money and simply bartered.
Their skin was dark, and their clothes were so plain they looked almost like primitive people. Mo Han and his companion stood in stark contrast to them as soon as they entered the city.
Although Mo Han and Mo Chen were walking with their eyes fixed ahead, they noticed that the people in the city seemed to be looking at them with ill intent.
In their eyes, Mo Han read surprise, and anger.
The two exchanged a glance, both noticing something unusual in each other's eyes, and immediately became wary.
A dark-skinned boy saw the two of them run out of the room, his eyes filled with malice, and he even spat on their backs.
Mo Chen frowned, turned around and glared at the boy, then couldn't help but whisper to Mo Han, "What's wrong with the people here? Why are they looking at us like we want to eat us alive!"
Mo Han frowned but didn't speak; he was also puzzled. Everyone along the way had acted the same way, and he inexplicably harbored resentment towards them.
Mo Han stopped and squinted slightly. Being stared at like that by a group of people was extremely uncomfortable!
An idea suddenly occurred to him: "If we want to know why they're doing this, why don't we just ask them?"
"Huh?" Mo Chen didn't react for a moment when he heard Mo Han speak.
Mo Han stopped and coldly looked at the boy standing by the roadside, who was staring at him with resentment. "Hey kid, do you know that attacking someone from behind means losing your head?"
When Kecha saw Mo Han suddenly turn around and stare at him fiercely, he trembled with fear, but he still straightened his chest fearlessly and stammered, "My mother said that if I'm going to die, I should be heavier than Mount Tai! Although I, Kecha, don't know how big Mount Tai is, it's definitely heavier than me! You, you don't look down on me because I'm small, I still have sixty pounds of flesh!"
Hearing Kecha's words and looking at Kecha's thin little body, Mo Chen couldn't help but suppress a laugh: This child's serious expression is so similar to that of a certain fox!
