Chapter 1398 Breaking into a Private House
Nie Yao had just finished drinking coffee with her cousin Yu Wanqing and went home when she received a call from the maid in the old house.
"Miss, something bad has happened..."
Nie Yao frowned slightly and asked in confusion, "What's wrong? Why are you so flustered?"
"Miss Nie Jinxi came back and we tried to stop her, but she insisted on breaking in..." the maid said in a panic, her voice quite helpless.
"She broke in? She broke into a private house in broad daylight. Can't you stop her?" Nie Yao's face darkened.
"We wanted to stop her, but she said she had some things she hadn't packed yet and had to come in. She also said that if anyone tried to stop her, she would tell Master Nie that he agreed!"

Nie Yao scolded them and said coldly, "Stop her. She can come in if she wants, but don't let her go. I'll be right back!"
"Yes..." The maid on the other end of the phone answered quickly and respectfully.
Nie Yao quickly stood up and asked the driver to drive her back to the Nie family's old house. On the way, she called the police: "Hello, this is Nie Yao. I want to call the police. Someone broke into my ancestral home and tried to rob and steal—"
She probably explained the situation to the police and urged the driver to drive back quickly.
After finally breaking into the Nie family's old house, Nie Jinxi went back to her room to look for her belongings while searching for anything valuable in the old house...
Nie's father's room was locked, and although her own father's door was not locked, there was nothing valuable that she could take away to pay back the money!

Nie Jinxi's expression changed slightly. She hadn't expected Nie Yao to actually come back. Her eyes widened as she demanded, "When did you come back? Weren't you in Egypt?"
"When have I ever not had to explain myself to you..." Nie Yao looked at the small bag she was carrying and raised an eyebrow, asking, "Why, are you trying to take valuables from home again?"
