Qianjue Mountain
After his battle with Mo Han, Gu Liyan regained his life. Now, a century later, although the land is still desolate, life is everywhere, with tender shoots of grass and trees displaying their vibrant vitality.
The place where Gu Liyan once lived is now occupied by countless demons. Today happens to be the annual gathering of all the demons to discuss the land occupation. Unaware of this, Gu Liyan arrived at the White Tiger Gate, one of the four entrances of the Xuanmen sect, relying on his memory. There, he found a rabbit demon, transformed into a half-human, half-demon, standing at the entrance.
It had gray rabbit ears, a chubby face, and wore a cute floral dress. It was a little rabbit demon named Jiu Jiu.
After a long while, Gu Liyan was dressed in white, wearing a red and white mask, holding a jade flute with an elegant demeanor, and exuding a refreshing peach blossom fragrance.
As the saying goes, those who have been in human form for a thousand years are exceptionally gifted, devoid of any demonic aura, and a few even possess a unique fragrance. Gu Liyan belongs to this group of exceptionally gifted individuals who have lived for a thousand years.
Jiu Jiu immediately recognized Gu Liyan's extraordinary qualities, and stepped forward with a smile, bowing respectfully. "Greetings, Senior. I am Jiu Jiu, the receptionist from the White Tiger Sect for this gathering of ten thousand demons. May I ask which branch of the White Clan you belong to, and do you have any attendants with you?"
Upon hearing Jiu Jiu's words, Gu Liyan asked with considerable confusion, "Isn't this the entrance to the Bai Clan? When did it become a gathering place for all demons?"
"Senior, you may not know? A hundred years ago, the White Emperor descended upon the Bai Clan and restored the vitality of Thousand Absolute Mountain. However, because the Bai Clan's spiritual energy was not provided, the recovery was slow. Ten thousand demons gathered here and decided that the race that contributed the most spiritual energy would become the leader of the Bai Clan, and a new leader would be elected every year," Jiu Jiu explained.
Upon hearing this, Gu Liyan frowned. "Besides the Gu clan, how can other races gather affinity power? And how can you determine the strength of affinity power?"
After a long while, Gu Liyan pressed her for answers, and she looked embarrassed and didn't know what to say. She didn't know how the important figures above assessed fate power, only that the leader was always the strongest member of the Bai clan.
Seeing that no one spoke for a long time, Gu Liyan sneered, "Hmph, I'm afraid you've all forgotten that the Gu family is the leader of the Bai people, isn't it?"
For a long time, he was too intimidated by Gu Liyan's words to refute them.
"Who's making such a racket in front of the White Tiger Gate!"
Just then, a large group of people walked towards them from not far away. Upon seeing the newcomers approaching, Jiu Jiu hurriedly went up to them and respectfully greeted them, "Greetings, Young Master of the Tiger Clan."
"Jiujiu, I didn't expect you to be even more beautiful after a year!" Hu Jing raised his hand and patted Jiujiu's head, smiling as he spoke.
With a sweet smile and an innocent look, Jiu Jiu said, "Thank you for the compliment, Young Master."
Hu Jing turned his head, his smile vanished, and looked at Gu Liyan with an air of authority, coldly saying, "Is this the first time I've met this friend? You were the one who caused such a ruckus at the White Tiger Gate just now."
Gu Liyan squinted at Hu Jing, but said nothing.
Seeing that Gu Liyan showed no intention of speaking, he hurriedly stepped forward and said, "There's no such thing as arguing. This senior is actually here for the first time. He was just asking me about the gathering of ten thousand demons."
"Oh?" Hu Jing squinted at Gu Liyan and sneered, "Hmph, now that you've found out, why don't you leave quickly? Although this gathering of ten thousand demons has gathered ten thousand demons, it's not something ordinary little demons can participate in!"
The henchman following behind Hu Jing spoke with a smug look on his face:
"Only races of noble blood like our Tiger Clan can participate in the Gathering of Ten Thousand Demons. Kid, you should go back to where you came from!"
Hu Jing sneered and walked up to Gu Liyan. "Did you hear that, kid? This is the Bai tribe, not a place for nobody like you!"
Gu Liyan's lips curled up. "I remember that the Bai Clan has four ancient clans, one of which is the White Tiger Clan. You must be the young master of the White Tiger Clan in this generation, right?"
Hu Jing raised an eyebrow. "It seems you do have some knowledge. I, Hu Jing, am the young master of the Tiger Clan! What do you think?"
"Hehe, I wonder if the current head of the Tiger Clan is Amber, or Tiger Guard? Or perhaps Tiger Yin, who is ranked third?" Gu Liyan asked with a smile.
One hundred years ago, although Thousand Absolute Mountain was severely damaged by a sneak attack by the Demon Clan, the Tiger Clan always maintained its strength and did not perish. Instead, it was reshuffled and returned to its heyday.
Although the eldest son, Amber, has pure blood, he is carefree and dislikes power struggles. The second son has no successor, so even if he becomes the head of the family, it probably won't last long. As for Hu Yin, who ranks third among the tiger clan's strategists, he is the best choice...
Hu Jing was slightly taken aback by Gu Liyan's words. "You...you know my father? Who exactly are you?"
"So you're Hu Yin's son!" Gu Liyan raised an eyebrow and smiled, carefully examining Hu Jing. He had almost forgotten that the tiger-like boy, a hundred years his junior, was now old enough to transform into human form...
Gu Liyan sighed inwardly, recalling what Hu Yin had said to him back then, and muttered to himself, "To your father, I... I'm afraid I've always just been that irresponsible little guy."
Upon hearing this, Hu Jing raised an eyebrow and sneered, "Hmph, so what if you, a junior, know my father? This gathering of ten thousand demons isn't something you can just enter based on connections!"
Gu Liyan glanced at Hu Jing, smiled faintly, and said nothing. Instead, he turned to Jiu Jiu and politely asked, "Miss Jiu Jiu, I would like to participate in the gathering of ten thousand demons. Do you have any suggestions?"
Upon hearing Gu Liyan's words, Jiu Jiu's expression changed, and she subconsciously looked at Hu Jing, "This..."
"Kid, you're really overestimating yourself! This gathering is not open to anyone who isn't from the Bai ethnic group! If you really want to get in, you'll have to pay a price!"
