At this moment, Yan Muxue was having a great time playing with the deer. But as she watched the deer leisurely grazing, the smile on her face faded, and she began to miss the people down the mountain. "Grandma and Grandma are not in good health. I wonder if they are doing well, and I wonder when I will be able to go back."
Yan Muxue looked at the deer and murmured to herself, "If only I could be as free and carefree as you! Then I wouldn't have to worry about my health, nor would I have to stay here and suffer..."
"Is it to be a crime to trespass in my Thousand Desolation Mountain?!"
Hearing the reprimanding voice behind her, Yan Muxue turned around and saw Gu Yan walking towards her. She was so frightened that her face turned pale, and she lowered her head, not daring to speak.
Gu Yan walked up to her in a few steps and said coldly, "Many people want to visit my Thousand Absolute Mountain but are turned away. You are fortunate to be able to stay here!"
Upon hearing this, Yan Muxue muttered, "I'd rather not have this blessing!"
"What did you say?" Gu Yan looked at Yan Muxue coldly.
Yan Muxue hurriedly waved her hand, "No, it's nothing."
"It seems that if I don't teach you a lesson, you won't know who the master of Thousand Absolute Mountain is!" Gu Yan said coldly.
Yan Muxue was so frightened that her legs went weak and she knelt on the ground.
Gu Yan grabbed Yan Muxue and pulled her up. "Come with me to the ancestral hall!"
"No! I won't go!" Yan Muxue screamed in fright, "Xiao Li! Help me, Xiao Li!"
Her cry frightened the grazing fawns into the forest.
Upon hearing Yan Muxue call Gu Liyan, Gu Yan coldly snorted, "Hmph, do you think Gu Liyan can save you? Come with me!"
Gu Yan dragged Yan Muxue to the ancestral hall. As soon as they entered, Yan Muxue couldn't stop trembling. Gu Yan pushed her to the ground without any politeness and said, "Kneel here and reflect on your actions!"
After saying that, he turned around and closed the door of the ancestral hall, setting up a restriction.
Yan Muxue hurriedly chased after him, but was still locked inside. She pounded on the door and shouted, "Let me out! I don't want to be here!"
Gu Yan snorted coldly from outside the door and turned to leave.
Yan Muxue pounded on the door, crying, "I was wrong! Fox Fairy, I know I was wrong, please let me out! Please let me out..."
Gu Yan has already left, and no matter how Yan Muxue calls out to her, it will be to no avail.
As night fell, Gu Liyan was wide awake. Looking at the pitch black outside the window, he grew anxious. "Where did Yan Muxue go? Why hasn't she come back yet?"
Gu Liyan felt a growing sense of unease. "This girl is afraid of the dark, she should be back before nightfall... Wait, could it be that she secretly went down the mountain and left?"
However, Gu Liyan immediately rejected this idea. Although Yan Muxue did not want to stay here, she would never go back because her mother-in-law had strictly ordered her to!
Gu Liyan patted his head, then realized, "This girl must have gotten lost in the woods!"
Gu Liyan put on her clothes and hurriedly went out to search the woods.
Upon entering the woods and seeing the deer, he hurriedly went up to ask, "Deer, have you seen the girl who came up the mountain with me the other day? The one who's really cute."
"Oh, that girl? She stared at me all day. I thought she had a crush on me! But she's still a child, so there's no way we could be together!" The little deer actually spoke in a human voice, with a childish tone.
Gu Liyan rolled her eyes. "I know you're aloof, but I don't want to know this. Just tell me where she went!"
"Where else could it have gone? Your master took it away!" the little deer said matter-of-factly.
"Huh? My master?! Where did my master take her?" Gu Liyan pressed.
"How would I know where the ancestral hall your master was talking about is?" Little Deer said irritably.
"Ancestral hall? Oh no, this is bad!" Gu Liyan realized something was wrong and hurriedly ran towards the ancestral hall.
Upon arriving at the ancestral hall, Gu Liyan found the door sealed with a magic barrier. He hurriedly called out, "Yan Muxue, are you inside? Yan Muxue—"
Yan Muxue was curled up, shivering from the cold. Hearing Gu Liyan's voice outside the door, she scrambled to her feet as if grasping at a lifeline, rushed to the door, and cried out, "Gu Liyan! You damn fox, why did you take so long to come! Waaaaah, don't you know it's freezing cold and dark in here? Waaaaah..."
Hearing Yan Muxue's cries, Gu Liyan felt a pang of pain in his heart. "Don't be afraid, I'll let you out right now!"
Gu Liyan's face was solemn. He took a breath and, while forming a hand seal with his fingers, shouted at the door, "Release!"
The restrictions on the door remained completely unaffected, as if a stone had sunk into the sea. Gu Liyan stared in surprise at his hand and cursed under his breath, "Damn it!"
He forgot that he really had no magic at all right now.
Yan Muxue waited for a long time, but Gu Liyan still didn't open the door. She urged him impatiently, "You damn fox, hurry up! Do you want me to freeze to death? Let me tell you, if I freeze to death, I'll haunt you even as a ghost!"
Gu Liyan came to her senses and comforted him, "Wait for me, I'll get you out of here right away."
Upon hearing this, Yan Muxue asked in confusion, "Where are you going? Hey... Xiao Li? Gu Liyan!"
There was no longer any movement from Gu Liyan outside the door.
Boom—
Just then, thunder suddenly rang out.
Yan Muxue was so frightened that her face turned pale, and she huddled together, trembling all over.
The torrential rain made the ancestral hall even colder, and Yan Muxue couldn't help but sob, shivering, "Gu, Gu Liyan, you... bastard! You actually, you actually left me here, all alone, here, even if I become a ghost... I will never let you go!"
Da da da—
Outside the door, a snow-white fox walked towards the ancestral hall in the night rain; it was Gu Liyan in her true form.
