Chapter 15

The next morning, at daybreak, Yin Chengyu left the inn in a carriage and headed for the smaller Fushou Palace. His excuse was that he wanted to burn a stick of incense at Fushou Palace. Fushou Palace was well-known in Tianjin, and when Yin Chengyu arrived in Tianjin, he wanted to go take a look without alerting Wan Youliang and the others.

Xue Shu also accompanied him.

However, he was still needed to stabilize Wan Youliang, so he did not show up in the entourage, but sat in the carriage with Yin Chengyu.

The carriage in the inn was naturally not as spacious and comfortable as the one in the East Palace. Yin Chengyu had gotten up early and was already sleepy. In addition, the road outside the city was uneven, and the carriage was bumping around, which made him feel a little uncomfortable. Seeing that Xue Shu, who was sitting next to him, seemed to be fine, he pointed to the empty seat next to him and said, "Come sit here, my friend."

Xue Shu sat down as he was told. Just as he was about to ask, he was glanced at by him and said, "Sit still, don't move around, and don't talk."

After saying this, he lay down and rested his head on Xue Shu's legs.

This human flesh pillow is indeed much more comfortable than a hard pillow.

"Give me a head massage again." After giving the instructions, Yin Chengyu closed his eyes with peace of mind.

It was Xue Shu who felt the weight on his legs. He lowered his head again and saw the beautiful face that had appeared in Zhang's dream. For a moment, even his breathing became disordered.

He clenched his fingers, then slowly loosened them. He let out a deep breath, then restrained himself and placed his hands on Yin Chengyu's head, avoiding the crown of his hair, and massaged with controlled force.

At this time, one of them was sitting and the other was lying. Xue Shu lowered his head, and his eyes inevitably fell on Yin Chengyu's face.

Yin Chengyu closed his eyes, his eyelashes trembling slightly with his breathing. His pale lips were slightly pursed, full and moist, which reminded Xue Shu of the dream in which these two lips were bitten and blood was coagulated.

That's another style.

It is the cold moon above the nine heavens that has fallen into the mortal world and become contaminated by the filth of the world, becoming enchanting and alluring.

Xue Shu licked his lips unconsciously, and the beast suppressed in his heart began to roar again.

The roar continued to tempt: get closer to him, possess him, and dirty him.

Drag this unique and noble man into the mire, infect him with his scent, bear his mark, and sink with him into the filth, from then on there is no escape.

But in the end, he just looked at Yin Chengyu deeply, his eyes greedily licking his skin inch by inch, while his fingertips pressed lightly on his hair with great restraint.

"If you keep staring at me, get out of here."

Yin Chengyu opened his eyes and met his gaze angrily. He was about to take a short nap, but Xue Shu's gaze was as if it had substance, sweeping across his face inch by inch, making it impossible for him to ignore it.

Perhaps because there was not much anger in Yin Chengyu's tone, Xue Shu became bolder: "Your Highness looks good."

He actually dared to talk back. It turned out that I was too tolerant of him.

Yin Chengyu was almost laughing at his anger. He sat up, pointed outside and sneered, "Get lost now."

Xue Shu did not move, but he did not talk back. He just lowered his eyes and said, "We haven't reached Fushou Palace yet."

Before reaching Fushou Palace, we naturally need to hide our whereabouts.

Yin Chengyu pinched his brows, exhaled a breath of anger, pointed at him with his fingertips, and said with gritted teeth: "Leave Fushou Palace, you will get out, and you are not allowed to ride a horse!"

Xue Shu replied "yes" obediently, and then said, "Then shall I continue to press your head?"

"If you shut up, I won't have a headache anymore." Yin Chengyu glared at him fiercely, ignored him and just looked out the window.

The carriage took three quarters of an hour to arrive at Fushou Palace.

Yin Chengyu went in to burn the first incense, and then had a vegetarian meal in the Fushou Palace before leaving.

However, he did not return to Tianjin City, but took a small path to another place.

——The real destination of this trip is a Taoist temple built halfway up the Baxian Mountain.

The Taoist temple is already quite old. Not only has the paint on the pillars in front of the gate fallen off, but even the words on the plaque on the door have faded. From a distance, only the three words "Baihe Temple" can be vaguely seen.

Yin Chengyu did not approach, but made a silent gesture and ordered people to surround the Taoist temple.

Xue Shu followed beside him and immediately understood his purpose. He asked in a low voice, "Who do you want to arrest, Your Highness?"

"A slippery old Taoist priest."

Yin Chengyu then told Xue Shu the whole story.

The Baihe Temple had been abandoned for many years and had long lost its popularity. The Taoists on the mountain had left one by one and later, only two were left guarding the dilapidated temple.

One of them is the Taoist Wangchen who had died long ago; the other is the old Taoist priest who is to be captured today.

The two were originally a master and apprentice. As the Taoist temple was having trouble making a living, they went down the mountain to make a living, relying on some mysterious techniques to cheat people out of money. The master and apprentice divided the work and cooperated with each other. The old Taoist priest was responsible for making secret arrangements to scare people, while the Taoist Wangchen pretended to be a master with a fairy-like appearance, taking the opportunity to attract customers and sell talismans at high prices to exorcise demons.

Later, Taoist Wangchen gained some fame through cheating and deceiving people, and caught the eye of Wan Youliang, who then sent him to Wangjing City by Yin Chengjing.

But whether it was Wan Youliang or Yin Chengjing, they only knew that Taoist Wangchen was very capable and could imitate handwriting and forge seals, but they didn't know that all his skills were taught to him by his master.

The old Taoist priest was much smarter than his apprentice. He knew the principle of making money quietly and did not let Wangchen Taoist priest expose his existence. If Yin Chengyu had not sent people to investigate Wangchen Taoist priest's life and found clues, he would probably not know the existence of this old Taoist priest.

This old Taoist priest had been in the streets for a long time, and not only was he alert, but he was also very skilled. Yin Chengyu had sent someone to arrest him once before, but he accidentally let him escape.

I thought he would never show up again, but unexpectedly he disguised himself and quietly returned to the Taoist temple.

As soon as Yin Chengyu received the news, he immediately brought people over.

Taoist Wangchen was silenced too early, and many things could not be verified. This old Taoist probably knew as much as Taoist Wangchen. In order to ensure that there was no mistake, he brought Xue Shu here.

"Go ahead, don't let him run away."

Yin Chengyu thought for a moment and reminded, "People who have fought with him say that he has some strange skills and is very slippery. You should be careful when fighting."

Xue Shu responded and walked towards the Taoist temple.

He deliberately took very slow steps, and when he reached the closed door, he looked back and forth for a long time before knocking hesitantly: "Is anyone there? Is anyone there?"

He knocked on the door several times, but no one answered. He then shouted, "If no one is here, I will come in. Gods and immortals, please forgive me for any offense."

He bowed to all four directions while muttering to himself, like a young boy lost in the mountains, and nervously pushed the door of the Taoist temple.

This abandoned and dilapidated Taoist temple naturally had no bolt on the door. After pushing it open, he cautiously poked his head out to look for a while before stepping into the door and preparing to go inside.

Just as he took a step forward, an old voice suddenly came from the side: "Who are you?"

Xue Shu seemed to be startled. He looked at the other party anxiously and nervously, and even his voice was nervous: "My friend and I got separated halfway and lost our way. It's getting late, so I want to stay overnight at the Taoist temple. Are you the master of the temple? Can you take me in for a night?"

The old Taoist squinted his eyes and looked at him from head to toe. After a long while, he took a step to close the gate of the Taoist temple: "Go in, you can stay in the back room for one night, don't run around."

Xue Shu smiled at him gratefully, walked in front of him without any precautions, and looked around curiously: "This is the first time I know there is a Taoist temple on the Eight Immortals Mountain. Is there only one Taoist priest in the temple?"

"Yes." The old Taoist priest followed him and glanced at his palm: "The Taoist temple is in a remote location, and there are not many people——"

As he was replying, a dagger slipped out from his sleeve and stabbed fiercely at the back of Xue Shu's chest.

Xue Shu, who was walking in front, was prepared and dodged to the side, grabbing his wrist and sweeping his lower body with his right leg. But the old Taoist twisted his wrist and slipped away like a fish, escaping to the back hall.

Xue Shu's eyes darkened, and he looked at the transparent mucus on his hands with disdain. He knew that the old Taoist must have smeared something like frog eggs on his body - frog eggs are colorless and slippery after being mixed. The trick of "drawing water with a bamboo basket" is a sleight of hand made with frog eggs, which is a common item among many jugglers.

He narrowed his eyes, pulled out the meteor hammer he had prepared in advance, and chased after him.

The old Taoist priest was not as fast as him. When he saw Xue Shu catching up with him, he wanted to use the same trick again. However, he didn't expect that this time Xue Shu did not fight him in close combat, but threw out the meteor hammer.

The hammer with the iron spike hit the old Taoist priest's waist heavily. At the same time, the other hammer, with the help of inertia, circled around his waist twice, entangling him tightly.

The old Taoist priest who was running forward suddenly lost his balance, fell to the ground, and was unable to get up for a long time.

Xue Shu saw that he didn't move, so he went forward to arrest him, but he didn't expect the old Taoist priest who didn't move to suddenly open his mouth and gave him a sinister smile -

Unfortunately, Xue Shu was very familiar with these little tricks and was quicker than him. He had already cut off his jaw before he could spit out the hidden weapon.

The short bamboo tube containing the hidden weapon rolled out of his mouth and fell to the ground with a gurgle.

Xue Shu bound his hands with the iron chain of a meteor hammer, cut one of his leg tendons to prevent him from escaping, and then dragged him out.

The old Taoist priest watched him crush the bamboo tube containing the hidden weapon with his foot, turned around and smiled grimly at him, no longer the innocent and kind person he had pretended to be.

Yin Chengyu waited outside for less than two quarters of an hour before he saw Xue Shu coming out dragging someone with him.

He pushed the old Taoist priest in front of Yin Chengyu and said, "We caught him."

A smile appeared on Yin Chengyu's face. Although he didn't praise him, his eyes showed admiration.

He looked at the old Taoist priest. He had just fought with him and the other party was quite fierce. However, he had some backbone. Even though he was lame on one leg, he still stood firm. "Who are you? You dare to steal money and kill people in broad daylight! Aren't you afraid of the government?!"

He shouted loudly, looking like a scoundrel who was asking how dare you kill innocent people.

Before Yin Chengyu could say anything, Xue Shuxian's face turned gloomy.

He narrowed his eyes and kicked the old Taoist priest's knee hard.

The old Taoist priest was caught off guard and lost his balance, and his knee hit the ground heavily.

But Xue Shu still felt that it was not enough. He took the sword from the guard next to him and smashed the scabbard heavily on his spine, forcing his entire body to stick to the ground and bury his face in the dust. Then he said coldly: "Who do you think you are? Answer me on your knees."

The author has something to say:

Gou Gou: I am the only one who can talk back to His Highness.

Your Highness:? You can’t either:)
