Chapter 1430 Using Moonlight
Everyone else dispersed, but the two people holding the folding ladder were worried that Jamie would accidentally fall down, so they refused to leave.
Nie Yao hurriedly put two protective helmets on them, then raised her head and continued to look.
Sure enough, thanks to Jamie's efforts, a piece of stone slab was knocked loose. He carefully moved it away, revealing a small skylight.
The moonlight outside also slowly poured in through this skylight.
Nie Yao and other team members breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. At least now it can be proved that their speculation was correct and this move was not in vain!
"Jamie, come down first!" Nie Yao also knew that the big guy Jamie was tired, so she looked up and persuaded him with a smile.
Jamie nodded in response, put down the hammer, held the not-so-big stone in one hand, and carefully climbed down the stainless steel folding ladder with some difficulty.
"Captain, this stone..." Jamie put down the stone in his hand and asked hesitantly.
"Put it aside for now. Wait until our mission is explained. This stone may need to be put back exactly where it was!"
Nie Yao gave an instruction, and the big man Jamie quickly packed the stones and placed them in the corner. The others raised their heads and looked in the direction of the skylight.
"Captain, the moonlight shining through here really looks extraordinary. It actually illuminates the entire area around this secret room!"
Someone pointed at the moonlight coming through the dome and said to Nie Yao.
Nie Yao also looked up and saw that the moonlight was shining down and forming a refracted light around the secret room. He did not show any surprise, nodded and smiled faintly, "Since Priest Senmut can refract sunlight to form a mechanism, then it is not surprising that he uses moonlight!"
The refracted moonlight cast a faint spot of light on the wall of the secret room. However, unlike the sunlight spots Nie Yao had seen during the day, this spot of light only revealed a fragmented mural...
Nie Yao subconsciously reached out to try it, and sure enough, there were no bulges or depressions, so it could be opened!
The other team members also tried it, but found that there was still no change, which made them a little disappointed.
"Captain, could it be that we've made a mistake? Even though the moonlight is reflecting, there's not much change around this secret room. This stone door can't be opened!"
"I think the captain's idea is correct. Look, Jamie has already moved the stone away to let the moonlight shine through. I don't believe that priest Senmut would come up with such a plan for no reason!"
Another teammate murmured.
Nie Yao also frowned slightly and fell into silence.
She also felt that her idea was correct, so where was the missing step...
She raised her eyes to look towards the skylight and saw the mural on the dome clearly depicting the distribution of stars. This star distribution map was much more complete than the incomplete mural in the prayer room of the Queen's Temple!
There were seven striking stars painted on it, with small stars scattered around, forming a curved spoon shape...
It looks somewhat similar to the distribution of the Big Dipper!
She believed that Priest Senmut would never paint these murals for no reason. What message did he want to convey through these murals?
"Captain, have we failed again?" someone asked dejectedly.
