Chapter 39 Thoughts on Being Punished by Qin Ge

As soon as he said this, everyone present knew what he meant. He was going to take away the vice president's right to speak.

Zhang Zhihui, also from Tianyu headquarters, was in his thirties, still in the prime of his life. A smile still lingered on his face as he said, "Zhiqiang, I understand your concerns for the company, but we must also fully trust the absolute authority above us. Our company is in its early stages of development, and TEDA is a new company with high hopes from headquarters. We must lead by example. Reform means being bold in employing new people and taking big steps."

Sun Zhiqiang wanted to say something else, but Zhang Zhihui continued, "I understand everyone's concerns. Puyang is such an important project, with such a heavy order. Qin Ge is young and can't shoulder this responsibility. Let the final results speak for themselves. When the time comes, the results will not lie. If Vice President Qin still needs more experience, we can discuss it then."

Zhang Zhihui pushed and pulled, and his words were flawless. Although the first sentence seemed to be to protect Qin Ge, the second sentence gave Sun Zhiqiang face. Everyone present was an old fox, and they understood what Zhang Zhihui said as soon as he said it.

Qin Ge was parachuted in and had no idea of Sun Zhiqiang's background, but he heard that behind Sun Zhiqiang was Sun Jia, who was omnipotent in Qin Province. Zhang Zhihui, the old fox, knew this too, and he could not afford to offend either side.

After the meeting, it was almost lunch time. Qin Ge went out with his notebook and was stopped by a voice from behind.

Qin Ge remembered her; she was from the design department.

"My name is Zhang Yuan, I work in the design department. I used to work in the design department at the headquarters."

Another person transferred from headquarters, Zhang Yuan, a pretty girl with black curly hair, was about thirty years old. She looked generous and bright.

Qin Ge stretched out his hand: "Qin Ge, from the project department."

Zhang Yuan had heard Qin Ge's name a long time ago: "I know that when the transfer order came down, everyone in the company was very experienced and was guessing who would get such an important position."

"I didn't expect to see you today. You're actually so young. It's really like the new generation is pushing the old generation out. I think the guy inside will be shocked."

TEDA's cafeteria was outside the office building. The sun was scorching outside. Qin Ge and Zhang Yuan were walking and talking when they heard the roar of an engine behind them. The security guard trotted over and pressed the button to raise the barrier. A magnificent red Ferrari sports car rushed out without slowing down, raising dust all the way.

"He's relying on his relationship with the Sun family and is really trying to get ahead of himself."

Zhang Yuan twitched her chin. "Don't take what happened this morning to heart. He's just like that. We all assumed he was interested in your position, but we didn't expect someone to be parachuted in from above. He must be feeling uncomfortable."

Qin Ge asked doubtfully, "Sun family?"

Zhang Yuan smiled and said, "Qin Province isn't a big place, but it's not small either. You'll understand once you've been here for a while."

Qin Ge didn't say anything. Zhang Yuan saw that he was young and new to the company, and that no one would easily reveal anything to others. She said, "I'm a few years older than you, but listen to my advice. Don't underestimate TEDA, as it's a small, newly established company. The waters may be shallow, but there are many bad guys, especially that Sun Zhihui. It's better to offend your immediate superior than to conflict with him. You can't afford to offend him."

The administration gave Qin Ge a meal card for the company cafeteria, so he ate a quick meal there and then went back upstairs to work.

When Shengxia arrived at school that morning, she ran into Feng Caiwei. She was very happy to see her: "Let's go. We have classes this morning. Let's go have breakfast first."

Although they were in different majors, they had many of the same open courses in their freshman year. The first class in the morning was Ideology and Politics. More than 70 people were crowded in the large lecture hall in the old building. The squeaking fan above their heads was like a lullaby for an early riser like Sheng Xia. She couldn't help but hug her arms and fell asleep.

The second class was Introduction to Sociology. The teacher was an old professor. Shengxia opened her eyes with difficulty, yawned, and looked around. There were fewer people in the classroom. Perhaps not many people chose this major.

Shengxia was so sleepy that she kept nodding her head. If Feng Caiwei hadn't insisted on pulling her to sit in the front, according to Shengxia herself, she would definitely have sat in the last row.

In the last few minutes of get out of class, the professor asked the students to write an essay based on environmental protection issues. Feng Caiwei was thinking about it and reminded Shengxia beside her: "Wake up, the teacher has assigned an essay, and you have to hand it in after you finish it."

Shengxia was so sleepy that she couldn't even lift her head: "I've finished writing. Please hand it in for me later. Don't bother me. I'm tired..."

Feng Caiwei pulled out the book that Shengxia had been holding down, flipped through it, and saw an article written by Shengxia. However, the handwriting was a bit ugly, and there were even a few typos. Seeing these typos, Feng Caiwei couldn't help but frown.

"You're amazing! Shengxia, how did you manage to write this article in your sleep?"

Shengxia said angrily: "Someone forced me to learn it in advance."

Feng Caiwei pointed to a paragraph in the article and said, "How did you come up with this angle? Tell me about it."

Shengxia took a glance and thought, how else could he have thought of this? He thought of this because he was lazy and Qin Ge found out, and he was punished to stand aside.

But Shengxia still wanted to save face: "I thought of it with my brain, how else could I have thought of it?"

Feng Caiwei looked at the students around them who were all busy drawing, and said in a low voice, "Shengxia, tell me quietly, are you secretly asking the teacher for some extra lessons? This is not a good idea!"

"My biggest effort is to cook two dishes."

Although Feng Caiwei was usually carefree, she was actually a very stubborn person. She was particularly interested in the people whose ideas were different from hers. She asked the Cheng family to tell her about it. Feng Caiwei was starving and was about to take out the leftover corn from her schoolbag to continue chewing it. Suddenly, she thought of something and looked up and said, "Hey, let me tell you, next time Qin Ge comes and asks you how I performed, just tell him that I was very serious in class. Don't say that I slept in class, okay?"

Feng Caiwei nodded seriously.

Shengxia took a look and started to secretly chew corn while explaining the problem to Feng Caiwei.

Shengxia has never been a stingy person, unless she's too tired to talk, at which point nothing you say will be of any use. But if she does talk, she won't hide it like some good students, afraid that you'll surpass them if you learn it. Or maybe she feels that hiding things is more of a waste of brainpower than just talking directly, so she's too lazy to bother.

After listening to Shengxia's ideas, Feng Caiwei still found them very novel: "Shengxia, I didn't expect you to really like studying. From now on, we will be Jinghai's study partners. We must encourage each other!"
