Chapter 1161 Eye-opening
Nie Yao responded indifferently, then hung up the phone and continued eating the midnight snack in front of her.
"Nie Jinxi, will you come over later?" Li Jinxing asked with a smile after seeing her finish chatting.
"Well, she can't play tricks this time!" Nie Yao nodded slightly and smiled at Li Jinxing, "She will be here soon..."
"Do you need me to step away?" Li Jinxing asked with a smile.
"No need..." Nie Yao smiled and shook her head, pointing at the midnight snack in front of Li Jinxing and said, "Just continue to enjoy your midnight snack. Don't worry about me and Nie Jinxi..."
Li Jinxing nodded slightly and continued to have supper with Nie Yao.
After finishing the midnight snack, the old housekeeper took away the dishes and brought up a plate of fruit. Li Jinxing pressed the remote control boredly, while Nie Yao picked up her archaeological notes and took a look at the manuscripts she had drawn and the photos she had taken while waiting for Nie Jinxi to come.
An hour later, Nie Yao got up and went to the bathroom. When the old housekeeper heard the doorbell ring, he got up to check and found that Nie Jinxi's car had arrived at the gate of the villa.
"Master Jiu, Nie Jinxi's car has arrived..."
"Let her in!" Li Jinxing replied indifferently.
The old butler nodded, opened the door and let Nie Jinxi's car in. When Nie Jinxi's car stopped at the door of the villa, the old butler did not go out to pick her up in person as he did for other guests.
It wasn't until the doorbell rang that the old housekeeper slowly opened the door. He saw Nie Jinxi standing at the door with a stern look on her face. He asked directly, "Where's Nie Yao? I want to see her!"
Seeing Nie Jinxi's blunt words, the old housekeeper frowned slightly, but still replied politely, "Madam is waiting in the living room. Please follow me in!"
When Nie Jinxi heard the word "Madam" from his mouth, her eyebrows raised slightly, and she sneered and asked, "Madam? What kind of Madam is she?"
"This is our Ninth Master's house. Madam is engaged to Ninth Master, so of course she's the Madam here!" The old housekeeper explained unhappily, and asked Nie Jinxi to change into slippers at the entrance before leading her into the living room.
