Chapter 128 Nightmare
Well, if he really cared, why would he wait for her to contact him while he had no news at all?
Nie Yao smiled self-deprecatingly, but still did not call Li Jinxing. She put the phone on the bedside table.
I don’t know if it was because of what my junior Steve said, but Nie Yao hasn’t been sleeping well these past two days. Almost every night, she dreams of Li Jinxing’s face…

After an unknown amount of time, she seemed to be vaguely walking into a fog, and on the other side of the fog, there was a familiar figure who looked very similar to Li Jinxing.
She subconsciously walked towards Li Jinxing on the other side of the river, but found that there was a river separating them. Li Jinxing, who was standing on the other side of the river, seemed to see her and smiled at her.
At this moment, a masked man dressed in black and holding a weapon came towards Li Jinxing. Nie Yao was so scared that her eyes widened and she shouted at Li Jinxing to run away quickly.
However, Li Jinxing was a step too late and was hit by the weapon held by the masked man. Bright red blood flowed out of Li Jinxing's chest.
"Li Jinxing--" Nie Yao yelled and tried to rush forward to save him. She sat up suddenly and realized that she had had a nightmare. Her forehead was already covered with sweat.
Nie Yao breathed a sigh of relief, picked up her phone and saw that it was already morning.
She didn't know why she had such a terrible dream. She smiled bitterly and shook her head, but she was no longer sleepy. She simply got up and took a hot shower.
After she finished washing up and looked at the calendar again, she remembered that today was her cousin Yu Wanqing's birthday party!
Her mind had been in a mess these days, either thinking about Li Jinxing or studying the information about Li Jinxing's ancient Egyptian artifacts. She almost forgot to pick up the birthday gift she had customized for Yu Wanqing.
Nie Yao had a quick breakfast and immediately drove to her destination. After picking up her birthday present, she looked at herself in casual clothes and remembered her cousin's instructions in the message, so she went to the shopping mall in the city center.
First, I went to the barber shop to fix my messy hair, and then bought a nice and elegant dress.
"Ms. Nie, this pair of high heels goes well with the dress you bought. Would you like to try them on?" the clerk recommended with a smile.
Nie Yao looked down at the high heels recommended by the clerk, and the pair that Li Jinxing gave her appeared in her mind. She was a little dazed for a moment.
"Miss Nie?" The clerk called her a few times, and Nie Yao finally came back to her senses. She shook her head and smiled softly, "No, I just need a pair of flat shoes!"
Seeing that she insisted on not wearing high heels, the clerk picked out a pair of nice flat shoes for her. After Nie Yao changed her clothes and shoes and put on some light makeup, seeing that it was almost time, she drove directly to her cousin Yu Wanqing's swimming pool villa in the suburbs.
