Chapter 8 Belated Affection, Endless Violence

It snowed heavily all night, and the snow in Prince Chun's mansion had piled up to the height of the steps.

Fu Tong'er put on her own clothes, came out of Prince Chun's mansion, and headed west.

He didn't eat breakfast in the morning and his hand was still bandaged.

After walking for about half an hour, my stomach was already rumbling. Just across the street ahead would be Prince Hui's Palace.

A row of guards from Prince Hui's Palace spotted her, bent down and whispered a few words, then one of them quickly ran towards Prince Hui's Palace.

Soon, King Hui came galloping past. Seeing Fu Tong'er, he remained seated on his horse, pulling at the reins and looking down. Seeing her shivering in the snow, she said nothing. After a long moment, he coldly asked, "Where did you go last night?"

Fu Tong'er just pretended that this person didn't exist. She walked around his white horse and went straight to Prince Hui's palace.

Upon seeing this, King Hui frowned and rode his horse over to block Fu Tong'er's way.

"This king asks where you went last night!"

Fu Tong'er rolled her eyes at him and walked to the side, trying to take a detour.

"Do you know that I've been looking for you all night?" King Hui held out his hand. "Come up and return with me."

Fu Tong'er ignored the hand that had hit her countless times and said, "It has nothing to do with you. We will go to His Majesty today to get a divorce."

King Hui was startled at first, then became furious: "Are you itching for trouble?"

Fu Tong'er still ignored him.

King Hui dismounted helplessly, held Fu Tong'er's shoulders, and said with his head down: "Don't be angry, I will give you some favor in the future."

Fu Tong'er quickly stepped back: "Don't touch me! You don't deserve it!"

After saying that, he dodged and, enduring the pain in his knees, crawled under the horse's belly and ran towards Prince Hui's Palace!

King Hui whipped his horse and rushed over, untied his cloak and threw it over Fu Tong'er's head, saying: "As my princess, how can you walk on the street in your middle clothes?"

In the darkness, Fu Tong'er smelled a disgusting odor coming from King Hui. She tore off the cloak on her head, threw it on the ground, and walked away.

"You!" King Hui looked at his cloak thrown on the snow, his heart was in turmoil, and he suddenly felt a little sad.

After Fu Tong'er returned to Prince Hui's mansion, she went to the side courtyard where she lived and put on a padded jacket. The sound of Prince Hui's footsteps came from behind her.

"Have you seen a doctor for your hand?" King Hui walked over and was about to hold the left hand that he had stepped hard on last night.

Fu Tong'er instinctively retracted her hand and said coldly: "I'll go to the palace to wait for you."

"Fu Tong'er! You are fooling around!" King Hui raised his hand and slapped her! With a slap, she fell to the ground, bleeding from the corner of her mouth.

At this time, Hong'er came over from the front yard and took Prince Hui's arm, saying softly, "Oh, sister is back. Princess Hui, you are so dignified to spend the night outside."

"Just wait, I'll make you pay!"

Hong'er said, "Sister, did you find a backer last night, or did you find a man?"

Isn’t that what I mean!

Fu Tong'er stood up, pointed at Hong'er, and said, "Those who do evil will eventually perish!" Then she walked around the two of them and headed towards the gate of Prince Hui's Mansion.

Prince Hui brushed aside Hong'er, quickly walked over, and pressed Fu Tong'er's shoulders, saying, "You're determined to divorce, right? Okay, I'll take you to the palace! I want to see how you'll be scolded by our father! You're giving up your good life, yet you insist on making trouble!"

He said yes, grabbed Fu Tong'er's wrist and walked out. After jumping on his horse, he stretched out his hand and said, "If you want a divorce, hold on to my hand!"

"Where is Qiao'er? What did you do to her?" Fu Tong'er stood in the wind and snow, shivering constantly. She had never bought a new piece of clothing since she married into Prince Hui's mansion.

"She?" King Hui's eyes were intriguing. "She's in the palace, very safe."

Fu Tong'er rolled her eyes at King Hui and said, "I'll go there on my own. Your Highness, don't bother with me."

"Fu Tong'er, you're determined to go against me, aren't you? I'm pitying you, so I let you ride on the same horse with me. Come on, don't be stubborn with me. There's even a slap mark on your face—?"

When Fu Tong'er heard this, she touched her left cheek and felt a burning pain.

"Give me some silver." Fu Tong'er felt a lump in her throat after she said that.

King Hui was startled and asked, "What do you want to do?"

"Give me some...silver." Fu Tong'er choked with grievance.

"Okay, okay," King Hui fumbled around in his pocket for a while and pulled out a few pieces of silver. "Here."

Fu Tong'er took the silver, endured the pain in her knees, and limped to the side of the road to stop a sedan chair.

King Hui rode over and asked, "What happened to your leg?"

Fu Tong'er ignored him and said to the sedan bearer, "The main palace gate. Thank you."
