Chapter 1226: Being Angry with Each Other

Chapter 1226: Being Angry with Each Other

Nie Yao was stunned for a moment. Before she could say anything, the proprietress walked away with a smile and went to solicit business again.

Nie Yao lowered her head and continued to eat the food in front of her with sauce, thinking about what the proprietress had said, and it seemed as if she suddenly became enlightened.

She quickly finished eating all the food and felt full. She stood up and asked the proprietress to pack another portion of porridge and rice rolls, and also specially packed the seasoning sauce. She thanked the proprietress with a smile, paid the bill, left, and called a taxi back to the hospital.

Only this time, the pace was much lighter.

When Nie Yao returned to the hospital, she didn't know whether her grandfather had eaten lunch. As soon as she opened the door of the ward, she smiled and said, "Grandpa, you didn't eat lunch, did you? I brought you something to eat!"

When Elder Nie saw Nie Yao come back so soon, he was a little surprised and asked with concern, "Ayao, why did you come back so soon?"

Nie Yao raised an eyebrow and replied with a smile, "I'll be back after talking to him. Do you think I'll stay in his company? He has a lot of things to do!"

"That's true..." Elder Nie nodded in agreement, his eyes never leaving Nie Yao's face. "Ayao, how was your conversation with Li Jinxing? You...didn't have a fight, did you?"

Nie Yao paused as she helped Old Nie with the dishes and chopsticks, then raised her head and smiled at Grandpa, answering nonchalantly, "No, we had a good chat..."

"That's good!" Old Nie was relieved when he saw that she didn't seem to be too affected.

"Grandpa, I bought you some chicken porridge and rice noodle rolls, as well as some soup dumplings. Try them, they're delicious. Here's the seasoning sauce!"

Nie Yao handed her the spoon and helped her grandfather prepare the seasoning.

"It's just right. I just told Lao Lu that I didn't want to eat and wanted to drink some porridge, and you brought it to me!" Old Nie couldn't help laughing when he smelled the fragrant porridge, and quickly picked up the spoon and started eating.

Seeing that his grandfather had a good appetite, Nie Yao couldn't help but laugh.

After finishing lunch with her grandfather, Nie Yao helped him rinse his mouth and chatted with him for a while before helping him lie down for a nap.

Nie Yao kept her cell phone with her all afternoon, but Li Jinxing didn't call her at all. Maybe he was angry about her words, or maybe he was busy with work!

Nie Yao was not in a hurry to contact him. Since Lu Heng's issue had not been resolved, she wanted to ignore him for a while!

That night, Nie Yao stayed in the hospital overnight. Neither she nor Li Jinxing called each other to say hello, nor did they send each other a message, as if they were sulking with each other!

Although Mr. Nie heard that Nie Yao did not quarrel, he was still a little worried when he saw that Nie Yao did not receive a call from Li Jinxing in the evening, and Li Jinxing did not come to the hospital as before.

But every time he tried, Nie Yao evaded him. Old Nie could only shake his head and sigh helplessly. As an old man, it was not appropriate for him to intervene rashly in the affairs of young people. He just had to wait for them to solve it themselves!

Early the next morning, before Nie Xiao came to take over, Old Nie sent Nie Yao back early so that she could rest early.

"Why are you in such a hurry, Grandpa? I'm not tired. I'll have breakfast with you first. It won't be too late to leave after Nie Xiao comes!" Nie Yao said with a smile.

"I'm afraid that if you don't go back, your fiancé will be worried!" Old Nie shook his head helplessly.

Nie Yao was stunned for a moment, then shrugged and smiled nonchalantly, "Why would he be so anxious? It's not like he doesn't know I'm taking care of you in the hospital!"
